Are there any other models for under $100? I am most likely going to buy another and shelf it for a while.
-
I am buying myself a birthday present. I want to get myself a nice new vintage rolex. Does anyone have any good suggestions for a nice rep under $150? I wouldent mind a GMT master. I already have 2 Seadweller 1665's. im thinking about just buying another one of josh's 98$ ones because i like it so much. Let me know what you guys think i should get.
-
yup, thats what i thought. Those 2 never get worn. They are not in my collection either.
-
My dad bought these 2 reps about a year or so ago and im wondering how good of reps they are. I used to have 2 TT subs from the same batch but they both broke.
-
I am most likely going to get another one from DW. He wants 90$ for one. Thats the cheapest price ive seen. maybe $75 once. I contacted josh and he said his movement wont work. If anyone knows where i can get one for less than 90 that will work with a DW case, please let me know.

Im looking to spend under $100. I screwed up my brand new movement and i dont wanna pay to have it disassembled. Im thinking i could spend less money by just getting a new one.
-
Who sells Asian 7750 movements? Thanks
-
I am asking the repairers how much it will cost to secure the pushers, shorten the stem and fix the movement. There is no way im ganna talk myself into taking that whole movement apart. But i appreciate the help. That link you sent is pretty interesting, ganna have to save that one.
-
Screw it. Im not taking this thing apart. Im just ganna send it to get repaired and hope it doesnt cost me too much. Ive had enough frustration in this project.
-
I asked 2 of the repairers on here how much they would charge to fix me problems with this. Depending on the price and if i think I can fix it myself, I will decide. Are there any tutorials on how to fix my problem?
-
Well i screwed it up yet again. I got the stem in fine but realized it was way too long. And when i removed it i did not realize i was in the setting position. I can get the stem to go back in and go through the winding position and the setting position but the movement just wont start. I must have screwed up the keyless or some other crap. I am about spent on this project. does anyone have any options for me like an easy fix?
-
I think the stem is too long? no? I also cant seem to secure the pushers. Is there something that im missing?
-
Ill try that. dident get it stuck yet. but i did that last time. The hands were not hard to get on. It was the subdial hands that were a pain in the A. I dropped one on my rug and it took me a half hour to find it
-
It also came with 2 stems. one with the case and one with the movement. They both wind it if i lightly put it in there and turn. Am i supposed to switch the crowns or just use the one that came with the case. They are different lengths and the one that came with the movement is a bit thicker.

ok one more problem. its all together except the stem. I cant get either stems to stay in. Same problem i had last time I took a 6263 apart. which is why im in this situation building one. I can get one stem to wind it but it will not stay in. What am i doing wrong?
-
Happy to say that I just received my 6263 parts about 10 minutes ago. The only thing I do not know how to do is secure the Dial to the Movement. There are little hooks on the side of the movement as you can see in the pictures. Im not going screw around with it if I don't know what to do. So what do i have to do with those little hooks? Thanks for the help.

awesome i cannot wait to get that stuff and start the build.

I just ordered a DIY case set and 7750 movement from DW. I have a demolished 6263 from josh and when i get the stuff from DW i will have everything i need to make a complete 6263. But my question is will the hand set from my old 6263 work with the new movement. I dont see any reason why not. The old movement was a 7750 as well. Please let me know. Thanks.
-
Just exactly what or who is DW? and do you have any photos of the stock band?
-
well thanks for that link. I just bought a case, movement and dial. Now i can have my daytona back.

I mean converting alll the parts to gen over time...
-
So i've got one of those 1665's from josh for 98$ and suppose I got a gen movement. Could I install it in my watch and slowly but surly convert it to a gen? There is one on ebay right now, and im wondering how safe it is to buy it. Movement On The Bay Doesn't ebay take fake items off? The guy has good feedback, what is there to be worried about? Is it possible that it is a worn out movement? or stolen? Would it be wise to buy it and go from there? I see that most of the other parts are on the bay but just the case is the big item that never shows up. As for the dials and hands on ebay, are they genuine or after market? I am 18 and I want to start building my assets (as in gen watches) Im positive that if i had the parts in front of me that I would be able to assemble them correctly. I need opinions from you guys because you are much more experienced than I. I don't want to jump into anything with out thinking alot about it first. Thanks

Perfect Clones Sea Dweller I just found out my mom got me that for christmas, so i was wondering if anyone has any detailed pics or comments on that particular SD from josh? Thanks
-
Do any of the sellers have a vintage sub that has a dome like the one on the 1665 i just got in the pic below. It doesnt have to have a date. Links to the seller would be appreciated. Thanks

What is the best site to get genuine rolex parts? Usually i would know the answer to this question and that would be ebay but there isnt much on there. The only thing ive really been looking for are cases so far. I want to build a gen sub or sea dweller. Also is there a good site to get rep parts. Thanks
