  1. BT has certainly done the research. B01 is a nice watch, it also grows on me everyday.

On the other hand, with BCE, you can find more gen parts for it. I guess this could be something to consider if you want to keep the watch for a very long time. BCE also uses unmodified A7750/ETA7750, which can be a plus.

I have three BCEs: one complete one, one will be done in a month or so and one just parts. I love all of them.

This is my modded one (with gen dial and bezel). Good luck!

  2. Chrono Avenger....with gen blue dial...pure testosterone...

psst - for formal, tho, i do like the Montbrillant white dial, rose gold...

oh and did i mention the ti/gold black dial Aerospace...2002... ;)

and when i feel like a badass, its the Blackbird, of course...

    decisions, decisions...

    R-

I feel like a badass all the time... knowing no one else I know here has as much watches as me :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  3. I voted for the Fish (of course).

Skyland is a close second and the more I look at B01 photos, more I like it. Crazy, huh? I disliked the watch when it came out but now it has become one of my favs. Let's see if it has long term appeal or not.

I've never been a big fan of the Ti watches but you gotta admit the Ti Chrono Avenger is a cool watch. I never got into the SuperOcean Heritage... too much Rolex-like for me. Standard SuperOcean (both new and old) don't do anything for me, either.

Keep the votes & comments coming! :good:

Don't know BT... The SOH looks more like UPO to me... :)

  4. I agree with everybody that most of the popular gen have been replicated already, so it's getting harder for any new reps to impress us now.

I hope the rep factory stops using A7750 on all automatic chronograph watches though. If the gen uses ETA 2892 with chronograph complications, they should build the rep using this setup also. I don't mind if they have to use clone movement or not, but at least the case will be more accurate.

  5. I have to agree and disagree with you on the large watches, Panerai153 :) I just don't see the size of the watch ever coming down. But I also don't see the size going bigger than 50mm neither. There are more and more people don't wear watches any more, the current trend for watches will probably last for a long time.

As for the large watches, I think the actual dimensions of the watch doesn't really determined its wrist presence. The factors determine the wrist presence are the actual dial size, dial color, finish of the case, whether the lugs are straight or curved and the width between the lugs. For example, I use to have a LACO manual wind sports ETA 6498 movt. It's only 42mm wide, but it has straight lugs, smaller width between lugs (only 20mm), flat case, thus it wears very big and uncomfortable to wear. My SA black steel on the other hand is very comfortable to wear and it's 48mm wide I believe.

  6. Thanks BT!

I honestly like them both, almost equally. I mean although I wish the AR coating can be better on the standard Skyland, it's still a very good watch. I like its size and blingy ratio with the chrome ss bracelet. If I only have these two watches, I would wear the Skyland 4 days a week and SA BS 3 days. I don't think I will ever get tired of them both.

If I've never owned neither of them, I would still start with getting the standard Skyland with SS bracelet. The SA BS is definitely one to get for the second watch. With it you can try on different straps and so on. It looks superb on my 7.5" wrist.

  7. Today is a nice day and also I've charged my camera this morning. So, here they are. I use to think the SA is too big for my wrist, but once I strap the watch on, it's not bad at all. I think what saves the watch is the fact it's black and it has a textured bezel, which make the watch look smaller. It's actually bigger than Pam Fiddy but has smaller presence.

The AR on the watch is amazing for being a rep out of box. It's almost as good as the AR on my Omega Planet Ocean. As you can see, in comparison to the Skyland, I wish Skyland can be better (not bad though). If I look straight to the watch, on SA I don't see the crystal but I do on the Skyland.

The overall finish of the SA is very good. The coating is very even. I was told the SA BS is from Noob factory. Well, they make decent reps for sure. Skyland has much better bezel clicks, something I wish SA has.

The hardest part of wearing a SA is actually finding the right straps. I've tried on many 24mm I have, including the gen leather one that came with the watch. There is only one seems to work ok.

    Enjoy the pictures!

  8. When people say they are not expert... I will put a big questions on the watch they sell.

Only very few times, I got a good deal because the sellers didn't what they were selling. I believe the sellers are almost always smarter than the buyers.

  9. Welcome to RWG!

Josh is great! I like buying from Ms. King better... just because she normally emails me pretty fast (within minutes), and I don't feel I overly ask her questions or for requests. You can find her info under our dealers section.

Breitling SA black steel is a good watch. I have just purchased one and had it delivered to me two days ago. It's bit bigger than Skyland, but doesn't look too big because it's black. It's the same thickness as Skyland I'd say, but feels thinner because of its size. The AR coating is much better than what's on Skyland. However, I am having problem of finding the right leather/steel watch band for it. I guess that's something you need to be aware. I think the newest version of gen Breitling rubber strap (the ones without big logo) may work on this watch. The sub dial hands look short to me, but I don't know if they are in the right length or not. Overall the watch looks cool.

  10. Guys,

I have a v3 Skyland. I'm thinking about getting a v2 just for the 1 font. Should I do it? Will miss something from the v2 that's on v3 already, which could bother me? I've read some people's postings saying that the v3 has better dial and deeper engravings on the bezel, but I don't know how much better is better. Does anybody have any side-by-side comparison pictures? Are all the v2 Skyland same quality or I should just get what BT has (graphite dial)?

    Thanks!

    Cougaree

p.s. I don't mind have the dial dots fixed by Zigmeister, in fact I'm going to do that anyway, so dial dot is not a big concern with me. What I'm interested are things that can't be fixed unless buying another watch.
