Welcome. Welcome. Welcome! A "one piece collection" 🤣. I just surpassed 100 watches in my collection.
The best part of replica's is it allows you to test drive otherwise unobtainable watches. This is a great way to hone in on what might be your 'one' grail watch someday. I have bought REPS, only to turn around and buy the GEN version.

Mine arrived from Andrew and without a doubt this is the best out of the box Rep I have ever purchased...and I have been at this Hobby since 1986! VSF makes NOOB look like 💩. Every NOOB I have picked up over the last few years has had bezel alignment issues, movement issues, etc. This VSF managed to nail a 12:00 perfect Bezel alignment (something even GEN Rolex fails at... see complaints on the The Rolex Forum) , and the "click" is tighter and more GEN feeling than NOOB.
Even hand winding this new 3285 feels great. I have a Gen 126710 and winding them side by side isn't too bad. The Rep Movement is quieter than most ETA clones, and mine is pretty smooth. If someone is not experienced manual winding a GEN vs this REP, it ~might fool them.
Still waiting to see if the power reserve is really in the 70hr range as advertised.
The only thing I would still change is the crystal for GEN. **** Does anyone know if this will take a GEN crystal? ...and the Rolex Part Number?
As the owner of a GEN 126710, REP's simply can not replicate the Cyclops AR correctly. I would say the VSF crystal is on par with a Clark's. However, if someone put a Clark's on a GEN, I would think the otherwise GEN watch was a REP...

I am looking for the ISO 3159 PDF. I have an issue paying for an international standards document regarding timekeeping. Seems like it should be public domain...
If anyone has a copy, hook a brother up. 😁

Got it. Yeah, I have always lumped these into the early Maxi dial category as well.
Lollipop in a Rolex context for me always invokes thoughts of early Submariner seconds hand.

Interesting. Still not sure what the “lollipop” denotes?

Welcome. We could use some additional 6-digit modders/experts.
It’s funny. 10 years ago I signed up on all the rep forums. Back then RWG & Repgeek seemed to be on top and RWI under the radar. I dropped off for the last few years, back now, and I was blown away by RWI’s rise.
Please continue to share across platforms. I actually like the low-noise here and the deep watchmaking talent here at RWG.

I did in fact mean 2879 I just found this:
http://www.ranfft.de/cgi-bin/bidfun-db.cgi?10&ranfft&&2uswk&ETA_2879
or it’s no date derivatives
family:
28800/21600 A/h respectively:
2850/2851: manual wind
2852/2853: manual, date
2858/2859: manual, day, date
2870/2871: automatic
2872/2873: automatic, date
2878/2879: automatic, day, date -
What denotes the MK3 Lollipop. I have a 5513 early MBW in a drawer and now I am curious...

Out of curiosity, what is the verdict on the 2879? I have a 6538 build with one under the hood...

The 2824/2836 will have stem alignment issues. I tried a similar build years ago when I bought the 1500 to steal its genuine movement for my 1016 project. I even planned on a OP (non-date) to simplify matters with an AirKing or 1002 dial. NO DICE. I also had the Yuki adapter. Stem alignment was simply too far off, and when I shimmed it I had rotor interference with the case back. I gave up on it. Still have all the parts sitting in a box. Maybe I will revisit with a 2783... Good luck...

If you take D3, you need it's companion K2-MK7 (specifically K2-MK7). D3 alone can put calcium in the wrong places. K2-MK7 makes sure the D3 activation of Calcium goes to your bones and NOT Arteries or Kidneys.
I take a D3/MK7 combo daily, and as a result, I have little to no Plaque on my teeth, and when I wake up, NO morning breath or sludge on my teeth. I could almost stop brushing in the AM!!! This is a good indication that the calcium that D3 fosters is ending up in the right places. 👍
Cheers. Stay healthy.

So, I probably shouldn't chime in here and say I have 4 DW/Spinmaster Flat Case Back (like Freddy describes) parts Daytona's laying around. I even have a correct "111 & Units" Bezel on one of them. 😄 Not for Sale right now.

Very nice. I think that would make most watch guys happy. 🙂 👍

Man that is sweet. I have been looking at this on Andrew's site since it came out. I think you convinced me to pull the trigger. 👍

Wow. That is amazing. I missed the original post.

That is exactly what I was wondering and looking for. I actually have a MQ version and was wondering if it was correct. If I comprehend correctly. I can remove the triangular cut ring just like on the 55xx to facilitate crystal changes. I can also reform the wire to stiffen the bezel rotation.
Thanks

After looking through my stack of Rolex "print" books, and some online searches, ebay parts, I have yet to find a good exploded view of the 6542 bezel assembly.
I have worked on plenty of 55xx/16xx Rolex's with the crystal, retaining ring, tension ring bezel. But, the 65xx series eludes me. I have only played with reps with the wire retainer.
Any help showing quality photos of GEN/GEN-like construction of the top half of a 65xx case series would be a help. Thanks!
Someone say 5 digit Rolex?

Awesome collection. It would be nice to see a resurgence in quality 5 digit Rolex reps. The 4-digit stuff seems to be handled well enough on the Vietnamese side, but 5-digit is lacking now. If the factories put the effort they do into the 6-digit stuff (i.e. VSF 126610), that would be great. It seems like the ARF-16610 is the last decent 5-digit being produced. It would be nice to get CHS 16710's and 16570's rolling...
Do we really need a "V13" NOOB 116610? If you can't nail something by "V3".............. 😉
