  1. Kicked it up a notch. Great work!
  2. I'm keeping a spreadsheet with total cost of each watch keeping up with things like shipping, mods, etc. When the project takes a few months and the watch in question is in new condition, I don't see anything wrong with asking the price you paid for everything. The buyer is being saved many hours of work and weeks of waiting.
  3. We spent all night in the chat room trying to figure this out when we should have just went to bed and woke up to the right answer. Great thread!
  4. Actually, I did see that yesterday. No idea when we passed it, though.
  5. Actually, if you could just continue the story where the Enterprise sails out among the stars, that would great!
  6. After last call the officer noticed a man leaving the bar so intoxicated that he could barely walk. The man stumbled around the parking lot for a few minutes, with the officer quietly observing. After what seemed an eternity and trying his keys on five different vehicles, the man managed to find his car which he fell into. He sat there for a few minutes as a number of other patrons left the bar and drove off. Finally he started the car, switched the wipers on and off (it was a fine, dry summer night) -- flicked the blinkers on, then off a couple of times, honked the horn and then switched on the lights. He moved the vehicle forward a few inches, reversed a little and then remained still for a few more minutes as some more of the other patron vehicles left. At last, the parking lot empty, he pulled out of the parking lot and started to drive slowly down the road. The police officer, having patiently waited all this time, now started up the patrol car, put on the flashing lights, and promptly pulled the man over and carried out a breathalyzer test. To his amazement the breathalyzer indicated no evidence of the man having consumed any alcohol at all! Dumbfounded, the officer said, "I'll have to ask you to accompany me to the police station. This breathalyzer equipment must be broken." "I doubt it," said the truly proud Cowboy. "Tonight I'm the designated decoy."
  7. Good idea. Pick another watch that is unavailable
  8. But at least he has a bigger pipe than Silix
  9. It's hard to tell anything from those photos =/ I see its a 3 tick Swiss Made dial without the extra Oyster Perpetual Date spacing. The date mag and dial look a lot like my MBW LV actually. Not sure if that's good for me or bad for him

  11. Okay, in another thread: I think that does meet all the requirements as well as being very, very close out of the box. If you wanted to take it to the next level, Silix can source a spare dial with the better cross very reasonably. Good answer!
  12. Wait, I'm getting two seperate threads confused..

  14. Thank you very much. I have been straddling the fence on this decision and that explanation helped greatly. Now I just need to figure out which way it helped
  15. Holy smokes I'm always amazed how easy it is for me to overlook a sticky
  16. That was powerful, Nanuq. Thank you.
