Just got back from vacation in Denver (which, mind you, was 50 degrees, gorgeous, sunny, not a cloud in the sky for the last week) to 5 inches of fresh snow in Boston. All this means that my connecting flight from Dallas to Boston was cancelled, I got rerouted via St Louis (with a couple 1.5 hour layovers in the mix), landed at Logan 4 hours later than scheduled, and they lost my skis!
For all the complaining I'd love to do, I got back to my apartment to find out my most recent purchase had arrived. I bought the budget Asian SFSO with a black dial from dvn last Monday, and it arrived just a couple days later (about an hour after my flight departed). Truly, everything the rest of the forum has said about this watch is on point. Rather than beat a dead horse, let's just say I'm supremely happy with the purchase.
I've got a gen Pro Diver strap for it on the way, should be arriving tomorrow. I'll post pics when I get the chance.
Scorecard: a handful of posts, about three weeks of RWG-ing (lurking and searching), and I've got 3 watches to my name. Talk about catching the bug...
Cheers,
d
