As soon as you get it, go to a watch smith and have it tested and greased. you will pay 20-30 euros and you will take your bath with no fear .. my opinion at least

Did you order the ref: 298ZW2980 or smthing else?, i cant figure out which one is for the 42mm case.. In R2D4's thread says that 298ZW2980 gasket is for case no 168.1651, 1653 (42mm version), but Ofrei says its for case no 168.1650 - 1652 (45.5 mm).. so im a bit confused any ideas? Thanks Slan9e

I just want to change the valve from a visual standpoint. I dont know if i have to order the full bezel assembly(tube , head, spring etc) or just the tube and head. And in case i have to order everything i was wondering if it could be made a working HE valve. i think it would be better if i epoxy the valve just in case..

I want to change the he valve on my PO with one from ofrei. I must order all the HE assembly, or just the head and tube? Since the repcase isnt threaded i guess a watertight working HE valve is not possible ? or am i wrong? Thank you

You will need very fine grain sand, mild airpressure and a very fast and steady hand. The look you want is not something hard to do, what is hard is to avoid ruining the fine edges of the case - lettering on the back. Also you should blast from the same angle all the time (if you dont the watch will produce different coloring, shading under strong light).

A seller near me tells me that he has a sub replica made from 904L steel. I told him that im not new in the game and, as far as i knew, a replica with that steel has yet to be made. He responded very quickly and told me that his indeed was 904, but he'll have the watch in ten days or so, and he agreed to meet and show me the watch. Any ideas, is it possibly true? Any ways of figuring if he tells the truth? Thank you Slan9e (if he tells the truth i guess i can pick 2-3 pieces if someone is intrested)
