  1. Sorry, you know I'm only joking

Where did you get your day & datewheel BTW?

Cousins material house along with a 7750. They had to special order the wheels and they only cost around 4 quid each but I have not got them yet, 28 day delivery time!!

Another day passes and no IWC for me!!!

  2. This is becoming painful now and I'm starting to sound like Chad!!!!!!!Where's mine!!!!!!!

I have a swiss 7750 waiting for The Zigmeister to insert into this baby with a new date and day wheel from eta in black and based on the few genuine watches I've seen it looks to be a standard Valjoux font or at least very close. Anyone else agree?

  3. Fedex have a bad reputation for loosing packages at Paris. They lost one of mine at christmas enroute to Greece and another not too long ago.

I no longer use Fedex as they dont seem to care. I hope they turn up because they do sometimes forget to update scans.

  4. Well the chronograph has no date but the "tachymeter" is in yellow on the inner bezel on the rep but white on the gen. I am sticking with the automatic as I know I can change the date font with the upcoming overlay anyhow. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

I have just seen a gen FER 00008 Scudaria Chrono and the script 'tachymeter' is indeed written in yellow and from first impressions these are 99% perfect and they are growing on me!!!!!!

  5. Offcentre date and day wheels can plague genuine watches also, it is not just the reps that have poor QC issues. I had a Breitling Bentley last year(genuine not rep) and the day wheel was not perfectly in line but it did not really bother me that much as mechanical watches can always vary slightly in their operation. It only becomes an issue for me if the particular day or date is obscured by the aperture. I guess we all have different expectaions and I hope Chad that yours comes soon and is without issues as do I hope mine is. :thumbsupsmileyanim:

  6. The new updated Pannies now seem to be trickling through as Joshua and King are both showing a very nice Regatta Sub with the new AR coated lens and date font improvements.

    I hope a PAM104 comes soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

By the way has anyone received their Pilot's watch yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol: sorry!

  7. On this occasion Eddie does not seem willing to provide a reason as to the delay in delivery, supply or anytihng else for that matter so I tihnk I must declare myself out of this buy and not send the money to him and instead put it to the cost of the gen model as I intended.

I hope you guys get this watch soon and post the much awaited member pics! :victory:

  8. Has anyone actually heard from Eddie in the last few days because I have not after repeated attempts and he has always answered quickly to me before.

Has anyone actually received this yet or got concrete proof it has been sent?

I'm yet to send my funds to him with Moneybookers as I'm waiting for it to upload into my MB account but the lack of response and nervousness surrounding this watch form other members is giving me doubts about sending it. He told me last time we spoke that the watches were shipping Monday or Tuesday of last week but nothing has arrived to anyone as of yet.

I have never had cause to doubt Eddie in the past but this time I feel something is'nt right or is it just me being paranoid!

  9. I did a bank transfer to my moneybookers account on Friday so we shall see how it works when I pay Eddie. I went through the verification process months ago but have never used the account since.

Payment to asian dealers could really become a problem if the powers that be keep looming over them watching every move we and them make!

  10. To be honest I'd forgotten and knew very little about the pushers etc when I owned this watch but you may be right looking at Maciek's pics, I hope so anyway because you could still do your project then. He says in the add that it was my watch and I do regret selling her!!!! Enjoy her my friend and welcome the wonderfdul world of vintage Daytona reps!!!!

I have since built a VJ72 Daytona and would never part with it at any cost!!!!

  11. I'm guessing you have bought your EE Daytona from Maciek in which case I was the original owner of that watch! It is a very good peice as is and really only needs a genuine crownb and tube fitting and a genuine Tropic21 crystal and it would look very good indeed.

I don't really think the watch is worth the investment of a gen VJ72 with new dial as I don't think from memory it has assymetric pushers either.

I would wait for it to arrive and live with it for a while and then maybe start a VJ72 from scratch with the correct case and dial set.

Ubiquitous is the best member to ask about these as he has built several Daytona's and I'm giving my own opinion on the watch you are about to receive.

    Cheers
