  1. I need a nice polished case: Getat or Jacksontse?
  2. Huh, here in Hungary a watch service costs ~ 20-30$ I dont know how much does it cost at an AD service.
  3. " Too bad it's not a sandwich dial " Sorry, You're right!
  4. Yes, I know it should be about 30+ hours. But I think there is something wrong with the movement (after 2 month occasionally usage). When I set the date with the crown ( in position two), I can only change 3 days ahead. After than there is no date change until I turn the crown to the other way.. just for a bit. Than again I can turn 3 days. Should I have the movement cleaned at a service? The other question: How about the very long power reserve movement? Like the IWC 7days, Panerai P2002. Have they been cloned? Or is there a plan of cloning them?
  5. Hi! I have an Omega SMP GMT with about 28hours PR. (asian21j) I also have a PAm Homage with A6497 with 50+ housr PR. How about the ETA clones? Are they equivalent to the gens Have the 7days or 8days(PAm) PR movements been already replicated?
  6. How does the Ti compare to Steel in weight? I've seen cases that appear to only be 10 grams difference, which wouldn't appear to be that much?
  7. Hi! I will post pics about the CG.... I have the lume material, I will buy some acrilyc varnish. The method that I wanna do is to fill the marks on the sandwich dial, without taking it apart. I will use a fine syringe. Is this procedure correct? Or should I take the dial apart and apply the mixed lume+varnisgh patches? On weekend I will do the job!
  8. Hi! I've just recieved this nice PAM036 homage from Military Time. It has Ti case with sapphire front, dark brown sandwich dial, recessed canon pin, a loose crown guard lever, but it worths its price. This is what I recieved. I changed the strap for an aftermarket Hirsch Liberty, dark brown. The movement is asian 6497 with swans neck and 50+ hours power reserve. As you can see the lume is quite poor, but I have already ordered some kind of lume material from a special dealer in my country. I will do the job if my watchsmith can even remove the caseback and take out the dial and hands. I will inform the crew about the process...
  9. Hi! I just've seen a movei called 12 Rounds. I discovered some nice watches shown. First one is Girard-Perregaux, i dont know the type of it. Is it rep or gen? And the others: can U identify them? Rep or Gen? The GP is on the goodboy's wrist, the second is his mate, the bad guy has the third, and the last one is on the FBI man, who almost dies You got the homework!
  10. I'm wondering if how the PAM lug hole threads can survive the strap changes. I'm afraid of deformation of the threads... is it possible indeed?
  11. If you mean watcheden.com my answer is YES, they are trusted dealer. I only bought one watch from them...yet. An Omega SMP GMT, it is what I payed for it 108$ (-20$ with cupon code). This was my first rep, so I did't want to pay a lot for the first time. Communication is good, delivery is fast and safe.

    6497?

thx, I 'm too tired to search it.... Is a svan neck good for anything? I mean there are clone 6497s with svan's neck. If the gen has no one, what is it for in the clone?
  13. Hi! What do you think? gen or clone? Is the shock protection correct?
  14. Beautiful pics! I just found this topic, while I was browsing for Pam straps. I'd like to order a homage Pam from Getatwatch (www.siswatch727.com) or from Marina Militare (jacksontse). Whar are your experience their so called genuine leather strap (the watch comes with)? Is it wort, or is it better to buy with a rubber strap (from getatwatch), and later buy a real gen leather strap from another dealer? thx
  15. Hi! I am planning to order a nice 44mm Pam homage from Marina Militare (jacksontse.com), or from GetatWatch (www.siswatch727.com). Can someone show me a wristshot about a PAM with rubber strap? I have only seen submersible style watch with rubber strap. Do U have any experience withe leather strap from these dealers? I'am afraid of the so called genuine leather strap comes with the watch is actually genuine plastic. So a black rubber strap would be a better choose, and later a real leather from a third party dealer. thx
  16. IWC is beautiful! Can somoeone show a 44mm pam shot on a thin wrist?
  17. Hi! Pls everybody show his/her watch on his/her wrist! This is a wristcheck. This can help a lot choosing a rep, than seeing it on a holder, a table or on something. My wrist is thin, and I need to find photoes about wearing a 44mm Panerai. The other thing is, that if it is 09. June. 2009. pls don't show wrist shots with 07, or 21 etc dated watches. Thx, pics about my first and only (yet) rep, Omega SMP GMT are still to come...
  18. Hi! Yesterday I noticed a watch on a man's wrist in a park. As I moved closer I recognised a nice IWC Portuguiser Chrono ( I could read the IWS Schaffhausen sign on the dial, and saw the two subdials beneath each other) . In a steel case, with a bit darker than white dial, and light brown leather strap. It looked nice, but something was not perfect to me. The guy was a stranger, so I did not walked to him and asked, hey! is it rep or gen? At home I browsed the net after the IWC Portu chrone. It exists in 41mm case size, and I could find one with ligt brown croc strap, but dark brown. The watch on the wrist looked way bigger than 41mm (I have a 42mm Omega SPM GMT - I have thin wrist but it fits me), although the man has a bit thick wrist. So: did or do an IWC Portu chrono exist in a size bigger than 41mm? Does light brown croc strap exist in portu chrono line? My other concern is that in my town ther is no AD IWC dealer. (he could have bought it anywhere else in the world of course) Unfortunately I have no pics of what I saw. But here is the gen:
  19. If it is hard to deal with replica watches in your country, this would be your alternative. That guy is trusted dealer, ask members here in the forum. I haven't dealt with him yet, but i am planning.
  20. I am sorry to hear this awful story, I hope U will get out of trouble. But how the customs know that the owner is you? Do say No for everything they say, do not sign anything! The package was sent to a false address, accidentaly yours.... I will be here, waiting how the story ends! Stukov
  21. Hi! Now, you should have recieved the watches from watcheden. What is your impression?
  22. thx for answer! In the future, I try to buy reps with ETA clone movement. At som edealer's site they say ther is asian ETA 2836, and an other with Swiss ETA 2836 movement. On the other hand a lot of expert said, that we should't expect genuine swiss ETA movement in the rep world. So what is the truth? Asia ETA vs Swiss ETA. Or what? I think about a nice Venus rep /dealers call it Lemania/, for example a Moonwatch!
  23. Hi! I've got bad news. I discovered the rep world in february this year, I have read a lot the three forums, and I digged deeper and deeper in knowledge. In april I made my first purchase (a quartz Tag Link for my wife - still working fine),. After a while the second one: Seamaster Pro GMT - today in the morning I found it stopped, although yesterday I was wearing it whole day. I put down it 22:00, it stopped 00:15 am (less than 3 hours PR?) Nearly a month ago I purchased a nice Noobmariner from a third dealer. After a few days it started to loose time and lost power reseve. The spare movement is on its way from Hong-Kong. The common in the two crappy watch is that the movement in both is DG2813 (NN38 sign on the noobmariner's) So, am I just unlucky with theese, or should I have done better with the higher priced reps with at least clone ETA movement? Is the chinese movement (asia21j) a piece of sh*t? Somebody please talk to me, and give my faith back! What should be my next rep?
