Which vendor has the best GMTII ceramic
rolexconfuse replied to rolexconfuse's topic in The Rolex Area
gotcha, Okay I don't see the watch listed on Josh's site (perfet-clones.com) but i do see it on Andrew and King's site. Andrew is selling 3 versions of the same watch? 2 listings with swiss eta and 1 Asian, can anyone confirm if the 2 swiss are actually the same watch listed 2x or if they're actually different? -
Which vendor has the best GMTII ceramic

Call me stupid but I can't figure out which seller is "angus" can you point me in the right direction -
I've noticed that King, Joshua, and Andrew carry the GMTII with the ceramic dial from the posts. I know that the hand stacks are not exactly correct and i'm fine with that as long as the watch runs. My question is, are all the watch pretty much the same? Are they all be sourced from the same factory? If not which vendor has the one with the best looking CG's, crowns, band and etc? I know the reps can't be perfect I just want the one with the least cosmetic flaws.
-
lol well i need to take the movement to a watchmaker cause i think i killed that too. Seconds are not running anymore
-
Yeah, between eurotimez and wm9. The one that has the least detectable flaws.
-
lesson learned
-
i know there is no such thing as a perfect sub rep, so my question is which seller, eurotimez or wm9 has the sub with the least amount of noticeable flaws and the better bezel teeth? I know wm9 is a bit more expensive and it can take gen parts while eurotimez does not but is at least 100 dollars cheaper.

nope, my watch is dead the bezel got bent and i couldn't get it unbent i decided to go and take out the movement and just stick it into my CN case. Since this was my first time in modding I guess i pressed to hard on the movement when i was taking out the case holder and now the movement no longer works Soooooo I've just wasted 103 bucks on my noobmariner....
-
yeah pretty much lol
-
well i got my noobmariner bezel off without loosing a finger but the cn bezel is not fitting correctly onto the noobmariner. Is there a way to get it to fit? I still want it to rotate and click if it's possible.

Does the caseback and bezel look right?
rolexconfuse replied to rolexconfuse's topic in The Rolex Area
I meant the caseback, doesn't it look to big? Shouldn't the case back be a little flatter? And shouldn't there be more slope to the bezel? -
a few weeks ago I purchased a purchased a noobmariner from Andrew. Before i did the purchased I asked if the noobmariner was the same as the one reviewed by By-tor. Andrew replied and said it was. Well i got it and while it looks nice I find that the bezel and caseback does not look the same as the noobmariner that by-tor reviewed or the one being sold by eurotimez. I need to know if it's just me or if the watch is funny. The picture is just a side shot.

Yeah that's what i was looking at earlier. I used 220 grit for sanding and while slow it seems to be working. As for polishing, won't a cap cod cloth polish it up as well as a polishing wheel?
-
So you're telling me that i can find my info by upgrading my membership?
-
i did do a search and i found a guide by someone but it doesn't mention what grit of sandpaper was used. And i don't know what's the correct grit
-
I could have sworn that someone posted a guide about modding crown guards for the 16610/16800 and in the thread there was a blue print/ spec sheet of the sub listing the dimensions and etc. But for the life of me i can't find that thread anymore. And I'm looking to mod my crown guards. Does anyone know the thread or another thread that shows a clear picture of what the correct crown guards should look like? thanks

yeah i meant WD40, so all you do is just wipe it out after you spray it. -

After you sprayed it, did you rinse out the WD50? I can't imagine you wearing the bracelet with WD50 still clinging to the bracelet -

Have to do it tonight, got the package at work.. -
So I got my Noob sub from Andrew today, before ordering I inquired if it was the same sub as reviewed in this link by by-tor: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=13184 Andrew said it was and for $79 bucks it was heck of a deal. Some members in the forum commented that the movement was not the same as watch in the review but I was okay with this. As long as the case, bracelet and everything else on the watch was the same. So how's the watch? Well the finish on the bracelet awesome. I compared the finish to my gen date just and the finish is identical to my eyes. No play on the bracelet, completely tight. The rep bracelet is a bit sharp around the edges but that can be taken care of. The sides of the bracelet are not polished. I'm not sure if that's the way they're supposed to be on the gen. If someone could comment that would be great. Now the bezel (not insert) on the watch doesn't look like the bezel reviewed in the link or like the bezel of a gen. My bezel looks more like the Invicta coin-edge bezel. It's not sloped down, instead it's some bezel edges then a straight down. With all that out of the way, there are a few things i need to do. 1. The bracelet squeaks a bit and it's not entirely smooth. I've heard that you using car wax and WD50 oil will make it better. What order should i do it in? And how long do i soak or leave the stuff on for? What kind of car wax should i use? 2. the edges are a bit sharp, what i can use to smooth them out without destroying the finish? 3. How easy is it to pop out the entire bezel assembly if i wanted to replace it? Any guides on doing this? 4. By-tor had a guide for sanding down the crown guards using sandpaper, but there was no mention of what grit sandpaper he was using. What grit should be used?

Thanks for the responses, I'm waiting for my Noob from trusty. Got EMS so it should be here in about 10 days....this waiting is killing me. Why can't someone in the states carry these reps lol
-
so my 78 dollar noob may is not the same noob as the one reviewed? I just wanted to make sure that the dial, case and bracelet are the same. The movement i can always replace
