  1. OEM is great quality... and expensive. Aaron (HKTan) and others make great gator straps... Here's my wife's PAM 049 on pink gator:
  2. Yup... what he said^^^, and I'll be the second to apologize. If Gran's really physically sick I wish him well.. If he's guilt sick, it serves him right. I would put money on the latter.
  3. If that's the only solution, I'd be more content with the problem.... IE just sucks in my book
  4. FF 1.5.01 here, no problems but the occasional "IPB Image" that a refresh usually fixes.
  5. Just received this awesome GST from Sql_pl and I gotta say... Great Watch, chrono hand as smooth as honey and the titanium nice and dark. The quality is astounding I was worried that it would feel too small after wearing Panerai for the last year, but it has a nice feel. Thanks Maciej!
  6. Still waiting on date wheel and AR coating. Will be some time unfortunately, as things have been bumped around time-wise. Photos will DEFINTATELY follow!!!
  7. Stunning watch Fitch... simply stunning!
  8. Just thought I'd post this mini instructorial (I made up that word) on how to upload photos properly. Step 1. Start your message in RWG Step 2. Start a new browser window (usually CTRL+N) go to Imageshack Imageshack Link Step 3. Browse to the photo you want to upload, and click the 'Host it' button Step 4. A new window will appear, when the photo is finished uploading, the page will show multiple links, 'Direct link to image" will show full size images (as opposed to thumbnails) like I have uploaded here. Step 5. Copy the link provided. Step 6. Click the 'IMG' button above your message and a dialog box will appear. Step 7. Paste the link that you have copied from imageshack into the dialog, making sure it overwrites the 'http://' that is already in the dialog You can also go back to imageshack and upload new photos... Repeating the above process before sending your message will allow you to add multiple photos to the single message, as I have done here. AFTER you have pasted the links to all the photos you want to upload, you can hit the 'Post New Topic' button at the bottom of the message you are creating. On re-sizing those GIANT photos... You can use the FREE utility called Irfanview... It's easy to use: Link to Irfanview HAPPY UPLOADING
  9. Thought I'd start a unique project, taking a while, but will be sweet when it all comes together: The coating is Titanium Aluminium Nitride (TiAlN)... Here are the specs: Thickness: 1-3 microns Micro hardness: 2700 Vickers or approx 87 Rockwell Thermal Stability: Up to 800° C Friction Co-efficient: 0.4 TiAlN/Steel So, it's pretty tough stuff! I thought about white, yellow, Panerai blue, and a cream/bone color, but I've started with a light grey. So far, readability is a bit low, but it may work. Starting with model paint, a just lather up the whole bezel, when it dries, rubbing it with scotchbrite removes the paint on the bezel, leaving 'some' of the paint in the numbers, but not to my liking. My next try will be with a Laquer-stick as suggested by heitwl... thanks
  10. Not to butt in on your excellent explanation, I will add my instructions too: I also recommend a deployant, especially if you are going to change watches often, they reduce the wear and tear that you get with a buckle. I, although, have put all my deployants on thick (4mm) cordovan straps with a little patience and effort without modifying the strap at all... Just some persistant pressure: Here's my latest Horween shell cordovan in violet: Here's my wonderful PAM 091: And here's the hard part, adding the buckle half is a bit difficult because the leather is so thick (3.5-4mm). After inserting the buckle in the correctly adjustment position, you must insert the bottom pin in the buckle, and then apply constant pressure allowing the leather to compress until the top pin lines up with the hole. After it lines up, holding it in place, you can tap the extended pin until the other side seats into the hole: The groove for the tang on some straps not made for deployant may be too narrow for the short side of the clasp. This one fit fine, but you may have to widen the groove with an exacto knife (very carefully). This is especially difficult with stingray straps, as cutting stingray skin is almost as hard as cutting rocks!:
  11. Here are photos of my gen, hope it helps... This is as close as I could get with my crappy macro lens:
  12. Leave it to the Aussies to come up with a name like that... My wife would castrate me if she saw that on my credit card bill!!
  13. I like the Rainbow Flyback, but that's a beauty! Sorry for your loss.
  14. Haha... me too... It looks like they dredged up Sly Stallone from a river after gone missing for a week.

  19. Both very nice indeed... I say she needs a Patek Twenty-4
  20. In the beginning, I started with this: My first rep being a PAM 036 from Eddie: After the fever set in, mild delirium turned me to straps from the far corners of the world: Then, the fever subsided and turned back into reason... honing my collection to higher end reps with Swiss movements only, but the strap stupor never subsided: I chose the PAM 091 to be my first genuine Panerai, and the strap obsession continued: My gen Omega, sadly does not get too much wrist time, being oh so too small after wearing Panerais: Hope you've enjoyed viewing our little collection!!
  21. Whadya think about having an RSS Feed here? TRC has this and I find it very convenient
