  1. Wow! This post is 2 years old, and I never got the watch I just thought it really nice... But I'd surely change the strap... I think using elephant skin is worse than clubbing baby seals  I might just get one of these if still avalailable.
  2. So nice!!! :thumbsupsmileyanim:
  3. MBK 3rd floor.... Called Virat Watch... He has a beautiful APROO EOD in mint condition for around 48k USD!!! For gens... Siam Paragon, a plethora of beautiful watches for your shopping list
  4. Arararar TT!!
  5. Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?' The girl said, 'NO!' So... The guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and went fishing and hunting and played golf a lot and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted. The End
  6. I've had my U1000 and the PVD is very durable... no scrathches on mine whatsoever
  7. I have the U1000 PVD and it's a great rep!!! Bezel indices are spot on, runs like a champ keeping perfect time, and is waterproof... The PVD is very well done!!! The biggest obvious flaw for me (with the U2 as well) is the flat sapphire, where the gens are slightly domed. As mentioned before... the lume is [censored] They say on the websites it is 1:1 to the gen and will take gen parts, but I highly doubt that due to the sapphire as well as my bezel turning (albeit nicely) without pushing it down as on the gen (I think the U2 doesn't have the locking bezel though).
  8. Monkeys sure are funny animals:
  9. That one wasn't sourced... it was a labor of love over over a year
  10. It's debatable...
  11. My 091 had a purple pink green hue depending on the lighting... My 089 had a yellow green purple hue depending
  12. sorry guys...
  13. Here's a few of my EOD sex@12... I did some aging to the case and bezel to try to make the black a bit lighter and scuff up the corners... next will be AR and maybe lume... if The Zigmeister would get back to me LOL (hint hint)
  14. WOW!!! That's a beauty!!! Guaranteed you can't stop staring at it for a long time ;-) :thumbsupsmileyanim:
  15. LOL use your imagination... you're probably right
  16. Those would be my issues as well... I'm a mechanical engineer and just finished a large project where it was specified that NONE of the material used (this was structural steel) would be sourced from China... Reason being was that the steel certifications received for other projects were not consistent with what was supplied and the steel often peeled... Not good at all for a structural project for sure Bottom line is that you just can't trust most things coming out of there... Sometimes it's goo/right... sometimes bad/wrong... But one thing you can be sure of... it will be consistently unconsistent for now, until they understand the concept of getting it right the first time
  17. Wow!!! There's some big big money on some of those russian poli's wrists!!! You wouldn't see them flaunting that stuff around down here!!!
  18. Wow!s... the pics surely look domed on the U2 :| I had the gen U1, and the crystal was dead flat... I would have thought they were the same, but apparently not I just got a U1000 from Joshua and the crystal is also perfectly flat... but when i look at these pics of the gen, the crystal is surely domed ... 1:1??? I don't think so:
  19. Here's some gen shots I found:
  20. Well, I've worn this for a few days now, and it's keeping great time, the clasp has held tight after a little spray of WD40 and opening and closing it for a while... The PVD is top notch, although I am having a tad of regret as I think this would be a bit nicer in plain steel... If anyone wants one of these in PVD, I would be happy to trade for a natural steel model.
  21. Unfortunately... it's geared for 30... but, I'm OK with it... I saved myself about $4500 for now until I I'm in a position to buy the gen
  22. Well... I had another delivery today... a beautiful remake of the Sinn U1000 ultimate tool/instrument/weapon/chunk of PVD goodness... Excellent quality watch for sure, and at least shower proof at this point. The strap was surely made for any size wrist... I had to cut a total of 12 sections off the strap for it to fit my puny 6 3/4" wrist... Overall quality is very good, although the clasp needs to 'work in' before it snaps tight on the mushroom... The divers extension is a bit loose, I will probably try to bend the tang to make it snap in better. That being said, my gen Bond Seamaster's clasp also needed time for the spring buttons to snap in securely as well... The bezel turns without me pushing it down... not sure if the gen needs push to turn or not, but for some reason, I thought maybe it did. The only real gripe I have is about the lume, but really it's par for the course... But still... the lume is poor - I really think they should have done the Sinns a bit of justice and given it some luminescence... Also, the date font is wrong... as well as the HE valve... but those are pretty minor issues, and not worth fixing, IMO. Otherwise... the watch is great... just what I expected and even a bit more actually... It's not a daily wear, I think, but goes good when bumming around in jeans and t-shirt... maybe climbing a mountain or cliff LOL... and especially good for a long drive i think Anyway... here are some quick picks... I now have it on an olive green PVD Rhino... Notice they also put the SUG (case manufacturer) logo between the lugs I think I want a Sinn leather strap too... that would go awesome with this for sure!! Enjoy:
