  1. http://tvteddy.blogspot.com/2007/10/tv-lin...placements.html for all tv shows and movies
  2. link leads to pam strap...
  3. http://watchpart.co.uk/valjoux-m-37.html check it, good guys to deal with, available on skype if you have questions
  4. wow , great shots subzero1 AR really adds to the dial of the smp
  5. the smp chrono is looking good, cant wait to see it on person my upo is getting the same treatment for sure when it gets back from The Zigmeister cheers k2222
  6. when you say qc issues, what exactly do you mean? faulty movements, or shoddy worksmanship on the dial leading to inaccuracies, or poor build quality of the bracelet and pushers etc? what issues do the CN models that are available for purchase now have? many thanks if you can shed some light on that i was thinking of going for this watch next, but am i right in saying that with: correct eta day/datewheels ar coating servicing luming this watch is 99.9 close to the gen, or am i missing something?
  7. sounds good, you're doing the mods yourself? brave man subs were never really my thing, but when you have the mbw finished it will surpass the wm9 or each will have their merits and demerits?
  8. so thats it then, this is the perfect sub, its high price negated by the fact that, to bring an mbw to this level of modding would cost the same amount or more? or...?
  9. you might need to take a break for a while buddy, but on a slightly less enthusiastic note, looking forward to seeing the finished product too
  10. couldnt agree more, great advice its a beast with the steel bracelet, but those with skinny wrists could try the UPO with the rubber strap if they need to have the watch, it looks less out of place
  11. iwc ingenieur eta, with lello datewheel, and k2222 ar, very nice piece in my opinion, putting together the funds for one myself at the moment
  12. for that kind of money, keep an eye on the watches for sale section here , sometimes some pieces go for very reasonable prices and they have the added bonus of been tried and tested by the previous owner, so no qc issues
  13. +1 PM sent
  14. thanks to you both , those sites look good, guess its just a matter of waiting for the right one to pop up within my budget
  15. I'm in the market to buy a used gen, my budget is about $1000, with this i hope i could pick up a seamaster professional, but i dont know where to look in europe for used watches, can any member here recommend some sites for me to look at? thanks in advance for any help steppen
  16. I think The Zigmeister is the only man for the job at the moment, finepics and palpatine are AWOL. i seem to remember that there is a guy in the eu who is doind reluming and waterproofing, but i have to look up his name, i think repaustria takes on some select work, but could be wrong. good luck with the list, would be very useful
  17. thanks for the update
  18. Fantastic
  19. I'd be in for one with orange numerals, pvd coating with good colouration, if it would be possible to get the crystal AR coated, great...but if not you can definitely count me in for a watch with the above description PM if you need references, regards steppen
  20. I'd be in for one also, good to see this going ahead
  21. you seem to miss my point so i'll go slow for you, the OP asked about the flaws of this piece, one of these flaws is the colour of the sub-dial pinnion. on the rep they are rust-COLOURED, not rusted like you mis-interpreted. on the gen these sub-dial pinnions are silver. I'll tell you what go to an AD, hold the real thing in your hands, then get back to me, deal? ok good
  22. Read my post again, I didnt say the hands i said the pinnion of the sub-dial hands Look Below: on the rep - they are rust coloured, on the gen - silver
  23. Yes and more than some of them are telling new members (quote) 'It's time' (/quote) to upgrade, It's all how you look at it, this is the way it appears to me, as I've said before, I dont believe that there is anything sinister behind it, just a case of misplaced enthusiasm.
  24. To be honest I dont really get what you're trying to say there Pix, its nice that you would avoid posting your disagreement with a fellow member, but when i disagree with someone's methods I speak up, if you like to avoid problems thats your prerogative not mine, I dont see how the thread will remain gentle when the initial post was 'heckilng for money' as TeeJay aptly put it. As I have already said this is not the first time, indeed a cursory search brings the following results: Example 1 Example 2 Example 3 Example 4
