I don't mean to offend anyone ... i actually never said or have the attitude that "i don't wear anything under 44 mm", what i am asking is does anyone have a comparison .. and visually it is like looking at a golf club ... if you can't get used to the "look" then it will not be pleasuable to use.. SO if you are proclaiming that i am not a watch enthusiast and that i should not be on this forum then that is your opinion ... i was requesting a comparison not your personal opinion of my thoughts that you are assuming i am thinking ....did i state anywhere that i "do not wear anything other than" 44mm? this is what i am thinking .. so you can get it straight in your "so called mind" .... a collection of the same design and style in different mm sizes may be interesting, for me personally and not for your approval or otherwise.. some watches that i own hardly get worn .. i just like to take them out and enjoy viewing them ... i also collect vintage cigars and pipes .. some pipes are 10 to 15 years old and i have never smoked them their carvers are great artist and masters in the art.. (carved meerschaums), some cigars are in tubes that have been discontinued in the 70's .. i don't show them to anyone .. they are kept in a climate controled room and in a humidor .. you can find them in the encyclopedia of post revolutionary habana cigars .. but i do not post pictures on any forums .. they are for my "personal enjoyment" friends ask me why i don't just smoke it .. and my reply is that they are a part of history, and i enjoy viewing them form time to time, like watches are ... i have a watch from the 1930's that still works well (very small) .. i like to take it out from time to time just to view it while i lite a good stick. I don't show it at all ... i have had champion show dogs sired by Grand Champions , but never showed them because the trophies were not what i was after...... my point is before you make assumptions you should take into consideration that hobbies or interest vary and some people take a very humble approach to their hobbies , and do it for pure personal satisfaction .. like owning art that only the owner views .. hobbies at times i compare to religious beliefs .. very personal ... so be very careful who you call out .. it could turn out very embaracing for you. does anyone have a 40 mm they can put beside a 44 mm (pic), i would like to see the visual .... thinking of getting a 40 mm but anything other than a 44 seems small to me now.. thanks Lanikai

i get the feeling, that ziggy made a really good point is, a watchsmith is like a mechanic of your car .. is he really doing what he say's he is and can u trust him or is he like taking your car to a dealership and getting raped with the fee and lack of true work???

i was going to wait until i recieved the much anticipated date wheel and cyclops .... because anticipation is 90% of the action ... but so much for that thought .. What Ebert and Roper are to movies ... sssufer and chieftang are to watches (just a thought i am sure everyone is more of an expert compared to me), so with that said ... any thoughts on Davidsens superlume dial for the 063 and 028 GMT's ? Since i would have to have them superlumed anyway? or not? negatives and positives please ... or any reviews on movies this week? ... go ahead discuss amongst yourselves ... thanks

hey guy's on last question will the DW's from lello fit on the 2836-2 also or are they just compatiblw with the 2893's

since they don't wear much of anything else... i must have been "watching" pun intended .. the same one one was a power reserve don't know which one exactly and the other was a 127 with alligator strap .. power reserve was a ss braclet ...LOL

u are right about sssurfer ... anchoring the RWG ... i will get with u for the cyclops soon chieftang ... i was busy playing with my "upgraded" 199 that wouldn't run out of the box ... but the dealer is a great guy and alway's makes good on his product ..so i am not that stressed .. on a scale from 1 to 10 maybe a 6... thanks again guy's i will be in touch... want to get the parts before the watch ... make any sense???????????

Thanks again sssufer ... u saved me a lot of time ... and money .. yes i am going for the GMT's but i want to secure the mag and the date wheel first.. Lello said he has some so as soon as he is up to it i am sure he will get back to me.... recieved my 199 today ... the date wheel is better but still not as thick as gen ... solution is to get genuine ... yeh right ... takes the fun out of the hunt .... the watch kept stopping though at the 5 marker on the ss .. took off the back and thought the mainspring was no good .. after messing with it for half the day it started running ok ... i will have to wait and see though .. i have a spare movement that will replace the one in their if it acts up again... had to change the cg... tooo tight .. could that interfere with the mechanics? .. everytime i pushed in the cg the ss stopped at the 5 marker.. anyway life far from perfect ... the mag is OK and that's all, just OK, and like i said the date wheel is still lacking some steroids in the font .. but it's better than anything else out of the box i guess

thanks sssufer, he mailed me at 7:40 am Hawaii time yesterday saying yes he had date wheel .. so of course yesterday i did not check my mail again until after i went to the gym .. and then i could not return his mail .. i tried again today and do not know if it went through or not ... i will keep trying .. i am excited about the fact that their may be some hope in the date wheels ....... thanks again

the PAM 028 w/ETA 2892-2 thank you chieftang for the reply on the cyclops .. and the lead on the date wheel although i have no response as of yet ... ssurfer if you are reading this and with your wealth of information on the PAM's ... any obvious flaws not counting the mag and date wheel? sounds backwards but unless i can get a decent wheel w/font for this i would rather not spend the money ... because without the DW it is ... even with the ETA movement tooo obvious ... it is a good looking pc. though ... but like i said without the wheel ... noo sense spending that kind of cash ... thoughts on this?????
