  1. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe I've seen pics of the gen chrono and the omega logo does have happy feet. I think the logo on the chrono rep is accurate. Can anyone confirm? Thanks
  2. These stories are amusing...I got called out last week on my replica rolex...it was in a posh area of southern california where a lot of money is around...in a bar having a beer with some friends when the guy next to me says loudly, "that's one fake ass piece of shi-." (Its actually a great replica) Some of his buddies were snickering and when I turned to face the guy, it's an older (early 50's) guy with dyed hair, a face lift, hair plugs, highlights in his hair, and a fake tan. He was a bit drunk and I asked him to repeat himself. He said it again and then gave me some shi- about fakes (loud enough for plenty o people to hear). I told him that I bought the watch because it replicates an exquisite watch and retains the beauty...and not many people can tell the difference between my replica and the real thing. I asked him which was worse...a fake watch...or a fake ass tan, fake ass hair plugs, a fake ass dye job, and a fake ass face lift. I then told him that while my watch was a fake it looked very close to the real thing...and that he was attempting to fake youth and was fooling no one ( I was pretty drunk). He stopped grinning like an idiot, his friends stopped laughing, other people around were in a state of shock, and my friends started snickering behind me. I said, "just kidding," and turned around and ignored him and continued to drink my beer and laugh with the boys as if nothing had really happened. His group was pretty quiet for a couple of minutes before they got up and moved to another part of the bar. My reaction may have been a bit overboard, but hot damn...it still feels great. Nice warm feeling in my belly!
  3. How about water? He washed some crap out of the barrel.
  4. Hey fellas...about 1 month ago I made the decision to purchase a replica watch. I looked online at a variety of watch sites, came across offers on a variety of auction sites (ioffer), and then stumbled upon this forum about 3 weeks ago. I looked, I read, I listened, and I finally chose a great watch (Black Ultimate Sub) from Precious Time (good experience). I love my watch and I can tell I'm hooked (now I understand why some of the posts on this forum sound like crack addicts salivating over their goods and vehemently protecting their dealers/sources of smack). So, I'm looking for my second watch (already have it picked out, as well as my third, fourth, and fifth) and I've got my first in hand. The question I have is - I live in the states, specifically, Southern California. Should I be cautious trying to get my watch serviced at a brick and mortar watch repair shop? I want to get my sub water-proofed and I know a shop down the street does it for $10 but I'm wary of bringing my replica into the shop. Can anyone tell me about any potential dangers of doing so? I know there are some individuals on the forum who can provide these services, but I'd rather drive it down the street than send my watch off in the mail after I so eagerly awaited its arrival. Thanks for your feedback!
  5. Well...actually...your argument is a completely subjective one in and of itself...from your frame of reference the "watch test" is an objective one...from my frame of reference, and many other less concerned citizens of the world...this particular watch test is merely a subjective one (and it would probably fail that one as well). Your subjectivity confounds the desired objectivity of your watch test...even should this obvious obfuscation be allowed to pass, the "perfect rep" would be a mutually exclusive phrase for self-evident reasons. So it would be PREPOSTEROUS for any reasonably intelligent individual to really dwell upon this glaring conundrum. Friends, let this pass. Should one ruminate too long upon such trivialities, one is bound to... Talk about beating a dead donkey with a broken stick!
  6. Can't believe that people are getting their panties in a bunch over a vendor using a bit of "poetic license" to advertise his/her wares. Since when is advertising 100% accurate? Did anyone here experience an uncontrollable and instantaneous urge to automatically hit the buy button as soon as he/she saw the word perfect? Who doesn't practice a bit of due diligence when making a purchase of this nature? As in all cases, BUYER BEWARE, if you buy a replica expecting a perfect replica because it says "perfect" in the description, and then you're disappointed to find that it isn't 100% accurate, then guess what, you're an IDIOT. Newbs (me included) and buyers do not have to be protected by the truth in advertising police. Expect advertising to use a bit of "spin" to attract buyers. Do your homework, share opinions, and ask around. Believe it or not, I read the description of the "perfect" sub and did not believe that it was a 100% accurate. I'll wait until those more experienced than I share their opinions, i'll read the reviews of buyers, and then form my own opinion. Good luck to all and give the silver-tongued vendors a bit of slack to gloss their goods.
  7. not sure whether its a mbw, a "perfect", or an ultimate folex...dammit...they're so hard to tell apart from just pic's
  8. Thats awesome...where can I can get one and for how much?! Thanks!
  9. where did you buy this sub that's guaranteed to 30 m?
  10. Is that a really big watch or a really small car?
  11. How does the AR coating look on TTK's new 45mm PO? Is it noticeable? That's supposed to be one of the many differences between this version and other 45's.
  12. So..what's the RWG cash for and why did a bunch of it disappear when I placed it in my bank account?
  13. Do the new genuine rolex subs have a crown etched on the glass at the six o'clock position (a la Trusty's sub)? Does anyone have any pics of this? I put this in the newb section cuz: 1) I'm a newbie, and 2) as far as I know this question may have already been asked 10,000 times even though I haven't seen it regardless of some searches and looking around. Thanks
  14. Question for all: Been looking at the Omega 4th generation PO offered by Aspire Paul and Trustywatch guy...at face value...they look like exactly the same watch-but, Trusty's is offered at $248 and Paul's is offered at $159. Does anyone if there are any differences between the two watches? Inherently, I believe that you get what you pay for-can anyone tell me why one watch would be worth $90 more than the other? Thanks for your input in advance.
  15. beautiful watch...what does one have to do to get one of those? Thanks, Aaron
