Freddy333, I appreciate the insights. The movement I was interested in purchasing is an old Tudor Caliber 1156. But, I am going to stick with the 2836.2 for my franken tudor build.

Which would work better. Gen Tudor Eta 2452 or Gen Eta 2836 to fit a Yuki 5512/5513 watch case, and will there be a problem with using a yuki dial? Any insights will be greatly appreciated. twon1212

I am building a franken tudor, and would like input from the resident experts if a gen caliber 1156 that is 27.3mm in diameter would fit into an MBK/MBW or Yuki 5513 watch case. tony

Stilty, I appreciate your feedback. It confirms my decision to go with a sellita movement for my fraken tudor project. And specially, it's a gen swiss movement to the exact same measurements as eta for less the price for a eta 2824-2. From the additional research I've read Sellita is going to fill the void of eta is creating, as well as, expand its movement portfolio and go after more mid and luxury tier brands. It's going to get interesting since Sellita used do some work for eta. Longtime member, first posting on a topic. I am building a franken tudor, and have been searching for a gen tudor movement. I've been visiting various rolex forums, and recently read that Rolex has been purchasing/stocking up on various Sellita models to fill future Tudor product lines. I am wondering if anyone else has read/researched this topic? Or, have used one of the company movements in a watch? I am strongly considering purchasing the SW200 (Same as ETA 2824-2)for my project. Any feedback would be helpful. tony

I just read the review in Insync watch magazine, and the lume on this watch should be blue. The article goes over the full specs, and what makes this model different from prior submariners. tony

Since I am not the rep collection, and new member on this forum and repgeeks.com, I find this all comments and statments helpful and useful. Having both positive and negative perspectives will help me decide on what to purchase and whom to purchase from this week. I purchased my first rep, DSN MM20 PVD. It is one of my favoriate watches, and I will be another from him. However, it took me about month of conducting solid research on the charcter and quality of Davidsen. I read several post, across many different boards before deciding to go with instead of another highly regarded member for a few reasons. There was a great deal of information on the watch builder, quality of his products, and variety of products. He was the best buy in terms of quality for the price. If I remember correctly, Davidson had similar issues posted on few other forums. However, the member wasn't attacked or bullied. Nor were stating that ' if he say it's true then it is'. As a consumer making in investment in product and relationship, one would like to have all the facts, good and bad, before parting with his/her cash. For me, I trust DSN. He has been very helpful before, during, and after the sale. I am not as knowldgable here as some, so I am the type of person that will read post and ask questions. For example, I pre-order a watch from BK on repgeeks.com. Because of the reasons I listed about Davidsen, and more. For me, I am more comfortable in purchasing from somone I can communicate with throughout the pre and post purchase sale. Because of this, it's a challenge for me to go with a drop shipper since you have a good chance of not getting what you paid for. So, I am enjoying this post, and feel that the original poster has every right to ask and validate his questions and share his feelings...good or bad. It's also free speech, and it shouldn't be regulated.

I am looking into getting my wife a nice watch for mothers day, and can't find a wide variety of models. She wants a Louis Vutton, but I'd rather a rolex, but not sure which dealer to purchase from and which model. Can someone provide some assistnce? twon1212

I am new, but purchased my first MM20 from Davidsen a few weeks ago. Next on my list is the lovely watch you have posted. I going to purchase a base model and turn into something similar to yours. But I have no idea wherer to start. But looking at yours gives me the motivation to just take the plung and ask questions. Hopefully, mine will be as good as yours. tony

Although I don't personally know Vaccum, I've read nothing but good things about the guy and his work. In fact, he comes highly recommened on this forum as well as Repgeeks.com. I have been planning to ask him if he does work on VC, Omega, or Bretling. As per DSN, it took me several months to get in contact with him. But it was my fault because I had an old email address that I found on a different forum. Once I got in contact with him, the transaction was easy and smooth. He answered within a reasonable time frame, and I am very happy customer. I will post pictures of my watch soon. tony heard
