  1. I thought it would be fun to get a nice diverse idea of the musical tastes of the community. So....what are you all listening to currently? I have iTunes on shuffle at the moment, and currently I am listening to "Bedshaped" by Keane
  2. Superb review! Thanks for doing this. I really enjoyed reading it!
  3. Two very stunning gens to start the week off! Nice Fish & Explorer guys!
  4. Wow! That's a lot of Ti cases! Forgive my noobiness with regards to the Ti cases, but what are the differences I should be looking for?
  5. Looks like RG is down at the moment. I'll check in a while. Thanks for the tip!
  6. Since I don't have a pin vise (yet), I went for the heat gun option. Worked like a champ!
  7. That's unfortunate! So other than gen, there's no other options for historic model case backs?
  8. Thanks Kruzer. The historic is my first and only PAM, but it's definitely true love
  9. Thanks R! What was the history of this one again? I can't remember all the folks who have owned this watch! @Tanya - saw your 219 earlier. Looks awesome!
  10. I saw a couple of pics on RG for the new dials, but not enough to decide it they are much better. The 6 looks better for a sandwich dial, which is a nice improvement. If they look good enough, I will wait for the new dials before I upgrade the dial. Definitely a happy camper!!!
  11. Why not go by yourself. You get to see what YOU want, and it's not as though you can have a nice conversation during the movie. Even when i go with my fiancee, once the movie starts, we are both quite involved in our own experience of the movie. That being said, it's nice to talk about it afterwards. I don't think it's that creepy at all. I think me and my future Mrs. Red will go catch a flick tonight too.
  12. I actually don't know much about Torobravo and the crown came from Oncyte. Not sure where he sourced it from. I think TB is on Repgeek, but I could be wrong. Thanks for the comments guys!
  13. Here's a couple of pics of the stain:
  14. After the "Show us your favorite PAM" thread, I was informed by a valued member that there were some simple and significant mods that could be done to my PAM 112h. Primarily changing the crown to a thicker one, and also adding a different CG. After searching around for a bit, I found Oncyte had a crown for sale as well as a Torobravo CG. I posted pics of the CG and got some good tips on how to modify it. Basically for the CG, I filed down the inside of the arm so that it couldn't be seen on the inside. Also, flattened the pin as well as polished it up. While the CG lever was removed, I re-brushed it and the CG. Let me know what you think? Here's what it looked like before: Here it is with the TB CG and new crown:
  15. I wear glasses, so I have a headband magnifier that I got from Birdman's Tools here on the forum. It's great! I also have a Bausch & Lomb 10x Loupe which has a pen style shaft attached to it. It is battery powered and has a light ring around the loupe. That combined with the headband magnifier really does the trick.
  16. Thanks Val! I am actually an engineer and work for a post production company. I just picked the wood, and had a friend cut and assemble it for me (he has better power tools than me!). I just finished the staining and have to wait 24 hours before I can apply the clear coat. The three screens are for my work. The one on the left is for corporate stuff (email, word documents, scheduling, etc...). The middle one I switch between the corp computer as a second screen and my Macbook (which is docked) - that's my main RWG screen! The smaller screen on the right is for the production networking computer. I monitor server activity, back-ups, etc.... It's not allowed on the internet - just used for internal work only! We do a lot of shows for HBO, and their security policies are quite strict!
  17. Check with Gavidoc. He had some parts for sale a while back (not sure if they have been sold yet) Good luck. It's a fun project, but can be frustrating at times
  18. Nicely vintaged and stunning dial work! Thanks for sharing!
  19. Wow Jojo! That is a stunning find! It looks to be in superb condition! Very nice!
  20. I should get the wrist rests sometime next week (hopefully). Once I mod the mounting arm and get them attached I will definitely be posting pics. As it stands, with the angled fronts, it is extremely comfortable to work with I couldn't be happier. The outcome far exceeded my expectations!
  21. Wow! That's beautiful! It turned out really well! You must be elated!
