I'm still looking for the plexi crystal and the winder rotor .... siiiiigh
luckily it's a front loading washing machine .. no big agitator to crush everything.
The plexi crystal popped out, and the movement exited the front of the watch with the dial. The stem was still in the case body, and re-attaches to the movement securely .. no idea if it's a write-off yet.
- show everyone you know a picture of the watch, over and over again
- check your email for shipping/processing updates every 15 minutes (for 2 weeks)
- hop around like you have to pee really bad
- read about all the mods possible by expert forum members for a watch you don't own yet
- F5! F5! F5!
- sweat nervously
Welcome back, Chris: I'm anxiously awaiting my DSSD v5 w/ real ETA from you <3 !!
Only my 2nd purchase ever, and the first one, from another dealer, was a bad experience (before i came to RWG I bought from ExactReplicas .. my Bell&Ross showed up with a quartz movement instead of an autowinder siiigh)
But you live and you learn!
I started to disassemble this very nice rep, and realized I had no clue how to disengage the movement from the crown since the entire watch comes out of the FRONT of the solid case. I can tip the face and movement up slightly and SEE the battery vaguely .. but it's a stout, fat battery and it'll eventually have to come out. How do you disengage the crown and stem from a B&R??
thanks!
Speaking of Me and AMEX .. I received a phone call from a merchant in Texas a couple of years ago .. someone was trying to charge an entire solar panel array for their home on my AMEX ... LOL ... wasn't funny at the time
I just posted this to a different thread, but here it is again: PayPal has a web tool which generates a single use only Mastercard CC number for you to use. To a merchant, it's a Mastercard number, but if it's stolen or abused .. it won't work since it was only valid for the single use of your legitimate purchase.
It's called the PayPal browser plug-in
PayPal has a web browser tool which generates a one-time-only use Mastercard CC number. It's still PayPal, but it looks like a Mastercard to the merchant. SO .. untrusted merchants don't get to see your actual CC numbers, or bank acct numbers, and if the number is "stolen" after your purchase, it can not be re-used for foul purposes ... it's a single-use-only number!
Tah Dah. It's called the PayPal Browser Plug-In
I do indeed have a Fastenal very near-by to me! Their web site is terrible tho, with each page taking almost 10 minutes to load!! I'll keep trying.
Thanks Again
One allen screw from each rubber strap has backed out on it's own and been lost .. can anyone point me to a place I can buy replacements? Hopefully before the bands fall off
BTW otherwise, this watch is BEAUTIFUL .. it has real screws on the back of the case, not fake stamped images of screws .. but the date wheel is black numbers on white bg so I know thats not right .. but I love it anyway! Gorgeous.
thanks in advance.
