Can anyone recommend just the basics I should get for at-home watch sizing and strap changes. Hopefully things that birdman carries, but I won't be upset if I have to drive to Home Depot or Lowe's to get them. I don't need anything fancy like pneumatic presses.
The jeweler here in town, while he does have good service, is terribly slow. Last time I replaced a band it took almost 2 days (he's the only one that does it, the two women that work there can't even replace a watch battery) and when I had my watch sized it took an hour.

If it wasn't for watches, she would have left for another reason.

Thanks everyone.
Now the GF has be looking into handbags. LOL. Nice to see branching out didn't take long at all.

Ever since I was a kid I've always had a thing for watches, but I haven't worn one for about the past decade (I blame my cell phone).
Last week I decided I was going to start collecting and wearing watches. Bought myself a nice Citizen Calibre 9000, but I want to add some replicas to my collection (mostly Rolex and Omega, but I'm sure I'll get addicted and branch out to other brands).

That's fine, that's about how long it takes to get a band changed around here. LOL
