  1. I bought them as Gen, but I see what you mean. I looked back at Ronins and at the Reference Material in the "Submariner Story". I think you're right. The hour hand on mine is definitely short....hmmm...
  2. What's wrong with the hands, just cause they're not Tritium?
  3. Thanks! And thanks for the help along the way!
  4. I am pretty sure it was JMB who wrote about it, but since I don't have a mill, I'll be sticking with the grinder method...
  5. I think that one should work perfectly Nanuq, that is, based on your other aging processes. Personally, I'll stick with hand tools:
  6. Thanks Freddy! Printing them out as references now!
  7. Yeah - but since one of my crown guards is already modified, I am just going to match the other one to it, I may be slightly limited to what I can and can't do. Mainly I am just trying to increase the space between crown and the lower CG.
  8. That makes it sound easy. I'll start working on it and post some pics when done...
  9. Thanks man! That is exactly what I wanted to hear...
  10. I need to modify one of the crown guards on my recent 1680 Franken. My question is, what do you guys use to maintain the inside curvature of the crown guard. It'd be easy to make them flat, but how to create the curve on the inside, that's another story. Any help is greatly appreciated!
  11. Thanks! I don't think I've seen your 1680, any links to your pics? Thanks, I like them too! It's all about the lighting - I have no skill - I just put it on the tripod and adjust the Aperture and Shutter - The color of the paper and the Orangeness of the setting sun made for some cool contrast... Thanks - I couldn't figure out a way to include the speedy - so it got left out, sorry I've got some tools coming in to change the tube, and while I have it off, I will be trimming the lower CG to balance it out some... You wear the new one until you miss the old one, and then swap back and forth at your your leisure - easy!
  12. I didn't but I think somebody who owned the case before me may have. The lower cg is way thicker and closer to the crown. I am going to take some material of of the inside of the lower to try and recenter the crown. Is that what you were referring to?
  13. Ok, so they are not both technically subs, but you get the point. I've needed to get out my DSLR to take some pics of my 1680, so I threw together this quick photo shoot....
  14. Nice pick up. I need a 78360 for my dads gmt. Where'd you find it?
  15. RWG is experiencing a lot of incontinence lately
  16. It's the little magnifying glass in the top right corner...
  17. Is it just me, or are you wearing it upside down?
  18. It came together really quick! I guess I decided to build it at the right time - lot's of the parts were available at good prices! Thanks! No too expensive!
  19. Thanks! Yeah, there are quite a lot around here lately! I blame Ubi Thanks Red! Will do! Just like Gen, snaps right in. My only complaint on the Yuki bezel is that it is kind of smooth. I guess, technically, not unlike my dad's late 60's 1675. I agree, not quite as flashy as a red...not that there's anything wrong with a red... You and ZK need diapers Somewhere between 30-40% in my estimation...depends on the gen though...i've seen them go from around $4000-$8000 Thanks buddy!
  20. Thanks for the suggestion. I've seen those around. I'll pick up one next time I make a purchase.
  21. I ran out of good light so I was only able to snap a few, but here you go:
  22. I can top all of that - I cleaned my garage yesterday! HA! Woot Woot Woot - the extra woot is for awesome
