  1. Thanks Woof! It really does feel nice! Totally surprised by the amount of difference!
  2. OK, here you go: btw, did I mention how smooth this thing is, no sharp edges - strange
  3. Well I just blew my budget on my 1680 build by adding a Gen. 93150 bracelet. I don't have time for pics at the moment, but if anybody is on the fence about getting one...do it! What a difference in feel. Silky smooth comfort all the way! I really can't describe what a difference it makes!
  4. Nope...this is a Gen 1570 from a Donor Rolex 1500 Perpetual Date! The 3rd, 6th, 9th, 13th, 19th, 23rd, 29th, 30th, 31st...all my favorites
  5. I just got a set of Gen Service Lumi hands on my Franken 1680 and trimmed the lower crown guard a little bit to match the upper and thought I'd take a few quick pics to share. Used my MacBook Air as a background as sort of a tribute to the passing of Steve Jobs.
  6. Franken 1680 (w/ a new set of Gen. Lumi Hands)
  7. Agreed - Technology is about the evolution of products. Who cares who invented the Integrated Circuit, I care about who developed it into a product that provides me a benefit. I had an HTC smartphone before the iPhone came out and it was neat and provided me a one stop source for phone/pda/music/gps, but it was slow, clunky and no-where-near intuitively designed, then came the iPhone. True it wasn't first, but it definitely was best, and I feel that Apple has done that in many different categories (Desktops/Laptops/TabletPC's) Steve Jobs will be greatly missed, and I hope there are others in the wings who will step in to fill the huge vacancy/vacuum left by Steve's death.
  8. Double check the bar on the left - you can change the preferences, make sure it shows what you'd like to see...
  9. OOoooh...New hands - this time I know they're gen
  10. Hey Cats! Prayers are with you and your fam! Best of luck with a: recovery... (Get it - Speedy)
  11. Nice Ronin - Hope you had fun in the EU... SM300 Today...
  12. I have gen speedmaster that has the papers that came with it, but they are for a different watch. A clumsy sales person created an error that nobody noticed until it was too late to fix. ... So it can happen
  13. I thought 1680 and 1665 inserts were the same. Freddy are you saying that a 1665 would cover more ofthe side of the crystal?
  14. Nice Tudor Nanuq! Have you ran it over with the Rover yet?
  15. What I've learned to do is take the suspect dial into photoshop, increase the transparency and overlay with known gen dials. The look for any parts that don't line up. With my 1680 I was able to find that a Mark 1 white dial matched up with some scans from the Submariner Story and several on VRF. just my 2 cents. You can really do this with any part, as I am starting to learn.
  16. That is the Hour Hand Lume....not the hand itself...I am looking for another set now...darn! Now I have to go spend more money Sucks to the pursuit of perfection!
