Yeah, the UPO is a quality piece which should last as long as any other watch provided it is serviced at the recommended intervals.

Congrats to both of you and good luck for the future.

Motorsports are dangerous, it's part of their appeal.
I wish him well, but I hope they don't neuter the sport even further because of it.

Hope he makes a speedy recovery.

Good job!
You get a lot of satisfaction from doing the mods yourself.

any one Know if i can swap the Double Ar crystal on my 45 mm PO Chrono With My UPO's single AR crystal
Should be a straight swap.
-
Thanks guys. That puts my mind at ease. I was thinking I did it wrong as the gen crystal went in alot easier than I thought it would.
On a side note the gen crystal does wonders for the watch. It is night and day I can't stop looking at it. I know chief's AR makes the crystal dissapear but I love the indago hue the gen crystal throws onto the dial. It really makes the dial pop.

Ubi's right, see if you can get Vac to take a pic as many of the UPO's already have good datewheels...Mine came from Andrew with a good datewheel so the mod was not required.

Jim- The bezel is the icing on the cake. If you've got everything else done, the bezel will finish it off.
ironmarshal- Hit up the usual 3 supply houses if you're in the U.S. If you're in the U.K. give cousins a try.
Cheers,
R
Who's the 3 US supply houses?

Hello all, I've done quite a bit of searching both here and on the web but I can't find any useful info so I thought I'd throw it over to some of the experts on the forum!
I would like to remove the date function from a movement as it will be used in a no-date watch. Is there any way of making it so that it only has one "click" when the crown/stem is pulled out?(rather than 1st click for date, 2nd for time setting)
I am going to be using a 4813 as I want the 28800 bph, so alternatively is there a movement that offers the smooth sweep with auto and no date?!
TIA
Really not worth the hassle.

Think it was only for the UK market....Search for Rotary Chronospeed on ebay.co.uk
