  1. damn it... now i gotta go get me one!
  2. frankly, i don't even know myself! started with the sale of one to a friend who has been bugging me for it. that seem to have triggered a chain reaction and before i know, they were all gone! didn't help that i splurged on a number of PAM and IWC gens in the past few months, and those have been hogging some major wrist-time. anyway, i doubt it'd be long before my watchbox starts to fill up with other PAMs again.. already have my next project lined up
  3. hahaha.. yeah, sure looks like a fair bit of concepta's recent offerings came over to sunny singapore
  4. don't know what got over me recently, but i went on a bit of a watchbox-clearing spree and let go of a number of my rep PAMs to new homes. 201a, 202a, 002, 232, 010, 114, 199, 063... out the door! but there was this one particular PAM which i couldn't bear to part with, and it's my PreA 009. there's been a fair amount of work and effort put into it, so it's probably safe to say that this bad boy is a keeper. - DSN case wth original PVD coating stripped, and redone at a factory that claims to be the coating service provider for Officine Panerai - nicely aged PVD coating that's starting to wear along the edges. pretty gen-like i must say - FGD 002/009 dial, with a matte coating applied - AR removed from crystal - T48 PVD crown - CP flush and polished - flush CG pin with PVD coating removed to show the steel finish underneath (this wear seems to be common amongst 009 gen pics i've seen) only 1 more thing left to do, and that's to install FGD's set of PreA/PreV hands... anyway, time to stop blabbering and show some pics!
  5. very very nice bro.. got my 3717-12 at Spin for some franken work on it now, can't wait to get it back..
  6. most welcome mate.. the 7-day Portu 5001 is one of my personal favorites.. at 42mm, it wears a fair bit bigger than its actual size may suggest, due to the lack of a bezel which really brings out the full size of the dial. sits very well on the wrist, and the dial's silvery white & blue combination really makes it a very versatile watch for both work and casual. the 51011 calibre movement is a sight to behold, and what's to complain abut having a 7-day power reserve? i used to own a Big Pilot, but i dare say that my 5001-07 would rank higher on my list
  7. finally managed to get the main cast together to film this portuguese porn, since they had recently gone in separately to richemont for some spa treatment.. always been a PAM guy, but i have to admit that i have a very soft spot for IWC Portus.. just a timeless classy design to them that's extremely versatile for all occasions.. get your lube ready
  8. nice.. i'd be interested too mate
  9. G, can you make me one and fit it onto my 6152?
  10. definitely loving mine! it's a monster next to my PAM!
  11. i have an old school Eddie Lee PAM63C modded with Leo DW and T48 crown that i can consider letting go at the right price if you are interested. nice case with no lug dimples the movement within is an ETA2836-2, so might be a good candidate for you to transplant your 2893-2 into
  12. i threw in the towel and succumbed to the temptation of modern PAMs... here's my newly acquired 312 with other recent acquisitions including a swiss army air boss mach6 off fleabay for a PAM project
  13. glad you're enjoying your TG.. got a few new toys today.. hehe.. meeting up this Sun?
  14. nope.. just with a fine brush.. then just wipe excess paint off the top surface with a cloth dapped with some thinner..
  15. question about the strap, it tapers down to what width at the buckle? i.e. what's the width measurement of the buckle?
  16. used dark silver acrylic paint, mixed with a little gold paint..
  17. i'll go with the 312.. it has much better wrist presence than the 250, plus at least you get a in-house movt.. i wasn't a fan of the 312 until i tried one on my wrist.. almost got one, but i already had a mini fiddy style gen in my 233i, so passed on the 312
  18. i don't think i've hit the jackpot on my 3rd attempt in repainting my TG's side logo to match the gen, but i think it now looks good enough for me to stop messing with it well, unless i happen to stumble on the right paint color while shopping.. couple of gen pics for comparison:
  19. using tamiya model gun metal paint... still not the desired color couple more gen pics i found.. now looks to be a matt grey-ish color.. not so silvery or metallic... off to the hobby shop again tomorrow for a better paint match!
  20. Actually the default strap on the 5001-07 is a dark blue gator strap to match the blue markers. Not black. I did try matching a couple of the brown gators at the IWC boutique, but didn't like how the watch looked with brown strap. Especially as the dial is actually silver in color with blue markers. So back to square one. The standard oem dark blue gator is still the best match so far. I have a gen 3714-01 portu chrono as well, which came with a black gator. Changed that to a oem antique brown gator, which looks great on the watch due to the gold markers.
  21. looks like it's time to order one
  22. is the new titanium T3 rep's case size correct as per gen? tried out the gen today and i'm absolutely smitten by it
  23. here u go! taken a couple days back
  24. looks great T.. can't wait to try these out!

    PAM CG

i'm afraid there's no aftermarket CGs available for the 212 at the moment.. the CG sold by TB and Nembo are for non-chrono PAMs like 111,112 etc..
