My vote is genuine because of the bezel. I've only seen one bezel look like that, and it comes from Rolex S.A.

My case has at least 8mm of depth to allow for the crystal...

My Omega case has an opening for the caseback/movement that is right at 32mm in diameter. This fits just right around my vintage Tropic crystals (1680, 1665, 6263, etc)...

You already know my answer on the subject... But... I can go and measure the diameter of the case to let you know what size it is...

regardless of the image, I wouldn't trust it...

I just love the way that movement looks. It's finish is very intriguing and makes for an interesting swap in the Jones case.

I'm not sure about the whole drop shipping scenario, but I would imagine that if you are collecting money and brokering the sales of counterfeit product in certain volumes, you put yourself at risk for prostitution... Er, I mean prosecution. All it takes is selling to the wrong person at the wrong time to land some trouble that could have been avoided by simply not doing.

I've seen a few of each, as well as 16618's... In both solid 14k and 18k gold. But, they are very pricey, and gold was never to my taste anyways (so I passed and kept looking for stainless). One thing to keep in mind; these cases were meant for genuine Rolex calibers (4030 for Daytona; 3135 for YM and Submariner), so you'd definitely need to source the correct movements to ensure correct fit and stem alignment (i.e. ETAs and Valjoux mod 7750's probably will not work). Consequently, I've not seen a case for a 4130 movement Daytona yet; the 11652x cases varies to the 16528/4030 as it is slightly thinner in profile, and hence stem alignment might be off if you are looking to mix and match cases and movements.

I wouldn't worry about it. Maria probably isn't all that interested in selling to the vast majority to begin with. Does that mean MBW's will go away? Probably not entirely... They will, however become harder to find. But this is no different than what has occured in the past.

Clamps are easy to get, and available at most watch parts supply houses. Should be a couple bucks total for the parts and shipping, etc (some may require a minimum order for shipping).

Is the project worth doing? To me... My opinion is yes, it is absolutely worth doing, and I will probably do it again as I just can't get enough of the Daytona For now, the 16520 remains to be one of my favorite watches to wear... It's comfortable, sits on the wrist nicely, and has just the right balance between subtle and bling for me. One key element to the project that I must stress is patience. A project like this is one that's worth doing right; don't want to cut corners or rush things, as the end result will absolutely reflect the time, money and effort invested Cheers, R

If you are U.S. based, I simply would not do it. The risks involved as a dealer are not worth it. Just my honest opinion on the matter...
