I have never taken the movement out... is it difficult?

I have a black faced rollie daydate that all of a sudden has this "speck of something" on the crystal. I tried to get it off and it does not budge, so I am thinking it might be on the other side of the crystal. Because the watch is a black face the "speck" stands out like a sore thumb. Can someone walk me thru how to pop the crystal off or point me to were there might be directions?

Well my Ultimate 111h arrived from Angus today... and I must have got lucky because I did not have any problems. The "L Swiss Made L" is there, the super lume appears to be nice and even, I charged it and took it in a dark room and it looks great Only one problem... This is my first PAM and I'm not sure it is for me... I guess I will take a couple of days to decide... but I am going to be very careful with it in case I decide to sell it on the board here... The watch looks FANTASTIC though... I just need to decide if it's for me I will post pics later tonight!!!

Why does everyone make such a big deal about the graph dial and graph subdial combo?

Could someone please tell me which is correct for the BCE: Josh's HERE - Black Graphite Dial, Black Subdials, Silver Stick Markers, WHITE "automatic" OR Trusty's HERE - Graphite Dial (with black subdials) with Silver Stick Markers, RED "automatic" Also is the dial/subdial color combo correct?

I also order one from Angus about a week ago. After reading this thread I sent him an email asking him to check my watch. Here is his reply: "I will definately check it, it was an accident, I will take care of him! I believe this wont happen again. Regarding the lume color, because the dial is relumed and the hands are lumed and the color will be a very slightly different, as my watch smith is not as skilful as the modders on the board. I will check yours for sure!" I will report back when I receive mine!!!

Well after a long time I and much going back and forth I finally order my first PAM. I have bought many watches (Rolex, Omega, Tag, Breitling) from several dealers... but this is my first PAM and my first dealing with PT. I order a PAM 111H (Asian movement) with superlume and cannon pin fix (he has been out of stock for a while but just told me it is available) all for $288.00 USD shipped... which seems like a pretty good deal to me. I will post some pics when I get it... CAN'T wait Next on my list is the rose gold 231 or rose gold black seal (still can't decide which to go for) from TTK!!!!

So what would be best to polish up those center links?

I don't know... I went to the Rolex website to get a picture of the gen and mine looks pretty darn close.. Here is a pic of the gen I need to dig out my camera and take a picture of mine... but the center links on mine look just like this as do the side ones... maybe it's something I can't see in the color without seeing the gen in person...

I just picked up a rolex Day Date SS rep. I know that Rolex only makes them in yellow gold, white gold, and platinum. My question is if I want to get the bracelet to have a white gold look is there anything I can do? Would a cape cod cloth do the trick?

How do you order from TTK? Is skype the only way?

So in the case of our dealers when they say "synthetic sapphire" is that really mineral glass?

Can you notice a difference between the synthetic vs the real sapphire???
