  1. I am leaning towards a 111 or 127. I have a smaller wrist so I was thinking of 44mm ones. I would love you opinion!
  2. Dag I love this place. I have become pretty good at spotting flaws in other brands like Rlx and Omg when ot comes to crown guards, pearls, bezel inserts, rehut depth, etc... but there are soooo many PAM models that (at least to a PAM noob) look the same. Would a Davidson or TWP have one with these issues corrected, or are they across the board?
  3. Again admitting I don't know much in terms of accuracy... what is wrong with the "A"'s???
  4. Could someone please comment on the accuracy of the follwong watches... I really like them, but am no PAM expert. I can't for the life of me figure out why such a big price diff when they all seem to have the same movement... http://www.pc-80108.com/pn11107-swiss-unit...tor-p-2408.html http://www.pc-80108.com/pn17602-titanium-s...neck-p-864.html http://www.pc-80108.com/pn17201-tantalium-...497-p-2035.html
  5. Great story... can we see a pic of this beauty???
  6. I agree I love the metal bracelet too, but I am also I big fan of the rubber strap. I have a feeling I will be switching them every few weeks. Now that I have the rubber strap on it will give me a chance to polish the mid links with a cape cod cloth. Te only draw back to the bracelet is that it is prone to easy scratching, and I already have a few, so this will give me a chance to buff them out
  7. Well I finally took some pics. Please excuse the quality, but I think you will get the general idea. My over all impression is that the rubber strap looks great. I think it goes very nicely with the black numbers on the outer bezel. The strap is also very comfortable. The one small issue, and it really isn't an issue for me but might be for others, is that there is a slight separation between the strap ans the watch (just above the pearl and below the "30"). I can hardly notice it and don't mind it at all. I jave a small wrist, those with larger ones shouldn't notice it as much. Have a look!
  8. I would love to here the answer to this one as well. When I first got here over a year ago a was not a fan of the PAMs at all. Know I really like the looks of them... but the sheer number of models is overwhelming.... any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!
  9. Sorry guys the weekend got away from me and I didn't have a chance to change it. BUT, when I got home tonight I took 5 min to make the switch. I will take some pictures tomorrow when the I have better light. I'll also wear it a bit to to give you my impression.
  10. Would the key difference between the 2 just be how long the watch will go before you have to wind it again??? If so I guess it would depend on how many hours the seagull will run on a single winding...
  11. I wonder why Josh and Andrew have some with the 7750 and some with the Lemania' handwind if the latter is the superior movement? The Lemania' handwind is about $100.00 cheaper too... insteresting
  12. Great news!!! Can any now comment on the quality of the Ferrari reps?
  13. Recently I have taken a liking to the Ferrari reps. Looking around at some of the dealers some of the watches have our standard Asian 7750 movement, but then there are others like this one here that have a "Lemania Hand Wind Chronograph Movement". Can someone tell me about this movement. Is it reliable? Also can anyone comment on the over all quality of the Ferrari reps? Thanks!
  14. Funny you posted this. I bought my Blue Aquaracer from Josh a few weeks ago. I got the one with the steel bracelet but also order the rubber bracelet from Josh too. I planning to put it on tonight. Hopefully I will be able to get some pics up for you.
  15. How is the gold plating holding up on everyone's watches. I have really been eying at TT GMT II with my only reservation being about the gold plating. Comments???
  16. Well just remeber that if you are going to tell people it's gen it has to be believable. Not everyone can pull off wearing a $20,000.00 watch. With that being said, it depends on what you want to wear it for... a daily beater??? A nice dress watch??? Your profile says you are from the DR so i would stay away from anything gold-plated as it could start to wear off quickly in the hot weather. I would recommend the following (in no particular order): Tag Chrono Tag Aquaracer OM Planet Ocean SFSO Hope this helps!
  17. Thanks By-Tor... as always you da man!!! Did I mention how [censored] I am at you for making me buy this watch!!
  18. Hi All, Just got my new Tag Aquaracer from Josh... absolutly beautiful watch, very sporty looking. My question is how do you adjust the day? I can pull the stem out to adjust the date, but can figure out how to adjust the day other that pull it all the way out and adjust the time... but that a lot of turning! When I adjust the time the day and date change together. However when I let the watch run on it's own the date will change but the day will not change for another 12 hours. Am I missing something?
  19. Like other people have stated, I am crossing my fingers they get a great version of the GMT II.. but I am not holding my breath. I don't understand why they have such a hard time repping Rlx... the design, for the most part, seems pretty straight forward
  20. The problem TTK is that this whole hobby works on trust. If this thread serves nothing more that to have noobs steer clear of the "servicing option" I will be happy. But just saying "deal with it" is a little rediculous. I came right out and said I have no way to prove it, if I could I would. If you took your car to the shop for a 60km tune up (even though it was running fine) and paid for the service and found out they did nothing would you just "deal with it"??? I think not... Remember I started this thread by saying "please don't think I am attacking any of our dealers. All my "serviced" watches have never had a problem, this is just something that I have had in the back of my mind (and I bet many other have too)" All I wanted to see was if anyone could prove that they got what they paid for... so far across this thread no one has been able to do that...
  21. If I had a way to "prove" that they were not serviced I would. Unfortunatly as I said I am no The Zigmeister so I really don't know. I am just going on the general consenus it this thread that everyone seems to think nothing is done to these watches...
  22. Good to know they can last so long... to bad I can't get my money back. I really feel like I have been cheated
  23. I agree... $10-$20 is one thing... but fleecing customers out of $120 is highway robery.... if anything I hope this thread serves as a warning to noobs!!! Have Josh or Andrew every defended themselves on this???
  24. So most people believe that this statement from our dealers is complete bullsh!t??? Waterproofing : Additional seals are add on and watch is pressure tested to 5 bars... 50m waterproofing.. Movement is completely overhaul and re-assembled, serviced and re-lub with 5 different types of Swiss imported movement lubricant, Calibration to +5 secs per day. Above scope of works is carry out by Swiss trained Technicians Like I said I wish I had the expertise to very this but I don't. Has anyone ever been able to verify this??? If not this would be an out right lie and something should be done!!!
  25. I have been thinking about this for a long time. I have purchased several reps from several dealers across the board here. On a few of them, particulary the ones with Asain 7750 movements, I have elected to go with the "full service + waterproofing" option. Now the test for waterproofing is pretty easy, put in water, if it leaks, clearly something isn't right... But the movement service is a different story. How do we really know that our dealers are doing what they promise? Has anyone who knows what to look for ever opened a "serviced" watch to see if what was promised was done? Please share your experiences. ps - please don't think I am attacking any of our dealers. All my "serviced" watches have never had a problem, this is just something that I have had in the back of my mind (and I bet many other have too)
