  1. I can not agree more! When will the next season be launched? Anyone who knows?
  2. Nice! Where did you buy the aftermarket strap?
  3. Nice pic! It's hit and miss with those movements... Never had problems as well.
  4. There are 2 versions, A tour auto, with red coloured subdials and single strap stitching, and a Driver Boutique, with orange subdials and double orange stitching on the strap. Caseback is different as well. In gen form, you also have the Classic Tour. Basically the same as the tour auto but with different caseback.
  5. Per AP, it is a light effect from the blackened treatment. It is noticeable at certain angles and in certain light, and when AP saw it, they liked the effect. => according to the AP administrator on TimeZone The dots could also refer to gun sights Anyway, it is a nice rep and very well built with attention to details. Too bad AP is not at Baselworld...
  6. It is correct some gens don't have dots.
  7. As promised, this is a pic of the upperside of the watch, previous pic was the underside of the watch, on the pic the red dot looks yellow, due to the light.
  8. This is not correct, they are on both sides, will post a pic later, on my iPhone now
  9. Not bad! Strapluxe or simona? Good quality?
  10. I don't think so QC pics from a member on RWI:
  11. Good choice to pic the survivor Guru! 1. If I were you I'd get it on the rubber strap, quality is great. Concerning the hornback leather, you should get that one aftermarket IMO... The rubber strap is available separately though, just ask your dealer. 2. Like RKDK said, the gen has no AR. Usually I am not fond of AR on AP's but this one somewhat deserves it . Gen AP's do reflect a bit, but not as much as the rep due to the higher grade sapphire, I would opt for single AR on the inside. But that's all up to your own opinion, I like my reps as much gen-like as possible (not talking about frankens). The cyclopse of the Survivor has got AR, so I'd buy an AR'ed cyclopse from Uwe. Gen pic: 3. Hands and hourmarkers on the gen have lume, on the rep they are poor (pic below). Reluming would do the trick, I am always pro for a relume job! Let them glow! 4. For AR coating I would opt for Uwe, superluming as well . Another thing, on the gen, the conversion links have red and green dots, I think this can be a nice mod, it's not necessary as nobody would notice it but you. the dots: Anyway, it's a great rep. You can find some nice pics overhere: horomundi link! The official "survivor" webpage: Survivor-AP
  12. Don't know if they sell it, I got this price from Hont.
  13. the price of a case only should be $100, so that would solve some problems though I think it would take some years before the rubber would start cracking...
  14. I think this is an appropriate thread for this assembly video of the gen
  15. Yes, on this one it is. This is the brushed case, sandblasted by Taka. This was the "wrong" Chronopassion with sandblast mod .
  16. About the scratches on titanium, some people use a fiberglass pen to brush away scratches. Don't know if this is possible on the sandblasted case though
  17. Let us see some QC pics! I ordered one from Toro at RG but it would take some days before he gets it.
  18. first flaw: the upper borders on the side of the crown guards should be polished, on the rep they look sandblasted as well (on the SS they're also polished)
  19. it looks great, it has the flaws every AP has, but dial etc looks very well replicated, also, this is a G-series caseback! http://v2.chronopassion.fr/notre-collection/?lang=fr#/royal-oak-offshore-chronopassion/47/ retail price is 24900 Euros, gen pics: rep pics: My gen rubber strap & AR'ed cyclopse are waiting for this one!
  20. I know you also were awaiting this a long time Ian! I just sent an e-mail to Toro for an order!
