  1. These are my first opinions after viewing the pics: 300m/1000ft AUTOMATIC text is the wrong font hour markers: need thinner surroundings, more lume hour markers at 12 should be next to each other, without a gap the bezel ring needs lume the date cyclopse window needs to be a bit bigger, now it is perfect for the scuba versions (scuba boutique, wempe & bartorelli) though the endlinks on the genuine article stick a bit out above the case AR on the cyclops & crystal would be nice...
  2. Indeed! This one needs a relume & ar coating! (you're correct, the diver has got AR coating, though the older diver boutique's haven't)
  3. not yet, just viewed the pics again, lume markers look too thick, case thickness looks good, the 300m/1000ft Automatic font is wrong, date window is too small, but heck, I'm getting it looks better than the other version, caseback looks way better as well + bigger crowns etc...
  4. let's get the party started! first live pic: Josh's:
  5. Yes, over the past year a complete movement (brand new) pops up now and then, not often though. Also contacting several watchsmiths would help. But on the second hand watches you're right, never found one for $300, at $350 - $400 I've seen some sold though, old tag's mostly. Patience is the key though...
  6. noobfactory sample should be ready today. fingers crossed
  7. Can be used but as said before, not without hour wheel and canon pin. Good price on the movt.! $300 is what you should pay.
  8. I proposed an AR'ed cyclopse project to Uwe (german watchmaker) and he agreed on it. This is months ago... So they are easily available...
  9. Also take a look at Jacobstraps. Not very well-known but his straps are hot! The quality is at least as high as APbands & HKTan.
  10. could you share the QC pics please? thanks
  11. yes, 42mm, lug to lug is 55mm and thickness 13.75mm
  12. Actually this dial also came on a grey gold case (new style) with black pushers. This model is not known by many people. (model nr.25721bc.0.1000bc.01)
  13. All the flaws on the V1 in a list: - Datewheel is white (should be fixed now on most of the V1's) - Case and bezel too thick - Metal surrounds on markers too thick - Bezel screws should be slightly recessed - Round date window - Some rehaut markers are too thin & the lume filling of the stick markers is too thin - Caseback engraving is totally wrong (should be fixed by now? though the caseback detailing could be better, the Driver replica has a great caseback like this) - The printing "Audemars Piguet" and "300m/1000ft", "AUTOMATIC" should be printed on a separate plate - The crown at 10 o´clock is wrong as well and should be bigger....it should only show an engraved ring around it....the rep now shows an edged/step-design. - The crown at 3 should be slightly bigger as well. - A tiny detail more....the endlinks will not be smooth with the case but stand out a bit, saw that on many gen ROO´s now and the rep looks way better hahaha. - And one more tiny detail....the gen DIVER does NOT show any gasket on the caseback (between case and caseback) like all the other ROO´s!!! These are the flaws Theo and I discussed about. I don't know if there are more.
  14. Otherwise contact rolexfinder or narikaa for such a pusher as it's an MBW
  15. Gens have no AR, my crystals sit a tiny bit above the bezel (steel)
  16. Not corrected, this was a try. Tachyring is thinner but take a look at the numbers
  17. Still the same V1 version... Genuine watch my *ss
  18. Jeje, muchas gracias! Habrá más fotos de otros tipos de relojes más tarde!
  19. Brushed titanium, gen is microblasted titanium
  20. Fellow AP lovers, The Chronopassion has been out for some time and I have finally received it. I ordered it the day it came out and finally this week it arrived from Torobravo. The watch arrived in Spain DOA with the rotor loose in it’s case so Toro had to send it to his watchmaker to get it repaired. That’s why it took two months. Now onto the review and the pictorial! History about the Chronopassion. Chronopassion is a famous AD located in Paris, France. They sell various Haute Horlogerie brands such as Richard Mille, Urwerk, MB&F, Greubel Forsey, Glashütte, … Also the Hublot Boutique in Paris is runned by the owner of the Chronopassion Boutique. This model has been release in 2009 by AP for the Paris-based retailer. This exclusive timepiece is manufactured from titanium, which features a “microbillé” bead-blasted finish. The bead-blasted finish is contrasted by lustrous polishing on the bezel screw and bevels of the bezel. The waffle patern dial is in a warm sort of grey and features white gold surrounded luminous hour markers. The genuine article has a balance frequency of 21,900bph. Audemars Piguet has produced 50 pieces of this version and it is completed by a rubber strap and a micro-blasted titanium clasp. The titanium caseback is engraved with the individual number of the watch as well as the words “Limited Edition Chronopassion”. Some gen pics: Now onto my review and my observations: First of all, we all know the 3 usual flaws of the ROO’s (datefont & datewindow, caseback is too thick, position of the crown and pushers and the shape of the pushers). For this review I forget these flaws. One of the first things I’ve done with my watch is cleaning it up, put the gen rubber strap on it (has a better feel imo) and take it outside! The shade of the bead-blasted Titanium in the sun is superb, awesome. Wonderful! The titanium has a nice feel and a less cold feel compared to SS. sunlight vs. shadow what a beauty in the sun! The machining on case was a thing I feared when the factory decided to add the bead-blasted finish, but it turned out beautiful and it looks as per gen. The only thing I can add is that the parts that should be polished should be polished a bit more. There is also a part they forgot to polish. The upper small border of the crown guards should be polished. the part that has not been polished can be seen here Now to the dial; a wonderful dark-grey, anthracite color-base with black subdials. The subdials have silver outlines which are a tad too thick imo, but this is a flaw every AP has with those rings. Don’t see this as a flaw! Hardly noticeable. The lume is bad, standard rep lume. The hands are better lumed than the numerals. Gen Omega PO dial vs. Chronopassion (iPhone shot) Caseback…..GREAT, it has all the correct ingravings, the Chronopassion logo is correct, they used a G-series number which is correct as well and the correct limitation number of XX/50. They produced individual limitation numbers. The clasp is titanium as well, it’s not microblasted like the gen though. The crown screws in better than my other AP’s, also the pushers are easier to push. (Just lucky I guess) Conclusion: The ROO Chronopassion is for me one of the most beautiful ROO’s ever produced. It’s sporty yet stylish and classy as well. I think it can be combined with a t-shirt and a jeans as well as with a suit. It has a warm and elegant look even being a chunky watch. The bead-blasted finish also gives it a bit of a stealth look. The way the titanium changes in sunlight or shadow is beautiful. I’d definitely recommend this watch! But wear it as a Sunday’s watch, the titanium is a scratch magnet! My Chronopassion will get a superlume mod and I will ad an AR'ed cyclopse as the gen is AR'ed also the parts that should be polished will be better polished . I hope my review helps as well as my pics do. Extra pics (heavy!):
  21. If I remember well the gen came with blue pushers (way darker than the rep) or black pushers. Dial is somewhat too blue, MBW dial is lot's better.
  22. A true AP Classic: link: http://www.1-pc8838.com/0191a-p-10177.html Looks ok at first sight, pushers are the wrong color.
