Hey there,
I was able to covince my father to buy a rep, he's a real nitpicker but he wants a watch like the AP RO 15300, PP Aquanaut, Vacheron Constantin Overseas, ... I guess you know what I mean.
Now, since he's quite nitpicking I'd like to get your recommendations about a rep in the same line with the ones above. What would you guys suggest, price - quality wise? And close to the gen?
Thanks
@ TXcollector: You're close but this is the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore Driver Boutique Edition, not the Tour Auto, it basically looks the same but it uses orange instead of red, caseback is different and strap uses a double stitch.
Some pics:
retail price is in my first post: "It was released at Baselworld 2010. Retail price normally is $2750 but can be found at $1925"
another flaw I noticed, "calibre 5" should be white instead of orange
I've waited for some time on this beauty, this is a Tag that really caught my attention concerning PVD watches.
No price yet, but it looks good at first sight. Don't know if the lume is yellowish-green on the rep though (hard to decide on the pics). Also the bezel dot has this lume. The datewheel is wrong as well, should be black with white lettering, this one is white with black lettering.
Gen is brushed titanium with PVD coating, AR-coated on the inside only. Clasp is brushed titanium without PVD Coating.
It was released at Baselworld 2010. Retail price normally is $2750 but can be found at $1925.
Before buying this watch, I'd like to refer to the detailed review b16a2 wrote about the SS version:REVIEW
What are your thoughts on this one?

Bought it from a business friend of my dad for $55 . it is stiffer and feels of higher quality. $55 is worth the investment, hehe.
I would not buy it at resale price, but now and then there's one on the bay that sells for cheap.
This is indeed a quartz Audemars Piguet Team Alinghi rep. Funny thing is that they even used the wrong caseback in the pic Theo shows us. Also the bezel is should be forged carbon. This model was known for a lot of problems with the forged carbon.
There was a thread on watchprosite about this and no one even noticed this was a rep...
here you go, the gen:
