May I know why the fake strap on a gen forum advertised for sale is still being ignored by the mods?! A child can tell it apart from a gen knowing what to look for!
-
Indeed, he's a stand up guy, got my tracking number yesterday as well.
-
Quite simple, taking down all reps being sold as gens on the web. This kind of scam ruins the hobby for both gen and rep owners, I don't think I am the only one here with that idea. I can't stand such activities. When it comes to this, each member has to be treated the same way, history or not. And believe me stephane, it's so easy to find out all this info that is only takes 2 hours to find out all of this. It is so visible linking all these things to each other. And all of a sudden posting on here as well, well, because he got banned on all those other fora as well, all of a sudden. It stinks mate, it really stinks. I may not be that active overhere, but I am on other fora. This is the place to be for rolex imo. If I need info on rolex, tudor, etc. I love being here. And to contribute in the AP section.

We did not get any answers on this I've posted. According to the exif files the pics of the AP Diver strap and pics you posted on this forum were made with the same camera. These are the tells of the rubber strap you offer: Rubber strap grooves do not complete half circle at the end of the strips Rubber strap fonts too far centered (royal oak offshore font) Rep buckle - shorter and thinner Rep buckle - inside texture wrong as well on the tongue Rep buckle - logo inside too large and too far right Rep buckle - "Stainless Steel" should read "ACIER INOX" You admit they are yours? You have been banned at RWI as well, you probably do not have a clue about this why? Been banned on what, 3-4 fora already, and not having a clue why?! Strange to me. Most of them start with a warning first unless it's a serious matter. And as for your ban on repgeek, this is what Nembo shared with everyone on there: "Let's make this clear. The member in question was banned from the forum already weeks ago, also following a tip from edgmatic and my investigation in the matter. For what RG is concerned case closed. What happens outside of my house, once my house has been sanitized is not of my interest. If you guys want to pursue the man hunt, you have my simpathy but the administration did everything that needed to be done already for the forum." I'm sorry Ken, but I have provide the RWG crew of: e-mail traffic with the e-mail that pops up in those ads on gen fora sql_pl admitting he was the same guy, he did not know yet I bought from him the tells of the fake strap he advertised in the pics (a fake item on a gen site, referring to rule number 26 of the rwg rules, even that is in violation) the exif data that gives away that the pics are taken with the same lens, same camera paypal info that gives away his name, which leads to his profile pics and links to the same guy here IP adresses were provided to you This info above is not enough?! I would not know what else you would need. The straps are not even sold with the genuine packaging! If you know which tells to look for, even a child can tell it's a fake strap being offered on a gen strap. Lot's of stuff is getting ignored overhere, why? Thanks, I guess you get the point. Oh and one more thing, since he is still offering those rubber AP Diver straps, why don't you ship me one? I'll go with the strap to my AD or to my contact person of AP. There will be a conclusion pretty fast if it's gen or rep. The brand only sells genuine straps via AD's. So your source must be an AD? And he is selling the straps including a buckle? That's a state in which they are never delivered to an AD. And they have NO gen packaging?! Come on... OR your source is scamming you with great succes, OR you're scamming people with great succes. I just don't get this. So much is getting overlooked here. There's a causal relastionship between all these things, which is enough to prove right or wrong.
-
My answer: 1. I did not receive a strap and did get a refund. (as sent in a pm to you) 2. I was not scammed, he is scamming others with these straps, they are obviously fake, telling from the pics only. + Robert + Watchprosite member + other ones that don't know these rep straps It's hard expressing everything if you're not a native english speaker, please send me a pm in which I state these things, I'll read them through again as I don't think I've stated that I was scammed.

Use blogger.com, pretty good imo. And PICS, lot's of PICS That's what we need! hehe

Good idea! take a look: http://regex.info/ex...5751%2Fhbb2.jpg http://regex.info/ex...%2F21482852.jpg taken in around the same period, this is a match, same camera and same lens...

That's what I understand as well. I do think that the Admin team is involved in this forum rule though: [26] - NO replica pictures should be posted on the genuine time piece forums by the members of RWG. A violation of this rule will get you permanently banned. Our little underground hobby does not need this kind of attention.
-
I'd be very interested. Good idea on the blog.

Please answer all the questions that have been asked by me. I do assume those other profiles are from you indeed, since they are all linking to one and the same address, the one you've e-mailed me with. Pics of rep straps were put online on gen forums with those accounts, even that is a violation of the rules here. No reps on gen fora. But this is not what it's about, please answer the questions. The only thing you've posted on gen fora are selling threads, not even a small contribution, which is odd as well imo. Gen owners?! I do think there are enough gen owners overhere, guys, do you get your strap changed at an AD? The ones on a forum are very interested in timepieces, threads do come up often with the question of how to change a strap. + The straps you picked to sell are great reps, barely noticeable, even by an AD. That is no answer to this mess. You did get banned on those fora and you "suppose" it's by late shipping etc? Bull$hit to me. At least you would have gotten a warning, those are stand up fora. They do not ban all of a sudden. Before you send info to the mods about your satisfuying buyers, update them first about the fact that there are reps floating around on gen sites, maybe they don't even know the differences? As it IS hard to say, even we as rep knowledgable and gen knowledgable people hardly can point out the flaws. But in some cases we can as with the Diver strap you are offering. Not knowing any flaws, gen people can be had pretty easy. How about those bad experiences? How about robertb? He says he received a fake strap? How about the member on watchprosite? He says as well he received a fake strap. This is confusing. Anyhow, I will leave it with this, and I do hope there will be a solution to this as it stinks, the whole situation. *@ Mods, is it possible to delete the info about the company? The thing is that it helps proving that all those profiles are one and the same person, all leading to the same e-mail address. We need some answers to some questions I've posted, also reply robertb and others with questions. You may be tired of this situation, I'm getting tired of all those people trying to scam gen people with reps. End of discussion for me, I've provided enough information.
-
This seems pretty obvious to me, he wants to keep rep community and gen community separated. If he would've put those straps for sale here I would have jumped on it even faster. It's a good question why he did NOT post them overhere, if they are gen, why not helping rep members having a great deal? Those AP straps are a steal at that price, if they would have been gen... Thanks for the investigation, I fully understand that it is not obvious concerning the matter of such a long term member with lot's of contribution. I liked him as well. Robert is right, view these threads: http://forums.watchuseek.com/f319/fs-oem-omega-seamaster-planet-ocean-rubber-strap-22-mm-307091.html (check the username and the e-mail address in the sales thread) http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=msg&goto=5226676&rid=92462 (check the username and the e-mail address in the sales thread)

Well, in some sale threads he states to contact him via XXX@XXX.com is you have any further questions. The e-mail adress where I sent my money to was the same e-mail adress and belonged to a guy who was named Maciej XXX, then I linked this to Maciek and sent him a message on RG asking if he was that guy and I posted the e-mail adress in my PM. He said he was that guy. Also I have checked out the guy names Maciej XXX on the internet and it leads me to his FB page, which is him (he posted pics of weekends or something on here before, I recognised him). And it also leads to a Polosh company called SQL Sp. z o.o. company registered with number (XXXX ) 2003-10-14 and in this company he is CEO since 2011-05-10. Now he should be 27 years old. If the RWG crew wants this information, I'd gladly send it over. I did not know that, overhere in Belgium registered mail is always with a tracking number, got few parces from around the world as well with registered mail and those were with tracking as well. Anyhow, then ignore the fact I thought so if it is what you say. Doesn't change a lot in the story.

What more of an explanation do you need that the e-mail adress is associated with these scams. If you're knowledgeable of AP's you can see that these are fake straps. The fact that SQL_PL positively replied me to a question if he was that seller says enough. It would be the same as "Yes, I am the seller on the gen forums that is a member of rep forums as well and I sell fake straps on those gen forums" or would it bit "Yes, I am the seller on the gen forums that is a member of rep forums as well, selling gen straps with pictures of fake straps and selling without any legit packaging, but the straps are gen for sure". I don't think the gen fora "WUS", "TZ", "Watchprosite" are guys who ban a lot? Then WHY would then ban this member? Thanks. Ken, sorry for the confusion, the fact that english is not my mother thongue may have something to do with it. This is how it went, I bought a supposedly gen strap from WUS of a member called dbgs1306, located in Poland. Paid him, he told me he shipped it but I never received a tracking number allthough I asked for it and he told me it was being shipped with registered priority mail. Registered means I should get a tracking number right? I also asked if it came with original packaging, but it didn't. I asked 3 - 4 times if he had a tracking number, never got a reply so I started searching on him (which I should have done before). I came out with another member having the same experiences. Once payment has been made there is almost no communication, as before I always got a reply within 24hours, after payment I had to wait 8 days for a reply and then again 7 days. Things were not right with this. So I asked to cancel the order and he agreed. Later on that year I got looking again for a strap, came out with the same seller, on different forum, but selling fake straps (pictures proved they were fake), I do know my stuff very well and the tells are quite obvious if you know them. The AP Diver strap is the best example, grooves in the rubber strap do not complete half circle at the end of the strips, fonts on the back are too far centered, buckle is shorter than gen, inside texture of the rep is wrong vs the gen, logo inside is to large, rep buckl says stainless steel where the gen reads "acier inox". Anyhow, it is a fake strap for sure. Then a bell ringed, the rep UPO straps are 1:1 with the gen, but the other straps aren't. Then later on on Watchprosite, there was another member who had bought a strap from him and he posted this on the forum openly: "You sell and ship item different from what'd been advertised. When emailed you for explanation, you gave no response. The rubber band was a replica too. You might have tons of satisfied buyers because you do sell some authentic ones AND mix with replica ones. As long as you provide a refund, I will drop this subject." So I have not spent 1 year shadowing him, roads came together now and then and questions began to rise. So I've started looking this up more deeply, this was the outcome. Same fake pics, same contact e-mail, same prices, same country of residence, same experiences from buyers, ... To me that says enough. I would not know what you'd need more. 1. There is a link between all the sellers (same e-mail address), same pics, same prices, same location. 2. SQL_PL said he is the person behind the e-mail addresses of the other fora 3. The pictures are of fake straps, see the flaws above. 4. Members have bad experiences at A. Never receiving a strap and B. the strap arrived turned out to be a fake. 5. Every member that knows AP very good as a brand should know that having access to a large ammount of straps is just plain impossible, even with good connections. And if they would be gen, they are being sold with packaging only, never being sold with a buckle on it, and they are not being sold at such a low price SQL_PL is offering them. So selling 10 straps would make a big loss. Which is just not logical, since the straps are brand new. I don't know why this case hasn't been taken more seriously overhere. Without even being in touch with gen fora he got banned overthere, they would not do that just like that imo. As it does not happen that much that someone just gets banned overthere. He is banned on RWI and RWG1 as well. So saying that RG bans everyone is just not right. It's not only on RG alone. Like said before, time will tell. I do hope to get some respons to my questions raised in this post and my last post.

Oh and something to add, I sent this message in 2010 to SQL_PL, his reply is above, proving that the e-mail adress and usernames are always the same: "Hey, yes I had some watches for sale at watchprosite. The layout there is very uncomfortable though! Cheers! Quote: Originally Posted by edgematic Is it possible that you are also on gen fora? I saw you had some items advertised on watchprosite. Could be that I'm mistaking but I think it's you . [email removed] Do Not Post Other People's Personal Email Addresses!! --freddy333 Cheers! Ed." And I do not have too much time, but I'd like to take some time for such things yes, things that can help us as rep community and others/us as gen community.

I guess it's time for me to talk as well, I was invited to this thread by Freddy. I never received a strap indeed, but others didn't as well (view the links down under, as well as a message from an eBay member that bought a strap from him as well recently). As for the question, is this all the same person, YES. See here the links to his e-mail adress, always the same address. Unless other people of Poland are using the same e-mail as well?! What I would find very strange. SQL_PL did not only got banned on the fora because of my messages to the crew, they also did their investigation. Otherwise they wouldn't ban with some rumours. Especially the gen fora, which I did not contact. I have been in touch with eBay and PayPal, they are also investigating this case. So we will know if this is true or not. Paypal will check out the forums etc, got an e-mail from them today. He uses "DBGS" in his e-mail adress, and uses it on most of the fora in the sales threads where he posts they should contact him via this e-mail as well. Except TimeZone. There he can be contacted via an e-mail address, Watchsupplies, and guess what? Apperently Watchsupplies is located in Poland, using the same Thread titles, same sales text AND selling on Watchprosite as well with the same name (watchsupplies). Also always the same pics, same price and same items. Could be a coincidence, but would be rather strange in my opinion. As for a personal vendetta, surely NOT, SQL_PL has been a great member, a great contribution to the rep community, even with his nice “NSFW” pics . But after I found out about this my respect went down. I have posted the thread on RG AFTER you got banned indeed, reason is simple, they investigated as well, nembo stated they would investigate it, if it were true they would ban you. So after a second investigation I posted it to warn other members and to express myself of how sad I think such things are. Anyhow, time will tell. You can always let me know where you get so many straps, especially AP straps. I know a lot about the brand and I know some inside people as well, working at AP. Not just regular functions, higher grade functions. And even I cannot get 10 straps that easy. Even 1 strap is not that easy. It’s AP after all. Please explain the picture with the rep rubber AP strap as well. And if they were gen, then you’d be losing a lot of money on each strap as they come with a buckle, and a buckle goes for $1000+. If I asked you per e-mail if the strap came with genuine packaging you sent me back that they DO NOT come with packaging. Strange as well. The AP straps do not leave the factory without a packaging. Not even if they are in large quantities. Some info: Comments on your sale threads: On watchprosite: By: JCC296 (registered) Oct 28, 2011, 10:58 AM You sell and ship item different from what'd been advertised. When emailed you for explanation, you gave no response. The rubber band was a replica too. You might have tons of satisfied buyers because you do sell some authentic ones AND mix with replica ones. As long as you provide a refund, I will drop this subject. Timezone sales link, read it all: http://forums.timezone.com/index.php?t=tree&goto=5849161&rid=0 WUS: Strap did not arrive? Same as with me: http://forums.watchuseek.com/f63/beware-dbgs1306-600798.html Positive thread turns out not that positive about a deal: http://forums.watchuseek.com/f63/you-trust-dbgs1306-one-good-ones-396354.html Watchnet: http://forums.watchnet.com/index.php?t=tree&goto=348476&rid=0 same strap I bought, same DBGS kind of username, same e-mail address eBay: http://www.ebay.com/sch/bg.auto/m.html?hash=item3cc423a123&item=260988707107&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&_trksid=p4340.l2562 same pictures, also located in Poland (maybe a coincidence) A message from an eBay member that bought a strap from bg.auto (maybe coincidence, but same kind of story) “Hi there... Thanks for the info. The seller (bg.auto) is a piece of work, at first he was good and everything. I requested a number of inquest and he answered quite promptly. Then I saw some of the positive comments from all of his buyer, I thought it was good. So I purchased the strap from him. First he told me that the strap is in order, I have waited and emailed numerous times, he waited for the 45 days, until I could not open the case. After that time, he never answer my e-mail anymore. Luckily, I could manage to contact e-bay and further investigations is going to be done. Anyway, thanks for the advice and hope ebay can sort this issue out.” I'm sure time will tell if this is true or not.

Yep, Breitling was there as well, but my camera was getting full and took pics of the brands that take most of my interest. Not a fan of Breitling. Was wearing a gen AP15300, would be crazy to go there with a rep in between jewelers, AD's and even CEO's...

Rolex: Patek Philippe: Rolex: Patek Philippe: Corum: I wish I could've stayed longer and do everything on a slower tempo so I could have taken more pics! Lot's of brands are missing, due to my HD card that was full because of the whole weekend (went to the Vitra Design museum & campus the day before = pics as well!). Anyhow, anyone else who went to Basel, share your pics as well!

Glashütte: Tudor (lovely novelties!) Hublot (most entertaining booth)

Yesterday I've paid a visit to the Baselworld fair in ... Basel, indeed. I enjoyed it as much as I did last year, going on a Sunday is better than on a usual working day, less crowded (still crowded though!). After spending our night in a hotel in Morschwiller-Le-Bas with the LVMH crew (staying at the same hotel) we left for Basel (about 30min away). The hotels in Basel are always fully booked so if anyone wants to visit Baselworld the next year, I advice to book very early or book a hotel around Basel. I've spent 6 hours at the fair, which is NOT enough. Though, my GF was with me so I had to hurry up a bit, she likes watches, but walking around 6 hours at a fair makes her hurt her feet! Those high heels... Anyhow, since I've made a whole weekend of it, I could only snap a few shots since my camera was full. Some brands are missing as you will see, but wait until Basel is finished and you'll see a lot more and much better pics floating around the internet. The exhibition halls I loved the most was the Palace at Baselworld (smaller brands had their booth overthere, such as MB&F, HYT, Urwerk, De Bethune, Christophe Claret, ...) and the Bulgari exhibition hall (this is just INSANE!). The main hall with the main watch brands is nice as well but sometimes TOO crowded, there can be a waiting queue to see a new watch... Anyhow, I was exhausted after the visit, but here are the pics (I'm not good at photographing, so don't kill me on my skills...): At the parking in front of the Hotel: Entrance of Hall 2 with the Baselworld clock: Romain Jerôme DNA Eyjafjallajökull Linde Werdelin (small stand, only about 6 watches, they even asked if I ever heard about them! nice lady though! love these watches) Hermes (for the GF) Blancpain: Bell&Ross: Ball: Oris Pro Diver (HUGE watch!) Paul Picot: U-Boat:

AP Offshore Crystal - What it should look like
edgematic1 replied to Watchmeister's topic in The Audemars Piguet Area
interesting, is this the crystal that has been for sale on the bay at $350? I was hesitating on getting it! -
it will take some time
