  1. Regarding if the LV's anti reflective coating under the Cyclops: The only thing we can be 100% sure of is that Rolex have now incorporated the AR coating under the Cyclops on 2 models - the GMT-IIC and the new Sub-C. I already asked Rolex Cologne (Germany) the same question. They told me that both cyclops available on the 16610 LV and they also can't say the exact date or serial number. I suppose that 50 % of the V-Serial LVs already have the new anti reflective coating It turns out that Rolex began using the AR coating on the 16610LV beginning with the V7 serial...
  2. Indeed, looks great a classic iconic watch...a couple of my friends have genuine Subs they handled mine and had no clue since i did not say it was a replica...mind you they are not geeks into watches like us and have no clue regarding the model, movement...etc With those mods i wear them proudly and that genuine crystal with the AR cyclop gives so much depth to the datewheel which is especially evident from certain angles Wear it in good health!
  3. Some better quality pictures... Bert by the way shaved some more the Crown Guards and his own words was it looks "spectacular"...and i tend to agree as close to the gen as you could possibly have and i am very happy withnthe perfect fit of the barecelt no need of TC V3 at this time unless you say otherwise...
  4. My LV just came back from Bert's SPA as i franken'ed it with very hard to find genuine parts espcially the LV insert: Genuine crown with WholeSaleOutlet990 & aftermarket tube Genuine LV Insert Genuine Crystal with AR'd Cyclop Some quick pics...
  5. Some crazy pics fello rep geek - Mine is currently with BK as well and will have your same upgrades in addition to a genuine crystal... Wear it in good health!
  6. At leasts most of the pics show slashed prices and reduction of 20% You should have bought a few with such discounts lol Honnestly the best alternatives is to purchase privately a used Rolex making sure it is genuine and THEN spend $500 or so, wait 3 months for a complete overhaul looking and running like new again!
  7. Gracias Compadre! Even the packaging is top notch...
  8. BK just posted this on the other RG forum: Quote: "The dial is my custom one. The main thing is it has pbdad's SL. The triangular and rectangular markers have thicker rims while the round markers have thinner rims."
  9. I brought my small Canon Powershot Elph at work since it takes better pictures than my iPhone at work...having problems uploading them I noticed that the pearl on the genuine black TW insert looks as if it is wet. Not sure i make sense at all but upon very close inspection i could see the difference vs. my LV. The pearl itself seems is flatter and it shines more with what seems to be a clear coat giving it a nice gloss. Also the metal ring around the pearl is has rounded edges and is simply perfect!!! and also has a gloss vs. a more matt look for the LV metal ring...again being really anal here especially since i was very hesitant to add genuine parts but i do see the difference now... I am in love with it, i sound like such I looser I know Even my wife yesterday told me what now you are geeking in bed???
  10. Thanks guys Indeed stunning is an understatement I also noticed while driving home the barely noticeable coronet of the 6 o'clock position on the crystal Th sun was hitting the watch from my open sunroof and once home I could not see I again lol Stunning watch especially the chirurgical precision o the fit an finish... I will take better pics over the week end
  11. Here's the link to Bert's TW offering: http://www.rwg.cc/topic/139866-product-offering-tw-16610-sub/ My TW LV does not include any genuine parts and it looks stunning to say the least since it is already heavily modded by Bert I just wanted to go all out on this black one for a special occasion since it will be my daily watch It depends on what you would like to add, send me a pm for details or better yet contact Bert directly... Trust me when I say that his watches are simply the next best thing after Rolex in Switzerland!!!
  12. Yes sir! While driving wearing the TW Black i had the sun hit the watch from the sunroof...and that is when I i barely noticed the etched crown at the 6 o'clock. Once home i could not locate it...
  13. Good day fellow Geeks! This forum and community consists of people who love, lust, obsess and baby their watches. For many of our friends and family it is a condition, a sickness but for us ‘’watch aficionados’’ it is rather a hobby that we love so much…Many of us including myself have owned/own genuine watches. I accidentally stumbled on this amazing forum more than 3 years ago while searching the web and never looked back… Like I said it in another post (see link below), this hobby requires so much p-a-t-i-e-n-c-e J . You have to take the time and learn, research, read…etc. Doing so will help you avoid a very pricey experience and above all avoid deception, anger and regret. Want to see amazing pictures of some of BK watches? http://www.rwg.cc/topic/147225-bk-the-unofficial-authorized-rolex-dealer/ A genuine watch will always be a genuine watch; I must have ordered and handled over I guess 50 reps so far mainly HBB, Panerai, Omega, Rolex, Chanel and a few others. I was never really a fan of Rolex to begin with however with time I have developed a certain fascination & respect to this brand which seems to be overpriced for what it is really but since I am a marketing executive I am fascinated how Rolex was able mind you huge marketing funds to build this premium brand image among the general consumers. The Rolex brand remained a classic even an iconic watch that remains current from one generation to another. I have noticed that the Rolex is extremely strong mainly a status symbol in North America especially in the US. On my previous Disney vacations to Florida (Disney Dream Cruise, Polynesian & Grand Floridian Resorts), Rolex=Success. I saw them everywhere even women….In Europe you will see a lot more HBB, Lange, Glashutte, IWC, JLC …etc. To be honest besides the HBB V1 I was let down by all of them with my unrealistic expectation from a replica watch…Call me crazy but I always managed to find barely noticeable irregularities which drove me nuts!!! and I have learned time after time to trust, appreciate and become even a friend with BK’s Garage (Bert). As you can see from my previous post, I have owned many of Bert’s offerings and I have to say that every single watch I got without exception was beyond my expectations. Good components are 1/2 the formula. Putting together the components is the other 1/2, which entails extreme patience and extreme attention to details. This is precisely where Bert shines, offering you a bullet proof watch that rivals with the real one. What you get is an amazing value since you get superb customer service, genuine Swiss clean reliable movement, Swiss standards fit and finish and as a bonus pressure tested to 3ATM for peace of mind J I waited well over 6 months for Bert’s TW LV which I have been wearing every day for the last few months and I still get weekly compliments everywhere I go. The fit & finish is nothing short that being a Swiss factory standards! That is how good it is… So for my 40th birthday coming up soon, I decided to pull the trigger on a FRANKEN classic sub: The Rolex 16610 The latest geuine rolex crystal with AR on cyclop Genuine rolex insert Genuine rolex crown Aftermarket tube for genuine crown (wholesaleoutlet990 tube) It took several weeks to assemble and the package arrived at work yesterday. I was so excited like a little kid waiting for this package to arrive, taking delivery and opening it only to be yet once again blown away (is really an understatement)…not a single other watch can touch this one. You will find other alternatives and sources for this sub which are great as well; however they are not clearly a winner over the TW sub because of the shorter bezel teeth, poor pearl, so-so SELs, distorted cyclop with over magnification…etc. I always felt that Franken is a waste of time and money especially when modding is literally skies the limits! I feel now that a Gen insert is definitely worth it because the pearl is never replicated in a rep/aftermarket insert. It is simply perfect. Gen crown's top face is rather flat as opposed to the TW sub crown's rounded top face. Some quick pics right after oiling and washing it, excuse the not perfect pictures...some to come on the week end Finally, what can I possibly say other than those simple words: Thank you Bert!
  14. 1234

    6263 love

This will be a major major hit and fabulous addition to the geeks...since I haven't seen any rep of this version besides the cheap $40 on Canal street
  15. The date wheel is also sunken on the gen. For the screws try to post a wtb Mickey titanium screws... From the front and from normal viewing distance it looks gen. The only thing left to do afterwards is completing that package with a written guarantee by JC Biver! Enjoy it in good health
  16. Bert's DSSD Noob is one hell of a super rep...scary close to the genuine! The built, fir and finish is scrary and the clasp weight water resiatance, datewheel is impressive with a reliable guranteed and accurate swiss movement. It is a NO BRAINER Here"s mine but i did find it too heavy for my taste, an impressive watch to say the least. A member on Repgeek did a direct comparaison with his geuine and it was overwhelming how close it was...unless you are a die hard geek or gen owner who knows excatly what to look for upon extreme close inspection...i would challenge anyone to tell them apart from normal viewing disctance, even the engraving on the back is superb
  17. Finally I will be getting a fully assembled TC sub with clarke, superlumed dial and hands and it comes with a new TC bracelet. This would also be the V series sub TC/WM9 V4...ready to wear and enjoy, I cannot wait since in the end we are all geeks looking for that same illusive dream of the perfect sub lol
  18. Wear it proudly and in good health... Here's its twin sister
  19. Amazing...especially with that green bezel, blending in perfectly in it's natural surroundings!
  20. I forgot that the buyer will have to assemble the watch unless you can pay a premium to have it delivered done already...then again to me Bert = Value Regardless geeks have an option to consider... You always do get what you pay for as he explained it so well himself: Quote: I hope this clears why I charge more. It's for work/mods that I have to do. Some people seem to not realize this point about my pricing. Now you know. But that is not to say I'm non-profit. My prices are always the same as other dealers' + my labor. If I don't do more than the next dealer on a given watch, my price is practically the same as the next dealer's. If I have to do mods, I always pack a great value in the price so I give you no reason to do the mods yourself from the price standpoint. bk http://www.rwg.cc/to...i/page__st__140
  21. It sounds like fantastic news then...if it will be that good at a cheaper price wow everyone is happy! I cannot wait until it is revealed...
  22. I will wait until the so called TC V5 is released before commenting...it looks promising but I cannot speak yet What I do know is that Bert is an amazing person to deal with and my BK rollies get daily comments and are not modded and have been running like a geuine for months, fully WR...etc. Some fellow geeks start modding with gen parts, I am extremely happy with the out of the box version from Bert. Having said that should you be really anal you could always ask BK for a geuine: Crown, tube, insert...etc and doing so it will be the best watch money can buy after the genuine one. I did see also for those hardcores an offering from BigCrown for AR'ed cyclops! Once you start modding you'll realize there's no limits until your wallet gives in
  23. Jasf2002: I guess after all we geeks have more options to choose from, a I mentioned it above let's wait and see what the end product will be. As we speak BK remains the one to beat especially since TC sub is not clearly a winner over the TW sub because of the shorter bezel teeth, poor pearl, so-so SELs, distorted cyclop with over magnification...etc. Cannot wait for round 2 lol
  24. I cannot speak of what the future may bring however I know facts... I have been collecting reps actively over 2 years coming from the gen world on TZ and have been into reps of HBB and now Rolexes, I will have to say that to this day my daily watch is the one and only out of the box perfect TW Black & LV subs. You see Bert is your only option if you want the next best thing after the geNuine Rolexes. Regarding the TC hype all i have to say with full confidence is the following: TC sub is a wm9 sub. It's great! but it's not clearly a winner over the TW sub because of the shorter bezel teeth, poor pearl, so-so SELs, distorted cyclop with over magnification. If indeed there will be some "Improvements" we will have to wait and see the end results before we say anything so time will tell. As of this day Bert is THE one to beat
