  1. Does anyone know if there is a way of getting an indicative value of a genuine watch on the internet? I have looked at sales sites but of course these are preowned retail and not private sale prices. I want to value (thinking of selling) my Omega 300M Chrono Diver 2225.80.00 but I havent a clue how to value it pre-owned. Thanks I apologise if I am infringing any forum protocols
  2. I cant give an answer to the question but I cant wait for the answer. Great post for me as a newbie Thanks
  3. Thanks mate. You got a nice collection BTW
  4. Hi Helina Thanks for that PM sent.
  5. Thanks alot. I appreciate it. Makes sense now.
  6. Nice watches - wear em well mate. That 250 does it have the 7753 in it? Whats the lume and AR like? Whats the material of the HBB strap?
  7. It is definitely bigger physically, not by much though. The GMT in the pic is laying back slightly whereas the SA is upright. Having said that the watch definitely looks bigger on the wrist I suppose because theres more dial or maybe because of the reduced depth. but certainly everybody who comments on it says it looks a lot bigger than my SA's. Wouldnt wear it up the boleyn! As most of our results recently have left me in shock I decided to wear a Casio G shock!!!
  8. Thanks guys I had a look on Andrews site at your suggestions Panoris, - the J12's look nice, not sure on the HBB bit to angular for my mums taste I think, though I like them. MemberX - thats a nice Omega but I was after something more dressy thats a nice day to day watch, I think. ToadTorrent - Yes they look good the sort of thing I had in mind. Are they a good out the box rep to a cursory viewing by people. Being a rollo it would subject to more scrutiny than a Chanel I guess.
  9. Can anyone tell me thecurrent best out of the box ladies rep, I know nothing on the ladies side of the rep world. I am after something very blingy, sparkly more dressy than day to day. Reliable and as accurate as can be got out of the box Its for a present for me Mum for Crimbo. Budget wise upto around $400 Thanks in advance
  10. Helina Thanks for the explanation. I misunderstood the process myself I wasnt aware how long it took I ordered on the 26/10 but only got pics on Monday so I have another three weeks to wait, I dont mind if I get the product you are recommended for, (its my first orders). Unfortunately on one I got the wrong strap and the other has dial flaws. I have emailed a few times but I have'nt had an update . Also can you confirm if watches are disassembled when they are shipped to UK as hotbody77 posted previously? I ask as this has implications on the QA process. Again I mean this as feedback not criticism, hopefully the wait will be negated by the product. PS could you let me have an update on my emails regarding my orders (1147).
  11. So this is my first try at taking and posting photos of a watch. And I have to start by saying I take my hat off to you guys who regularly do! I just thought take a pic and off you go but no, even with the tutuorial on here I found it difficult. The lighting the position the focus everything then you got to edit and load em. Now - when I look at some of the photos posted on here especially the macros I will appreciate them all the more. Anyway I will get better so apologies to all those camera buffs out there. Need to concentrate on cleaning them more as well!! These are some pics of my Gen Bentley GMT and a Rep GMT I came across from a known dealer on here or RG cant remember now. ( Might Edit later) I havent seen any decent reps of this one yet but I am sure it will come, I think getting the GMT function might be problematic having read other posts though I would stand corrected. The weight of the rep is at least half of the gen. The sub-dials are wrong as there is no chrono on this, The GMT hand is the seconds hand so is continually sweeping unlike the gen. The dial colour is different more of a bright white. The GMT dial is incorrect there arent enough cities. The fonts are all wrong, The case is smaller with incorrect scaling of the crown the GMT pusher and chrono buttons. Generally this is a poor replica but for $100 its a nice watch it keeps good time and for a mineral glass it performs well in glare. It isnt in MHO a rep but more of a tribute!! Its an Asian Automatic Movement (21 Jewel) The last pic is a side by side of the GMT with an SA just for size comparison. Side by side - Rep is on the left Gen in its box This pic dont do it justice the gleam or bling you get off it can be awesome The whole dial looks subdue but you must blame the photographer the watch sparkles The Rep in gen box The Rep This is the Gen next to an SA for an idea of scale. I have had the SA gen and I have to say the GMT just blows it away, yes I know look at price etc, but the way it sits on your wrist, the balance the look the quality its just poles apart!! Also the size of the dial the small bezel makes this watch look so much bigger on the wrist unlike the SA which does look big but that size is lost somewhat by the bezel and its height on the wrist the GMT is about the same depth as a 6.75 Dont get me wrong I love my SA's but I was so dubious on buying the GMT as I have had most of the Breitling 48mm's but these photos really dont do it justice, its a great watch. Wheres a great rep and it coming? Thanks for looking (PS I would appreciate any help on my Advanced Search topic in the GD Sub Forum no ones replied yet )
  12. I just read that Eurotimez ship to UK then assemble for shipping out from there. So does anyone know ...are the QA photos taken after they arrive in UK and reassembled or before?
  13. There are a few on the XML on Eurotimez that are still as you described, if I knew how to load mine on here I would. I just cant capture or save the image on their XML.
  14. Another one well off the Vertical and horizontal blimey this is getting contagious!!
  15. We can do with any donation!! Maybe you could arrange a whip round for us on a match day after all there is nothing else to do there during the game! And I've seen your ladies team maybe you should send them down on your Away days they might do bit better!! As for history well I am sure you know the words we have for you boys! I always enjoyed my days down at your lot especially getting silly in the shed! You cant watch to many games cause it aint the football we play thats sh*t its the missed chances and the results!! Reckon your right about our season but the bottom half is still tight so my dreams wont fade and die just yet!! Looks like January we will be shipping out the next batch to the top four!! And as for London clubs then I am with you except for those whose name must never be mentioned - The Pikey C*nts
  16. Could anyone tell me what you mean by 'frail' in this context and why the lugs not being screwed in could make it look so? I tried the glossary but didnt get far. And frail to me means weak, fragile and I cant see that in the pics. Thanks
  17. It would be interesting to know what it went for in the end. Thats some money for a relatively modern watch
  18. It must of gone down again. It was fine last few days. Just try again later. I think it might shut down when they upload new pics etc onto it anyway try later. (make sure you log in and give it some time it can be slow)
  19. Thanks I never realised I could use it on both finishes, thats really useful and saves a lot of messing about for me. So theres no problem with some of the polish getting near the crystal - just make sure you dont rub that area? Do you do that sort of clean regularly or just when its needed? Thanks again
  20. Thanks again. Sorry got confused do you mean wash the caseback/bracelet with warm water before you apply cloth or your hands? When you have a combination bracelet ie, polished and brushed links what tape do you use to mark them off? I was just thinking about residue or do you have another method like a steel scratch pen? Thanks
  21. True mate! we make them, you take them for a shedload, we buy em back for buttons.
