  1. Hotel Eur in Lido di Camaiore is a great place to stay and only a boat ride away- one of the few (affordable) hotels in the area with a pool! The boats leave daily from the pier on the beach and hop between the Cinque Terre villages, which, in themselves are very pretty, but overrun with tourists. We have stayed at the hotel on 3 separate vacations and there are fantastic sandy beaches and an incredible array of reasonably priced to very expensive restaurants there. They have free to use bicycles... Viareggio is less than 10 minutes away by bike and has some superyacht builders in the harbour. Pisa / Florence / Lucca are all on the train line, too.
  2. I have had the SG2 for 6 months now - crap battery life if you use it constantly. I use an application called "Juice Defender" which is superb for extending the battery by switching off the Bluetooth, GPS, 3G and Wireless when it is idle. The extended batteries make it thicker, which defeats the object... Switched from an iPhone, btw.
  3. What crown have you got on it - looks great!
  4. Funnily enough, and typically so, the London 2012 Official Countdown Clock has broken down...must be a cheap rep Not a good sign for Omega, the Official Timing Sponsors http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-12751404
  5. I just received an email from Joshua indicating that site is down for maintenance and will be back later...
  6. Wow - In the UK, a 2006/7 Cayman S (3.4) can be purchased for as little as $29500 (US).
  7. Unscrew rotor, remove. TINY blob of Lithium grease onto bearing race. Work in with pith wood/plastic toothpick. Replace rotor. The grease will gradually works it way into bearing face. Whilst you are at it, take a few photos of the movement to include picture of movement holder "plastic ring" or screwed in tabs...
  8. Lithium Grease - comes in little tubes (or big buckets). Just a tiny smear and work it into the bearing with a lint and dust free piece of pith wood, or a plastic toothpick.
  9. I have worked as a consultant (IT) at HP, Accenture, T-Systems and IBM - no one cares what watch you wear or even notices, unless they are another watch lover. A Sekonda chrono will look a lot like a Breitling Navitimer to most people and they only care about your billable deliverables.
  10. Its a pleasure. Always keen to help out a fellow UK dweller
  11. Repgeek link on repairing Keyless works on Asian 21J. Not worth the hassle, just buy a replacement movement from Cousins UK and change over dateweheel, face, hands with the tools you have. THEN, try and repair the keyless works on the movement that you don't mind messing up http://www.repgeek.com/showthread.php?t=37330
  12. If its a 21J - easier just to replace the movement. If its an ETA (Clone) then repair worthwhile.
  13. Sad men....I own a Breitling, as well as a Boxster and my penis is still intact. I am also not a Hairdresser. Boxster - I can fit my golf clubs in the boot Breitling - ETA are reliable movements. Who cares if they are sold in their millions People who [censored] them off are merely displaying their inadequacy, I would suggest?
  14. If you are in Tel-Aviv, try Sionit - 43 Ben Yehuda 03-5288358. When I was there in June, he had some lovely IWC, JleC classic gens dating from the 50's and might also have had a few reps...
  15. Boxster S daily driver Merc 500SL garage queen (no abs / traction / aircon)
  16. Depends on who you get the watch from...Mine arrive on my doorstep usually 4-5 days after mailing from HK...Royal Mail delivery.
  17. Arthur - The site has Idol in its replica name
  18. Sounds as if rolexaddict has gone AWOL? Probably dropped himself off the forum and joined up again with another name? Ah well, I look forward to his IP address popping up again to give us the benefit of his brilliance... Funny how sometimes the same fish get hooked by the same fisherman, only to be released and then caught again...? Come on rolexaddict, show us your wrist!
  19. Here are some photos...sorry about the dust and poor photography. @ MemberX - The cheapo Asian21J apparently has a case which is not made 1:1 and measures 22mm across the lugs. I ordered the mesh strap separately and was informed by the dealer that it would not fit the 1:1 case housing 2824-2 movement.
  20. Yeah, me neither...I am just waiting for "rolexaddict" to respond?
  21. rolexaddict - Are you anti-semitic, by any chance? What gives you the right to be so prejuduiced and judgemental towards Jewish people? It would be interesting to hear from our Jewish members on this site, and perhaps they could give you the benefit of an intellectual reply?
  22. What I meant was the seller(s) did not have the SOH with the option of the mesh strap...nothing in the inventory.
