really spectacular. the subdials are just beautiful.....don't ever let her go
-
hmmm, no good. just all wrong. send it to me and I promise your shame will never see the light of day again
-
I've gotten some much rarer gen parts from him that are 100% gen
-
He's legit. That's for sure. I don't know enough about the Daytona to comment on the case but Jed is an honest seller
-
If you're looking for a gen great white go to vrf. Not eBay or ioffer or anything like that. You never know what you're getting from those places
-
Not a rail dial and not a gen

maybe I was to hasty. good find in that scratch.

on the bay. item 221311051262
someone please buy this

First link looks a tad loose. Best you just give it to me.
well you know what I paid for this, so NOT A CHANCE BUDDY
-
Even though I am about to part this 5513 out to make room for the 5514, there's nothing like the finish and feel of a gen 93150 with 580s, especially when you pay next to nothing for it.
And yes, I am keeping the bracelet and the case is spoken for. Dial and 1560 movement will end up in the sale section soon.

maker is rolex
-
if I am satisfied with the 5514 case the yuki case is yours.
I got a gen 93150 coming with 580 endlinks that I got for nothing as well. Just need the damn right hands which is going to be a challenge
-
thanks E. got this and waiting on the second to last 5514 prototypes to arrive. One day I will put a pre comex dial in it but for now, this will do just fine if I can find hands to match.
which means my yuki 5513 case will be available soon at a very good price since it is just the midcase and caseback
-
This guy just showed up on my doorstep (wait, I live in an apartment). Not the correct dial for the project i'm putting it in (5514) but it will look stunning in there anyway. If anyone knows or has a set of NOS tritium hands, PLEASE let me know.
-
No doubt. Anyone who take on the effort of providing all of us with a better more affordable product get props in my book.
-
not a fan. whats all the fuss about this dial? not trying to be a d*ck about it, but if you're gonna drop a comex dial in a build, you better be sure its a good one because I ( and mind you I am no expert ) could spot that dial from a mile away

Not sure about that dial. As nice as it may be anyone with any idea what they were looking at would know it's not gen. Look how the depth rating fonts bleed into the outer box of the comex logo. Gen dial has a few millimeters of clear space there. Gen dial also has open sixes which from the looks of this photo this dial does not.
-
and by affordable for a pre comex dial we're talking anywhere between 1k-3k, then there's the hands to match...
-
looking good. agree with Freddy on this. Will def need your case beat to hell for it to feel right. But aint nothing wrong with that
-
Personally speaking... I like it. Nothing says excess like extreme excess.
maybe it will be your next build buddy
unless you have a problem with the whole "one of a kind" thing...
-
Last pre comex dial I found was 2k. Still waiting for seller to respond
-
+1 on what Ubi said
-
Gen 5514 Comex dial? Good luck with that
Better sell your car first
My Grail 5514 Build about to begin...
in The Rolex Area
Posted
Some of you know I have been seeking to build an almost entirely gen Pre Comex 5514 for some time now. After what feels like an eternity of searching, I am happy to report that the build is about to begin.
Here is the parts list, some of these things were VERY difficult to obtain:
- Gen Pre Comex Dial (without a doubt the hardest to obtain, pictured below)
- Gen matching hands
- Gen 1560 movement
- Gen 702 crown/tube
- Gen t19 crystal
- Gen Bezel assembly
- Gen service insert that will be swapped with a Gen period correct insert
- Gen 93150 bracelet with 580 endlinks
- Prototype HH 5514 case and caseback which will go through some light softening this weekend
I am very excited to have this together and have to thank HH and especially dbane883 for their help.
Now onto the dial, which is not perfect, but perfect to me...
