  4. hello, she has kings ladies ym roselium modded (just the works package only) and i did a two tone real gold 14k and put a custom black face diamond dial in it, this one was more money but well worth it cause she isnt as gentle on a watch as i am, lol , she loves them both and they r very classy and not blingy , both have the eta u were asking rob about , and i serviced them immediately and they both r work horses, the ym is about 11 months old and the datejust is only a couple months, i copied and pasted them him in the watch repair section and they r on the other boards as well , under showing some ladies love, and or your lady might get freaky with this one , lol right now i noticed the ym isnt get much wrist time for her since she got the two tone, i think that matches more of here other jewelry the best and she is a school teacher so u know how they r in n.c. they got to dress and keep up with eachother lol

  13. there have been people that cant tell in the pics the difference in cosmetically changing the crown guards i figured i would show some pics of the difference ok just to help u see the differences the pic of the fatter cgs r how they come and the skinnier pointed ones r how they look afterwards ,and the lv is beside a genuine lv and it is one of my first fully modded ones ive done and the last pic is one how they come to u from the dealers ,,also keep in mind i took these pics quick for u so i did not doctor them to make them look even better in the pics , it is as is basically and up close for your enjoyment , enjoy
  14. the last pic is how they come from the dealer and the rest r how i do them two different ways , enjoy these r the more u shaped ones these r the straighter angled cut ones how they come from the dealers
  15. Enjoy!!! live life and smile , new tropic 21 crystal, refinished case, new dial , cleaned up lugholes , put bigger pins for the braclet in it
  16. the only thing this baby needs a bit more bubble to the markers, but the things i posted this for u to see so u dont have to guess anymore , the maxidial , look at the tick marks on the outside edge, do u see the deeper white line at each marker and then the thinner ones in between , this is correct, , see the metal ring around the markers , they r super thin compared to other dials which is more correct, now see the cyclops mag, 2.5X is correct, do u see the etched crown at 6 oclock, if u say no that is correct, u should not see it real good , see the deeper rehaut , this is the metal ring in between the crystal and dial , it is correct here , now on many it is either thin or too deep , ok see the crystal height , it should be raised like that above the bezel insert, see the color green this is hard to capture in the pics but the last pic shows it really well it should be a rich color green not limey like most r or the other way i have seen them looks dark like a jade , see the crown guards how they r thinner , and more pointy , this is correct , now i hope this helps u with your lv questions , that was my purpose if u have any question ask them here so we can get the lv questions answered and or if u have something to add we can discuss that too
  17. sometimes u guys miss out on things that r related to vintage watches so i sent the link over here , i think the photographer did a real great job and the guy that built this watch did a fine job, wonder who it was, oh that darn rbj69 fella , lol , enjoy vintage red sub pics
  18. Well i have been here for over a year now providing u with new stuff to make your watches look better and also other stuff like helping many members with there watch problems, whether it was directly or indirectly connected , movements servicing, gold plating, etc.... OK here some things some should think about , just because u paid little to nothing for a watch does not mean your watch repairman/modifier is going to charge u any less for his time/work , lol what i mean is, we have set prices on things and just because u have a asian movment or a eta movment , the work to service it is the same , so why would u think we should be cheaper on the asian just because u paid a 100 bucks for the watch ? lol truth be known many of the asian autos/chronos take more time to overhaul and or fix , and most of us base our work on time and or certain jobs. This is about me, if u r in a hurry then u shouldnt send your watch to me, u have to be patient (usually 2 to 3 weeks but can be better or worse, just depends on the sitituation ) , i do not rush jobs, and i have many people that desire my work, so i stay pretty busy and or steady at worst, mostly i prefer doing cosmetic stuff and i have been pretty flawless for over a year , there is a reason for that actually, its because i take my time with each piece and i cant and will not zip through it , that is when quality starts to fail and that is when u read threads saying is this right? mine looks different than yours, and etc. i also do movments but i dont do them personally , i have a very competant friend that does them , hence the movment tutorial thread pinned under watch repair ! i also do gold plating, really, just about anything , lol if i havent done it i sure will try it , i love a challenge for sure!! Basically, if u want a rush job and cheaper price and a so so job , i am not your man, this is fun for me and my passion and if u think about it ,u dont see many watches i worked on go up for sale , to me that tells me the people r keeping them and wearing them and most of all enjoying them!!! which makes me feel happy , remember guys i have been doing this stuff for over a year for u and i can count on my hand how many watches i have done during this time that went for sale , (not many) so again i must be doing something right, right? By now many understands me and also understands that i spend alot of my personal time improving things or doing one on one talks helping people do it themselves and i invest in my hobby/passion(my money and time), many times i will buy a genuine just to go mod by, im a man that doesnt believe u can capture the true artistry from a picture on the internet , i also buy many replica watches just to see/know some differences to help guide people in questions like,Whos got the best___? ,many times ,i dont even really want that particular watch , lol its just fun to see and i do it for u guys mostly , and i only use the best tools for the job, (that cost money) , so what im getting at is ,i spend alot of money on trial stuff , projects, tools and just because i like to be versatile and great at what i do , i also have wasted money on many dumb tools and cheap watches and movments and parts , just to see if it was any better (lesson learned u get what u pay for), lol and again i spend alot of working and family time just to make improvments , to make u guys happier with your watches, i think i need therapy , lmao (Omg! i just basically said watches sometimes comes before my family , someone slap me,im sick lol ) Now i would like u to all know i really appreciate u all and love doing stuff and or helping all of u , whether it is using up free time to help u or doing work for u for a fee , to me if it is watch oriented , i love it , so there is no real dumb questions to me , if u couldnt find the answer to your question and u looked and asked others , please dont hesitate to ask me!!! Also i hope to meet u all sometime in the near future , i think it would be fun and educational , now back to work lol , please, this stuff is not pointed towards any one person , just stuff that i think about and wanted to share with u , just a little something about myself and who i am! Sincere, RBJ69(JOE)
  19. this is how i do it ,it does a more accurate hole and then this is what i use the clean it up on the buffer like so showing u in this pic how small the jewelers press really is , remember there is always the right tool to make the job better , that is the difference in oval holes and straight holes , doing it by hand u must hold the case really steady and be careful not to slip this pics is showing u the vise i use to hold the case in place while i drill a very accurate hole , more than likely this is the same way the experts do it then i use a diamond graduated point to ream the hole ever so slightly u dont want it to bevel too much and then i use this buffing wheel to bring back that polished finish remember sometimes the preholes r angled the dril press tends to straighten them out a bit , hope this small tutorial helps u, just trying to do what i can to help u guys out , enjoy
  20. ok many know me by now and know i type as i speak , plain english and no big words , but im guessing now u guys know me and can understand me , well at least i hope u can lol what i will be showing u is how i fix the release mechanism if u push it out of the socket so to speak, this one was pretty bad he bent some things i had to straighten out and piece back together, ok lets start , remember my pointer is the screwdriver ok first of all u take the hands , dial and datewheel off , this is a mbw, so there is glue to tend with and u have to be really careful while taking the dial off or u could bend it pic of the , hands ,dial, and datewheel and top of the movment once removed im pointing with a screwdriver in this pic to show u the release spring for the datewheel u simply push it in to release it , also the big screw underneath my screwdriver/pointer i loosend a bit , reason for that will be coming up this is how it looks when u push the stem release mechanism too hard notice how the sparts r bulging outward now the fix, we have to remove the top plate , remove this screw remember that screw below the datewheel release spring i said earlier u need to loosen but not remove here is why , when u do this it makes it easier to pull the top plate out see the little lip on the top plate , it slides under that plate/big screw i loosened at the datewheel release spring , here is the little lip and where it slides under now u have to loosen this screw and remove this piece , i dont know the correct name for this piece but u can see what im doing in the pic . also where that screw driver is do u see the bend in it, this where the person pushed really hard and bent this piece way on the other side , u really have to push it to achieve this bend lol hey he didnt know and i commend him trying to do some work himself , sometimes trying something is how u learn another shot of the bend at the screw ok now u have to remove the little arm im showing it simply pulls upwards off the post im pointing at now u pull the stem release mechanism out to reposition in its correct place , like a puzzle backside shot of the pusher , this post im showing is what u actually r pushing on to release the stem from the movment now all u do is reverse everything i just showed u and put it back together some key points is in this pic, make sure this arm is around the little post on top of the release mechanism and make sure u push the u shaped spring over to the side of the little metal piece im showing , it is spring action and when u push the stem in and out to change date or time , it helps push the arm up and down after u get everything lined up and positioned correctly , u put your top plate back on like so making sure u slide the little lip back under that plate im showing and tighten that screw and put your top plate back in place and tighten it down this is how it looks with it all in order and as u can see the bent parts r straight and looking good , lol after pushing in and out the stem testing it now u can put your datewheel back on , u have to push in that little spring i showed u at the top to get the datewheel to lock in position now it all works properly , and u can smile and now take a breath of air lol enjoy , i know im not a english major and i never claimed to be, i tried to make it fun and simple for u to understand just wanted u to know if u try this at home u have to have patience and if u r nervous or shakey i wouldnt recommend working on watches lol cheers now for the best part after a job is completed ..... BEEEEEEERRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL
  21. go look at the ladies datejust i did for my misses its nice and not loud, the ladies ym is also nice piece but shiney, and the cartier tank is small and u can fit it with a slightly thicker strap but most come on a nice bracelet and it is quartz less trouble if u ask me lol , if she is like melissa she will need a plastic cover around it lol she is hard on here watches, i treat my like a delicate flower lol
  22. dont laugh i have had several newbie customers just have the dealer send me the watch directly for mods and they never seen it before hand and call me or email me about the same thing that they couldnt pull the stem out so now i tell them to unscrew it first right off the bat lol one guy actually took a pair of pliers to it and tried pulling it out like that with out unscrewingit and put many teeth marks on his brand new fully modded watch lol of course i replaced it for him for free because he made me laugh my ass off telling me about it lol
  23. well i have now worked many dw, and they all seem to have the same problem with the hands, i think the tubes on those subdial hands r made poorly or cheap metal cause one u remove and put them back on they start to push thru the top and the pin goes straight through it , seconds is not as big a deal as the minutes because the minutes when resetting if that hand isnt snugg it will not reset to zero cause it moves from so much spring action, same can happen with the long running seconds, i think it is mainly these newer ones actually , its really a pain in the [censored]
  24. just remember one thing , this movment is very very touchy, im still not convinced it will be a great movment , i have had two now with issues, and they get worse when making adjustments, and this being said i am starting not to like mine , u have to broach the hands to fit , its basically a watch movment put together poorly imho , i feel the lemania is a much better copied asian movment , , just letting u guys know , especially when u start taking hand of and on they get worse and worse faster than any rep i have worked on
