  1. I don't lock mine up; not even my gens. I kow that it is probably bad practice, but I keep mine in a 8+12 winder on my dresser. One of my best friends had a gen Chronomat stolen from his home, and I still do this.
  2. I have BKLM's Asian version. Everything about the watch is beautiful except the movement, but that goes without saying.
  3. [censored]! I completely missed that. How in the hell do you screw that up!?!
  4. I'm NOT a fan of AP or Hublot, but I really like this watch because of the crown guards. It's very unique set up. The caseback and dial color are also turn ons.
  5. There are a TON of "nice pics" to admire in all of them. However, I am a very technical person and I like some actual content to go along with my eye candy. This is why i like Watch Time so much. it is the perfect combination of pictures and information.
  6. C'mon By-Tor, you just added 10 years to my life!
  7. I agree 100% on both counts. The black and white color scheme will NEVER go out of style and will work in a variety of situations. The blue color of the Cousteau is all sporty.
  8. Great review Pug. I like this version of the watch a lot better than the Cousteau. I knew there was a reason I held off on that one.
  9. I was just about to comment on how much I liked the vintage look of the dial, before reading further down. Great catch on the text.
  10. Yeah, I have it sized and have been wearing it most of today. It is pretty sweet, but I think my TT1 will get slightly more wrist time. This one is just a bit dressier due to the polished bezel. Also, it pretty heavy for it's size, which I love.
  11. Thanks for the answer. I asked because I have had two gens in my possession over the past week and a half. I took delivery on my Father-in-laws Ti Seamaster, and I picked up my electric blue Seamaster today. The lume on the gens has a very nice shape, which is slightly humped, and a very light greenish tint.
  12. Genuine goodness! Just picked up the Seamaster from the post office earlier today. I haven't even sized it yet. b
  13. Great looking watch. The white dial Seamasters are always beautiful. Question: Is the lume raised or flat? I'm curious.
  14. Words of the wise, Pug. I'm probably going to committ tonight. Now all I have to do is figure out a way to buy this and keep my Oris Titan.
  15. You might be on to something, but I feel that the Seamaster and PO are in two completely different classes. There are a lot of Omega diver fans out there that can't afford double or triple the price of a PO, myself included. IMO, the current Seamaster styling is borderline classic, and isn't going to go away anytime soon. Besides that, the 1120 movement (modified 2892) is one hell of an engine for the price. I think a majority of the problem is with the bracelet. The narrow portion of the links and the sides of the links should be polised, but someone has brushed the entire bracelet. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it should be fairly easy to repolish these areas DIY, or by a jeweler. This is just a guess, however. Lets just say that, IMO, it is VERY reasonable.
  16. That's what is weird. He has a good post count on a few forums and has is an active seller/buyer/trader. I have been e-mailing him back and forth and his communication is great. He also had an Oris Regulator posted at the same time, which sold. It just seems odd that noone but me wants to buy this Seamaster.
  17. Does anyone want to guess why there seems to be NO interest in this watch? It is listed for sale on several different watch forums, with no replies. The seller seems to be legit, and the description seems to be accurate: "Here is an Omega Seamaster Professional Automatic with the blue wave dial. Watch is in excellent condition and is 95%+. Watch comes with outer and inner boxes, ops booklet, warranty card, and original sales receipt from the AD. The watch was purchased in 06/06 according to the receipt. There are no dings or dents and the case and crystal are 100%. The bracelet has been given a brushed finish overall and looks like new. Please excuse the lint on the crystal. " I REALLY want to pull the trigger on this, but it just seems odd.
  18. How embarrassing.
  19. I have not. However, a quick glance at the link you provided has peaked my interest. I will be reading that in detail shortly. Also, I know how to access these documents on the ETA website, unless they have shut them down in the past couple of months. Actually, I believe that I have the PDFs saved on my desktop. I am assuming that these documents will say what type of oil, the amount, and the location, but how are these oils typically applied and where is the best place to purchase them? Would it be Ofrei, or is there an alternate you prefer?
  20. I would agree with this statement 100% I have a Daytona that stopped after having it about six weeks. It will still run if you give it a gentle stir. I am positive that this is being caused by the lack of lubricant in the movement. I have been searching the new for the past couple of days trying to learn how to properly oil a movement with no luck.
  21. If you're not going to get the black dial, which is my personal favorite, then I would go with the white. The AR is important, but it should not prevent you from purchasing the watch. I love mine (wearing it right now) and have been thinking about sending it out for AR.
  22. Search the internet for "Permabond 910". This is a glue that is used in manufacturing that is spicifically made for bonding metal. It can be purchased in a 1oz. bottle. Believe me, this is as permanent as it gets. It will bond almost instantly and it will not let go.
