( jeff g -- Beautiful watch ) ......... indeed ........... ( cskent69 -- Dude - how do you make these things! ) ....... buy all the parts and use a good professional watchmaker ....... ( 100 -- So beautifully done. Excellent pictures as well. Sell? Let me know!!! ) .......... no way my friend ........... ( DavidBreitling -- Gotta agree, a beautiful piece. Is this a style available only from the Firenze boutique, or a creation of someone's imagination? ) ........... the gen is a limited special edition, homage for panerai boutique firenze. pam781 with number 001 = 3 models in the blue pam box, pam224 Chrono, pam228 gmt, pam 229 luminor, and also as single model in a blue watch box pam224 chrono = 33 models, pam228 gmt = 33 models, and pam229 luminor = 33 models, all models have a blue dial ................ ( 100 -- It's an actual model. Too bad, the rep manufacture managed to got the wrong spelling on the caseback. Paneria instead of Panerai. ) ............... take a look on the caseback image, on top is written correct officine panerai, and within the boutique engraving is written very small officine paneria ............ ( jitai -- Very nice... ) ............. indeed ............. ( dluddy -- that's a beauty Rolli. I really like this model -- Beautifully finished ) ................ this was a project for long time, i've already bought this case set last year, and two weeks ago my watchmaker started the modification, the dial has an amazing blue color / shade, with the different lighting conditions it looks sometimes black and sometimes deep blue and sometimes light blue metallic, also the lume power is great ................... ( ubiquitous -- Nicely done, as usual, rolli! I do have to wonder where you find the time to wear all your PAMs! Cause you've got a ton of them built and at your selection... ) ............... it is a question of the mood and which strap / pam winged my day ............... ( lanikai -- Gorgeous Rolli.. great to see your awesome images back on the boards !! ) ................ you know your boss did say it.....WE CAN..........always the best as far as possible ................. ( asimplefarmer -- gorgeous!!! I know I can definately appreciate it because I have the GMT version the 228 ) ............... when i get the right information from the maker, the inner case measurement, and that a gen valjoux 7754 gmt movement can be installed, then the next purchase is for sure the 228 gmt ............. and thanks guys for the kind words.... rolli

Vintage Angelus-based Panerai - Are they as rare as I think?
rolli replied to Watchmeister's topic in The Panerai Area
agreed......is correct what he said. rolli -
here you can see the crown of the new pam028 release 2009. the bevel is very small. this kind of crown style is what i prefer, and not with rounded bevel and edges. rolli

here in my topic pam 195 you will see many interesting combos with a pvd pam. and take a look in the topic 004, or see all my pvd models. link: http://www.rwg.cc/members/Pam-195-Pvd-Coup...tml#entry365879 rolli

haahhaa D........... you say all your points that makes fun....??????????????????? waiting............?????????????????? i hate to wait..........hahahaa......... rolli

titanium and pvd are not polished and looks much better. but.......all have a too much bevel. i think in the crown-fabrication they cannot control the precision of the bevel. that's a chinese manufacturer. and the galvanic process makes all edges and the bevel extreme rounded. that's a very big minus-point. and another point is, the teeth are too pointed, better it would be a light flattening, not sharp-edged. rolli
-
i think the polish procedure is made in connection with a galvanic bath. micron-parts of the steel-crown will be degraded. that's why the crown-teeth profile and bevel are rounded. the palp cown is not polished by a galvanic process. rolli
-
wrong or not wrong. for me..... it doesn't matter.... the 2,1 mm palp crown looks very good and have a great feeling. and for the overall view it has a better balance between the crown-guard and case. that's why i would to plead in favour of the 2,1 mm t_48_crown. rolli
-
i would prefer a t-48 upgrade crown with 2,1mm wideness. rolli

<<<<< Some clarification on the new 318 from Sig. Bonati >>>>> I am reading about the new watch Pam 318. In order to not create confusion, I want to tell you that this watch was created in order to honor the New York Boutique opening. The movement is a little bit different than the other because of some components. I remind you that we did something similar with Firenze. This watch is reserved for USA Boutiques. Have fun Angelo Bonati ________________________________________________________________________________ BRIDGE FACTS The Brooklyn Bridge opened to great fanfare in May 1883. The names of John Roebling, Washington Roebling, and Emily Warren Roebling are inscribed on the structure as its builders. Construction began on January 3, 1870. The Brooklyn Bridge was completed thirteen years later and was opened for use on May 24, 1883. The Brooklyn Bridge might not have been built had it not been for Emily Warren Roebling. Most history books cite her father-in-law John Roebling and her husband Washington Roebling as the bridges builders. Early into construction in 1872, however, collapsing bridge timbers crushed John Roeblings legs, leaving him incapacitated; he later died of an infection related to this injury and left his son, Washington Roebling in charge of the bridge. However, not long after taking charge of the bridge, Washington Roebling suffered a paralyzing injury as well, the result of decompression sickness. This condition plagued many of the underwater workers, in different capacities, as the condition was relatively unknown at the time and in fact was first called "caisson disease" by the project physician Dr. Andrew Smith. With both men out of commission, Emily Warren Roebling took over. Under her husbands guidance, Emily had studied higher mathematics, the calculations of catenary curves, the strengths of materials, bridge specifications, and the intricacies of cable construction. She spent the next 11 years supervising the bridges construction.
