rolli
921 and 917 are 0.2mm different in size and a bit bigger as Unitas and 0.2mm higher as Unitas.you can use a 6497 dial with small second hand on 9 o

we all know that there are different crowns shapes, but the question was before t started the crown order, how many teeth.
rolli
I am not sure that I understood "but fact is that nobody and especially the 60 teeth assertor didn't check by this method." completely but my point is not that the 60t might be correct. My point is just that there are different crowns.. -
TH... we know that already.
but fact is that nobody and especially the 60 teeth assertor didn't check this by this method.
rolli
Look, it wasn't in my intention to insult you and if I did I apologize for that. You are not retarded. This is a picture with all the crowns from the link on last page. There are exactly 17 red points on each of the 2 crowns on the left all on top of a tooth. You decide..
Attachement is the same as pictured above but in bmp format.
-
v.... it's very simple to see and to count it from the picture.
otherwise you can zoom it with photoshop.
the visible part of the crown has 19 teeth.
that means 19 on top and 19 down = 38, the teeth behind the crown-guard left and right are not so much.
that means this crown has 48 teeth.
rolli
and conratulations being able to see from photos how many teeth exactly the crowns have. Because me the retarded I couldn't count properly the one i have in front of me. -
ha... the punisher is back....
rolli
thanks Vit were nice if we had discuss this earlier
it is funny that we all have not noticed the 48-52-60 teeths issue...
but the next run will be definitively with 48 teeths... but with a higher price as punishment for our silly mistake

great job.

deleted, it was wrong...

for me are all 52 teeth crowns 100% fake and not gen.

you can almost every material coat with the pvd process.
the pam case parts which i get for coating are stainless steel parts.
the color is dark anthracite.
here 3 images.
rolli
do you mean they are steel - beadblasted and than PVD coated?which color PVD? dark black?
anyone have pictures of genuine PVD crown???
-
steel crowns for 1,2mm stem.
together with the cases they get first the granulate / glass / ceramic bead-blasting, but only on the knurling part.
then altogether the pvd coating.
all parts get a special attachment for the pvd machine cell/ chamber. this cell/chamber is rotary.
the crown get a stem as attchment.
rolli
i have a question about the PVD crownsare they for Unitas with 1.2mm stem?
are they steel and PVD plated? or Titanium and PVD plated?
are the PVD crowns brushed or polished?
-
each has 48 teeth............for good order's sake....
rolli
I've taken a pic that I hope may help. Top is an auto, bottom left is an A HW, bottom right is a B HW. BTW, I really don't care how many teeth they have so long as it fits properly. -
never.....
it's a fact.
mr. ferretti ( also well known as ferretti straps ) is a well known collector in italy,
and he bought the complete old panerai stock from signora panerai.
only VanniC from italy has the permission to sell the parts.
and i cannot believe that ferretti or vannic sold the crowns to the turkish guy for under euro 50,--
i think the turkey crowns are fake.
rolli
Just makes me wonder now how gen are the Turkish's 'gen' crowns on ebay -
-
whats that for a question.
you know the price.
rolli
Hi, I'm not fussy. How much for the "bad" type!!Joe

thats the right way for the 3646 modification.
but you have to install the h3 cannon pinion. the hands are too close on the dial.
otherwise it's a really nice piece.
but not forget, larger view of that piece.
