  1. If you are talking about gens, the answer is that all auto pam's have a sandwich crystal with a whole in the bottom layer and the cyclops glued to the top level of the crystal. It improves magnification and allows for better hand clearance. If you are referring to reps most of the current ones which are labeled "ultimate crystal" or just "ultimate" are sandwich crystals as well. Magnification is obviously not as good as gen but it is an improvement over the one layer construction.

Thank you for your response........Cheers, wan

  2. I am trying to buy the best rep pam127 case set you can buy. I understand that its an Eddie Lee 127 case. I know that you want the case where the movement and dial would be removed through the top of the watch, "through the top crystal side" Can someone show me in pics how you can tell if you have one of these cases? "I know that there is an arrow or triangle somewhere but i do not know where to look?" I always thought all you would need is a 117/1950 case set to have the best but i guess that has now changed? From what i understand, "the rep makers are now putting the 117/1950 casebacks on case sets where you must remove everything through the caseback" I am not sure why that is so wrong but hopefully someone out there can explain why and what makes Eddie Lee's pam127 case the best? Thank you for any help. Cheers, Wan

  3. I am just curious if anyone has used the rep watch sellers (www.swissgallory.com)

The reason i ask is because i heard someone mention it and also i just found out my brother just ordered a watch from them and i hope he did not use a scam site? They took PP which is a good sign, but other than that i know nothing about them. Does anyone have any expierience dealing with them or know anything about them? Anything would help? Thanks, W

  4. The 1 thing here that IS interesting is that Honpo's dial got the font right on the 3. The only problem is that they got the right 3 on the wrong totalizer (only the minute totalizer should have the long-tailed 3)

Another step forward, another step back. Can you say 'stabbing in the dark'?

One thing i noticed from the gen pic to rep is the sub-dial hands on the gen look all silver in color and the rep sub-dial hands are black and silver. This could be a minor thing, i just thought i would share what i noticed. Thank you all for your input. So Fredy, do you have a way to deal with Honpo? If so, please PM me or if you can build and sell something like this please PM me also. Thanks again, Wan

  5. OK Firstly I hope you understand that these are not very accurate replicas the dial is very wrong as they should be the hollowed out type FGD style and not the sausage that is on the rep.

Secondly as far as I know these have not been made for quite sometime and the one I got was from a forum sale here on RWG a while back.

Thirdly, this is not a board recommended dealer, I know there have been some who have used her but I have not and it cannot be guaranteed in any shape or form.

    You could try THIS

    ST4

just noticed that Tony Watcheden apparently has them as well, a bit more expensive but a safer bet I guess

Thanks ST4, i will look at the sites you recomended. Hopefully FGD might make a 205A dial, that would be nice. I will probably get one of the lesser versions to get my quick fix but i would sure love to have a spot on 205A. Its one of my grail's at the moment. Thanks again, Wan

  6. Do any of our sellers sell a 205A? I could not find anyone who sells a 205A exept Eta Honpo. If anyone knows where i can source one from one of our sellers please PM me, or if by chance you might have a 205A dial or whole watch you want to sell, please PM me OR, if you or you know someone who deals with Eta Honpo and can possibly order me a watch from them "with comission ofcourse" Please PM me.....As you can see, i am on the hunt for a 5218-205A Its the new thing that keeps me up at night..............Please any help? Thanks, Wan

  7. Hello, if you go to this link-

And then scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on the Daytona at the bottom left, "its the one that sells for Y3,000,000" ref#6241 ss Its the most expensive watch they sell i believe.

Can someone tell me why this watch is so much $? I understand that it looks VERY nice and the movement looks like the real thing minus a couple of very minor things but Y3,000,000 is like $25,000 or something.

Can someone please explain to me if this 6241 cosmograph rep is as good as it can possibly get or waht? How close to gen is this rep? Thanks, Wan

  8. I know that a large double sided eraser works fantastic for taking out swirls and scratches on titanium but i am curious if it will do the same for stainless steel? I already know about and have a cape cod polishing cloth and it works fine but i am so tempted to try the eraser but i dont want to screw up the finish. I want to polish up the SS bezel on my HBB, what would do the best job besides the cape cod? Thanks, Wan

  9. I did see that you could buy a "what they call" genuine Nokia assembled in China for $550 or so (plus shipping) but i just don't trust a genuine Nokia not assembled in Finland so i went for the replica, which i suspect might be the same thing.. The $1,500 price i mentioned was just a price i saw when i used Google to search for the phone, i know it's more expensive than most but i just wanted to use as a comparison. As for the reviews.....My gen 8801 got not so good reviews but the phone was still great so i don't really care.....Plus, it's a replica.......Cheers, Wan

  10. I ordered 2 rep Nokia 8800 sapphire arte mobile phones that arrived today and i must say, WOW!!!! they are way better than i expected......The phones look and feel like the real deal. I have had a genuine Nokia 8801 as my phone for the past two years and these rep Nokia's really seem close to the gen as far as the way they feel. The rep 8800 sapphire arte's are not 3G like the genuine but neither is my 8801 so i dont miss it. Also, the camera on the rep's are better than the camera on my 8801 so i love that! The phones are working fine with my T-Mobile card so im loving that also. I picked these phones up for $255 a piece which i think is a pretty nice deal considering i saw a gen one selling for $1,500 on the web...I'll play with them some more and post some pics as well as more comments on the phone later.

    Cheers, Wan
