  1. Im just curious if anyone has suggested repping a Panerai pam98 GMT alarm? which to me would be a great never repped pam..........I know alot of people want to see diffrent brands of watches but in my opinion pam reps have always been the most refined reps and that pam98 sure is a looker. If its too late to submit then its just part of my wish list...............Cheers, Wan

  2. I agree with many points everyone has raised.........I think the two biggest are first: There are so many factories that they all are making there version, which makes it hard to get better.

second: I think its like computer companys or any tech company, you put out the first generation and just upgrade every 6months or so. Like the i-pod, unless you waited until recent to buy one.....You have the old version, and are ready to upgrade..................Also, i think if there was a factory that made absolute perfect reps of Rolex and Panerai, the fear of the companys coming after them would make them hold back just a bit so the people who could tell the diffrences could share there info. That way with a bit of knowlege anyone can detect a rep from gen. "as it is now"..........If the reps were too good to tell without opening them up? "like it seems some might get in the near future" That makes me want to buy a gen, only at an AD...........There will always be the guy who will be fooled, but what if reps started fooling the informed people like us?......(Half of me says "bring it on" and the other half says "dont sell it that way, just let me mod it that way").......I like Modding my 95% accurate rep into 99.99% gen looking and i hope they dont take that away from me.................Thanks, Wan

  3. The ten with gens dont care what is said..........I have gens and reps and enjoy both but there is nothing like the way my gens make me feel, if you called it a fake i'd just wink..............If you called my rep a rep? I would probably ask, why do you say that?....."just to see if they know what they are talking about,".........................I myself would never call anyone out unless they were trying to sell it as genuine............"but thats not to say i am calling you out inside my head.".................Cheers, Wan

  4. Those damn screws holding that piece of crap strap on were worthless......I just had to rip the strap off.................I am having Aarontan make me a genuine gator strap for this and then it will be a beauty........If you do the same i would have Aaron make the strap with enough room in the holes in the strap (to screw it on) to fit a set of panerai stainless strap tubes.......Because if you buy a set of the 24mm pushpin panerai strap pins,(the ones that look like a screw head on one side and a pin on the other) they will work perfect to hold a strap on the santos 100 chrono..........After my new genuine gator strap is made and arrives i will post a pic of how they should have looked to begin with..............Thanks, Wan

  5. I want to get a genuine looking strap for my navitimer without having to buy a genuine strap......its a 22mm.....................What is the best most genuine looking aftermarket strap i can buy but still use the deployant buckle that came with the watch?.........I want a black strap.......(If you have what im looking for PM me)............Or if you can just point me in the right direction....Thanks, Wan

Thank you Pugwash.........so these straps look more genuine than the Breitling rep strap, Right? i assume so being i feel you know what you are talking about.........Thanks,Wan

  7. Okay, the pam63 just arrived and is supposed to be a swiss eta 2836-2....When i opened the caseback just now everything looked as it should (small gold movement) but the automatic spinning piece did not say "twentyfive jewels swiss made" on it. Instead the piece said panerai all over it.(i do see the eta symbol where it should be and 2836-2)........Everything else looks just like a swiss eta 2836-2 i have seen in pics exept the spinning piece not saying "twentyfive jewels swiss made" and the words panerai over and over on a small piece on the spinning part of the movement.........Do you think this is still genuine swiss eta or a new Chinese copy?...................Please let me know if anyone else has seen this?............Thanks, Wan

  8. We would love some photos, my cousin has asked me about this rep as well.

for very reasonably priced crock straps check bob on ebay

for top notch custom made to your liking i recomend HKTAN

Hey Phoband, just PM me and leave your email adress and i will send you some pics of the 100 chrono...........(i have a hard time posting pics on the site).......after i send them to you feel free to post here.......Thanks, Wan

  9. I have a genuine pam000 and after wearing it, all other pams (my reps) look too busy.............Everyone i know that gets into pams end up wanting and or getting a pam000 eventually no matter what they get first......Its a poor mans 201A.........The lines on a pam000 are the best in my book..........Who really needs a second hand? + that logo is nice........Also, after the recent price jump.....The 000 is the only one thats still somewhat affordable.........If not the 000 then the 112 but the 000 rocks my world.............Whatever you get, none of these reps really compare to the real thing....(that does'nt mean that i dont have 12 rep pams i love and still wear time to time).........I sure hope all the pam000 gushing helps make your mind up..............Good luck, Wan

  10. You know, i think the buckle is genuine......I think the buckle used to be a PVD logo buckle that has had the PVD coating polished off............I did that to a Dirk second generation with a PVD logo buckle with the same exact results..(same strap too)......I even sold it on p-risti a couple of months ago.....I sold it cheap, for like $135 or something...........Its a small world so it might be it, and if it is......Its genuine..........cheers, Wan
