  1. It also helps if you take a 10 second exposure.
  2. Thanks, everybody. I'm glad that there's some Tudor love here, unlike that other site. Here are the specs: rep Daytona 116520 case gen dial and hands swiss 7750 DW 6263 Daytona bezel (it fits!) Clark 118 (I'm not a fan of sapphire crystals) Here's another Tudor I put together: specs: • gen dial • gen hands • rep case (I think it may be a Yuki) • rep bezel insert • Clark 125
  3. If, according to George, a 2836 is a 1:1 swap with a 2842, then why wouldn't a 2824 also be a direct swap? All the lignes check out. What about stem position?
  4. I have an old watch with a 2842 that has died. What movement would be a replacement?
  5. I got the movement to stay in place by stacking clips, as Justasgood suggested. After placing the hands, I've found out that my movement is basically dead. The chrono doesn't work and the seconds hand doesn't tick away. Yet, the hour and minute hands keep time. I think I've had it for this project. Maybe somebody else would like to take over? On the other hand, this project went smooth as butter...
  6. The DW case is meant for a gen 7734, which is what I have (complete with 45min totalizer). The problem I'm having is that the movement sits too low inside the case which makes the groove on the case for the clips too low. No matter what clips I use, there is never enough pressure exerted on the movement to hold it in place. I think my case may have a manufacturers flaw.
  7. Its been 2 months now and after 5 different types of clips, none seem to work with the DW 7032 case that I got. Please show me the type of clips that you used to hold your movement in place.
  8. Does anybody know where I can get a set of hands similar to those on the Mark XV? This is the non-Spitfire model. The seconds hand is white too. I'll be fitting these to a 2824.
  9. I'm glad you like the dial. Good job!
  10. Sweet deal! There's a lot of fakers. This one is LEGIT!
  11. I managed to get the 7734 working again. Still frustrated with the movement clips issue. I'll try one more thing and if it fails, then I'm done with this project. Perhaps somebody knows of a rep-friendly watch repair person in the Toronto, Canada area?
  12. Well....my movement clips arrived and they didn't work. But, what's worst is that my 7734 decided to die on me. So, I think I'm going to give up on this project and pass along these frustrations to somebody else. I will be selling my DW 7032 kit (case, dial, hands) and non-working 7734 (45 min totalizer) over on that other RWG site. My nick there is "Speedzmaster." You can PM me there. I'll be posting the FS probably on Sunday. This project is far too costly!
  13. Yes. Tudor 2784 is no different than a Swiss 2784, other than the main plate being stamped "Tudor Geneve."
  14. We're talking about rep clothing. Not watches. If you think the quality in rep clothing is the same as that of rep watches, then, if I may so quote my new friend Jkay, "You fail!"
