  1. Well, if anyone is so disgusted with their Jumbo Nautilus that it pains them to see it, please send it to me. My left wrist is already occupied with my blue face Jumbo, but I do have a right wrist open, as well as two ankles. Bonus points if one of you wants to surrender a black faced Jumbo as it would afford me some variety.
  2. I cant believe you guys made it through almost two pages without mentioning THE greatest live album.
  3. dont know about those, but red envelope has some tank-style movements for $125
  4. maybe I'm just unlucky, or perhaps the conventional wisdom is wrong - but i have run into more than a handful of 'ristis and TZers. only one was a WIS, but all have noticed what i was wearing & struck up a hobby-related conversation. i think your odds go up based on the industry you work in and the size of the city you live in. i purposely keep a very low profile and only remark about what i have if asked. watches never leave my arm.
  5. I picked up a tan Paci XII this week for a Ti PAM036. Holy Smokes its NICE! Never knew a strap could be this good.
  6. what does the back look like on the Jumbo Nautilus? Solid or Display?
  7. Everyone that starts a v72 6263 has lots of stories to tell. I sure do. I wont bore you with all of my fits and starts. Instead let me tell you what I've got and then pass on some significant thanks DW Case, pushers, and hands Updated DW dial on a Singer base Timeman Bezel and Insert Gen Crown and Tube Gen Tropic 21 crystal Gen Oyster Bracelet 78350 (solid sides) CWP fabed 571 end links NOS 726 from a Certina that still has all of its tags on it. My only request is that if you see something wrong - Don't point it out. I love it, but I'm neurotic just like you guys. Don't make me do anything else to it, please! Couple of thank you's: Avitt & Ubi - Thanks for the advice, and all of the great posts here. I was able to learn a lot from just reading your topics and replies. Rob: What can I say? A true gentleman. Rob has now worked on 6 of my watches, all perfect. Four of them are chronos: an Asian 7750, a Venus/Seagull, a V72, and a v726. This most recent transaction was the first time I was able to talk to Rob live. He's just as genuine and helpful real-time as he is on our bbs. Rob, you're real asset to our community. This one was my dream watch from when I first got the watch bug some 30 years ago. I saw my first 6263 when I was a kid walking though Neiman Marcus at the Houston Galleria during the crazy oil boom days. I never thought I'd own one. Now I more or less do. Dream come true. My Daytona is pictured next to my other childhood dream - but it's not a rep......
  8. take a look at the venus powered 5070. the standard size nautilus is really nice, even though you mentioned that you arent considering it. i dont have any experience with the various calatravas. the gold tone always scares me.
  9. avit: yep, I did remove a lot. The backstamp "571" is still intact, but I shaved almost all the way to the numbers. Of course, I had a two prong strategy: i also ordered a pair from Mike Young.
  10. Old topic, but I saw the discussion on the 571's so I thought I would throw in my work-around. My 571s didn
  11. He's always seemed nice, but honestly I feel a little taken advantage of - especially hearing the turn around times you guys received. I'm sorta freaked out about posting anything because I cant fix it myself.
  12. For Nonskeder & Denise - How long did it take for Joe to return your watches?
  13. Hi Neil. Any luck on the Jumbo Nautilus? I had to cut back to one cup of coffee a day because the excitement for the watch + my normal caffeine intake was too much for my system to handle.
  14. That movement looks familiar. Rob you're the best. I've learned so much about watches through your posts and chatting with you 1 on 1. You're truly one of the "Good Guys"
  15. great news. That Jumbo Nautilus is calling my name. Or maybe its the other way around....
  16. B.S. Economics B.A. Public Affairs MBA - Marketing & Finance all three from UT-Austin \m/ I do M&A and Strategic Planning work.

  18. VJ72 Daytona 6263. Sorry for the pic. It's the best that my phone can do.
  19. I forsee a future for you that includes a research dissertation on price elasticity for newly released replica watches..... Congrats!
  20. It's an easy fix. Use a drill press rather than a Dremel or free hand. Use lots of cutting oil. Go slow..... wait..... that's lug hole advice. Sorry. My bad.
