check out that white plastic lever right in the middle of the movement. I believe the Speedy Moon Pro has a similar component, but replaces it with a metal part on the display back version.

I stopped looking for anything rational about this hobby a long time ago. Its an obsession, what can I say? the 6263 was my boyhood deam watch - dating back to seeing the gen in Houston's Galleria some 30 years ago. Very hard for me to pass up the opportunity to build a near perfect 6263 - even if I spend more than I did on my gen Speedy Moon Pro.

WOW! you're right. the logo is off. Seems like that will be an easy fix for Davidsen.

Maybe my eyes are deceiving me, but when I see doopey's side profile picture and then V's post on the case - I'm not so sure that Davidsen's case is far off. The bezel profile appears to be correct & the corners of the case appear to slope down like the gen. Am I right?

OMG..... It was as simple as popping out the rings. Thanks Ubi. My DRSD thanks you too. Avitt: I tried drilling them out which I first started the project. I really mangled the bottom of the link with the needle nose pliers. It was probably user-error. ;-) I sincerely appreciate both of your responses .

If I look really hard, it appears that the dial font has a slight serif. That would be a good thing.
