The Yachtmaster looks reasonable, but the bezel looks nothing like the or anything like the usual reps from our dealers.. I wonder what it's made of?

I had a good look at the gen Yachtmaster in my local AD, and really I couldn't notice the shimmer.. It could have been the lighting, but I think the "shimmer" effect has been over-reported. Perhaps my local AD is selling reps The bezel looks much better, but the dial (compated to my EL version) looks ok, apart from the missing markers under the "swiss made". Ubi's dial project might cover this aspect, as otherwise the EL is close to the gen.

What / Where / When will the next Generation of reps come? I'm thinking of primarily Rolex reps.. but I know you guys that love those chunky rambo Italian watches will read this too I've only been here a short time, but I've seen mention of the fact that the reps seem to improve with each generation.. What I'm wondering is what improvements we will see next, and when do you guys speculate we'll see the next generation of reps? Most of the Rolex reps and many more (non-chrono's) with swiss movements come with the 2836-2. Reading through the helpful posts from The Zigmeister, it appears that there is an improved 289x series. Will this be something that will appear more and more in new reps as time goes by?, or will the focus be more upon replicating the look and feel of gens?.. perhaps the next generation of reps will be replicating the next generation of the genuine models? All you expert rep collectors opinions and views (and perhaps hopes for the future of reps) are most welcome!

Oh, that's nasty.. A special word of mention should go to the dealer (whoever it is!). I've only ordered 2 reps, and had no problems with UK customs. Rep1 - Eddie Lee YM, Direct from TW no problems. Rep2 - Josh Daytona, Direct from China no problems The rep from Josh was much more expensive, and was shipped smuggled inside an electronic kids toy (a barbie toy whooooo!).. Very innovative, and appreciated

PayPal is far too focused on the customer. I've lost hundreds of pounds to idiots complaining about the smallest thing. Thankfully I don't sell objects as high-priced as reps. The most I have been stung for is £50 (app $100). I feel your pain!

Nice rep.. the font does look a bit iffy, but otherwise a great one! My own YM from Eddie Lee is about 15-20 secs fast per day.. It is a rep remember, not a gen rolex movement

I've toyed with the idea of an account or even a RWG collective ebay account for just sending messages to the current winning bidders, informing them that the watch they are about to pay for is actually a fake. Reporting auctions to ebay is a bit hit and miss.. sometimes they act, sometimes they dont

That's a nice rep!.. I'm very happy with my YM from Eddie Lee. The dial is missing some detail, but for my mind the actual EL dial colour is closer to the gen (from what I saw from my visit to the AD) than the one from Trusty. I may be wrong though!

From what I heard the Gen YM doesn't click.. Does anyone on this forum have a Gen Yachtmaster to check this out?
