  1. Thanks Linder and Phoband! Gr8 to be here! I second everythingape !! I must have done lots of things right to find this forum!
  2. How come nobody hugged me when I became a member--fulll year with renewal to boot . . JUST KIDDING! I LOVE IT HERE
  3. Reading forum topics for IWC GST Ti has sent me down the road of confusion... So are there two different versions of this thing? Or is there one version? I'm most concerned about the movement.. I prefer the new 28,800 bph 7750 mov't if possible Also, the thickness is listed different on Paul's site vs Andrew's and Perfect-Clones I'm confused.. help!
  4. TTK, which one's mine? (Please let it be the new one )
  5. Replying to my own post... he's right.. the serial matches perfectly to the reps Ebay Auction Link
  6. Auction link/ item number for our viewing pleasure?
  7. That's soo not for me.... yikes.. I'll end up scratching the crystal
  8. What an interesting result! I am amazed at how easily I fit into the larger percentile of people who are considered WISes. Yes, I do use both my left hand and right at the same time (I play piano)--and I have a stringent requirement for automatics only due to sheer fascination of the movement and the intrinsic joy of knowing that one of mankinds mechanical marvels is sitting on my wrist.. I am too self-reflective sometimes it bugs me ... uh oh I'm starting to sound like chris' paper But, it is indeed an interesting study--best of luck to you Chris!
  9. Anyone knows of some? For those 'qwik fixes' if ya catch my drift
  10. I just noticed today that the printing on the chapter ring between the 11 and 1 hour markers are 'faded' unevenly as if their printer ran out of ink And it looks ..well.. ugly Or maybe I'm just too picky Comments? Experiences? Any suggestions on how to fix this? sigh... seems to be unlucky rather. I just got this too and it seems to be fraught with problems.. first the bracelet clasp wont click, then the 6 o'clock chrono hand has a tiny spot, and then this.. these reps need more QA :D ..or I need to be luckier (and less picky muhahaha)
  11. I agree; I think eBay takes into consideration if it receives more than one complaint e.g. more users complain about the same item as fake. In this case the decision will be swift. Report from one account may not do much, but multiple reports from multiple accounts will have a greater impact IMHO
  12. Ebay is responsive for 'certain' stuff, for example copyright-related issues. Note that fast for ebay is still around a day or two--so if the auction is closing in a day, they won't 'get around to it' as they say
  13. No problemo Glad I could help with my limited knowledge
  14. AFAIK, all automatics go "tick tick tick tick" like that The second hand ticks 5 or so per sec giving it a sweeping feel. ETA Swiss automatic generally speaking has better quality than the Asian counterpart. There is an article here somewhere describing in detail the differences.
  15. Just got my Tag Link Chrono with some bracelet problems, but going to be resolved soon I hope There are 2 buttons lets call the top button button A, and the bottom button button B button B can be pressed smoothly down without any problems. however, button A does not presses smoothly: there is an _audible_ loud "click" in between the presses. Is this normal? Thank you! BTW: I'm sending this to The Zigmeister for pre-service once I have the new bracelet for fitting.
  16. Ladies watch size.. that's the thing that I need to get me started Does the diameter need to be thick? if so how thick? I need to start hunting
  17. Hmmm.. upon closer inspection, this bracelet has dented links... ugh.. like if you take a power tool to the stainless steel and scrape it a bit.. ouch. I think I will ask for some sort of replacement bracelet from Andrew. But I'll wait for his first reply re: the original problem. Thanks for the support guys!
  18. Yes By-tor: those are clasp micro-adjustment holes. The holes which the bearings fall off of is similar in size, but different location. I'm sure you know which bearings I'm talking about. In my (simple) terminology, they make the 'click' sound when one closes the Tag Heuer Link bracelet clasp.
  19. I just got it from Andrew.. ultra-fast shipping! awesome! I didn't even have a chance to wound the watch. But my problem is this: There's 'clicky' ball bearings in the clasps that hold it in place... they always fall off... look at pics below for details.. The sucky thing is everytime I open the clasps the ball bearing literally shoots out Took me an hour to look for on my carpet floor. I just emailed Andrew and waiting for a reply; I'm sure he'll have a good solution since he is prolly the best reviewed sellers out there. Anyone else experiencing this?
  20. I reported the items to eBay. sigh.. this is scary. Cheating others for couple hundred bux is no good.
  21. Ken, I know what you meant. I am expecting a Tag Link coming soon, and i will send it off to The Zigmeister for pre-servicing. Total cost will be $500 already You are right! it is fun!!
