I think your in for a surprise as to how many of these parts won't just "fit". Solid gold TT bracelet $1000, gen 3135 $2000-$2500, rep gold bezel $400. Plus the price of the original watch, $300 or so? Your close to $4000 in a rep. You can pick up a gen for between $5000-$6000 if you look.

Darth Alex can test watches up to 200 meters. All mine are tested by him, and never had a failure yet.

The WM9 TT Sub was the best in many respects, but it's shortcoming was the dial which as nice as it is, isn't even close to the candy cobalt blue of the gen. The MBW version (with its errant left of center "Swiss Made") has a near perfect match for color. Unfortunately, the maker of the MBW is out of bezel insert and has been for some time. Best option would be buy a bezel insert-less watch and get a WM9 insert from BK. Still left with bare SEL sides, but there's always a trade off on the TT. The dial color to me is more important.

Welcome to the club! The stem problem in these watches is pretty well known, as is the fact a gen stem won't work. I haven't heard of anyone finding a stem that does work outside the factory that makes this little time bomb of a movement. I had two break on me. Got new stems from Puretime. And then got rid of the SA3135's for good. Stick to ETA's for reliability.

I have a MBW TT Sub inbound from Reg. Never owned a MBW, but the pictures look great and I hear good things about them.

Pretty sure it'll fit. I have them on my Explorer 2 with a SW-220.

The MBW has a bit of a wokky rehaut to it. I've heard it can take gen parts, but can't confirm it. The WM9 is top of the pile for Subs, if the printing on the dial was brighter gold, it would be a virtual twin to the gen.

A TT WM9, is the holy grail of Subs. And ridiculously hard to find. But the end result is a watch virtually indistinguishable from gen. Just the dial gives it away, but you have to be pretty anal to notice. My MBW TT ships Monday from Narikaa, I'll post pictures when it gets here in about a week.

Expect to pay a grand or more for a gen dial. My Explorer 2 dial went for $500, and my 16613 went for $600, and these were older dials sitting in stock for a while. LV dials could be a tough find.

Why would you pay that kind of money for a watch with that movement? It's not going to fool anyone asthetically, even if you were going to open up your watch to show it off. The rehaut engraving doesn't line up either. Should be R's lined up on the 5 minute marks on one side X's on the other. If it's a plated watch, how can the sides of the SEL's be silver? I've bought several TT Subs from various dealers and got rid of every one of them because of quality issues. The only decent one I've found (besides my WM9) was the MBW. Your money, buy what you like.

So other than the novelty of having a movement that mostly looks like a 3135, this can or cannot take gen hands? Looks like it will take a gen dial, but that's hardly worth buying it for. I'm at a loss as to significant benefits from copying something 90%? Why not go the extra 10% and do it right?

The best 16613 I have found is the MBW one. (That is that's still available.) Here's By-Tors review of that watch. The Noob version isnt available anymore. Despite being a bit wokkish, the MBW has the best 16613 dial made I think. You can get one through Narikaa here on the dealers list. Mine will ship out this week. Or you can hunt (like everybody else) for the elusive nigh perfect WM9 16613. That's as good as it's ever going to get.
