  1. Hi, I am getting the bug to get a new watch. The 2 that really catches my eye now are the HBB Black Magic all Ceramic or the new Concord C1. Which is the better rep in terms of closeness to gen and build quality? Would really appreciate some comments or opinions especially from owners of these 2 great watches. also, would any modding be required on any of them? Thanks! Mark
  2. This is really great news especially for a newcomer like me. I am going to get a 092 0r 252. Have bought a V 1:! CG, awaiting a Lello DW and with a crown from this, it should looke fantastic. Just need advice from experts here on which crown is suitable for the 2 models I mentioned? Finally, thanks to T for the awesome job! Mark
  3. Thanks for the advice guys! I haven't actually bought the watch yet! Will probably order from Chris (Eurotimez). Hope you don't mind Chirs if I borrowed your picture to use. Can you guys tell me if the cyclops on this can be changed? Also, would DSN's crystal fit the 252 not sourced from him? Thanks!
  4. I have finally decided that I will be getting the Pam 252 GMT. Have resisted for a long time but finally caved in, the watch is beautiful! However, need to ask the Pam experts on their opinions. The cyclops on it, can it be removed or swapped with a Chieftang cyclop? I have just bought a V 1:1 CG from a member here and would also get a Lello DW. So the cyclop issue is one I need advice, do i change it or is the one that comes with the watch a good cyclop? Would also getting a gen or Palp crown help? Would appreciate all advice on this. Thanks! Mark
  5. Hey, that looks just like my Ingy! Sorry, not too sure about new parts as I never asked. I just received a pm from him yesterday. He is back from his holidays.
  6. Your watches looks awesome! I definitely agree Lello is a very easy guy to deal with. Unfortunately for me, I had quite some issues with my Ingy. Well, I suppose its always a risk we have to take with our hobby and I agree it's definitely not anybody's fault. I feel I am really lucky in the sense that most of the members here have been very nice and patient with my pms and requests. This is just one of the very best example of how the members of this forum have gone out of the way to help! it is really great here! Thanks to everyone for the nice comments on the watch. I am no expert but the Ingy with Jakub's AR and Lello's DW, well, that is about as good as it gets!
  7. I finally received my Ingy yesterday from Lello yesterday!. I was so happy as it has always been one of my favourite reps. After months of waiting and sending the watch all over. I finally got it back with all the mods, double AR from Jakub and a lello DW! It looks fantastic! The reason fro this is not just about me finally receiving the watch but more importantly, how I have been incredibly lucky with all the assistance from the forum members here, especially Lello who really went out of the way to help me. I bought the Ingy about March this year from Chris at Eurotimez. It was a great transaction and I have to say that he has been the best dealer I have dealt with. anyway, the deal was to ship the watch directly to Jakub for the double AR Coating. Next, I contacted Lello for one of his Ingy DWs. Lello replied and again, the DW was sent to Jakub or installation as well. Then the wating as first the Ingy arrived in Poland and then the DW. The first DW had some issues but Lello was great about it and he shipped another one to Jakub promptly! So I waited and finally, Jakub informed me my Ingy was ready, it was coated with his latest coating. I was really excited as I have just got my Corum Admiral Cup back from him with his latest coating and it looked fantastic so therefore I knew that the Ingy would also look wonderful. However, there were some bad news as Jakub could not get the DW to align properly, the DW sits slightly higher than it should. When it finally arrived in early June, I hoped that it would be not too noticeable. However, it was sitting too high and was very obvious. I was really frustrated then, not at anyone but just at my own bad luck! Having gone through all this trouble, I was not about to just give up. I contacted Lello again and asked him for help. I suggestd sending the watch to him to have a look. Lello was very nie about this, he agreed immediately and said he would let his waqtchsmith have a look. So, off goes the Ingy to Italy. Some minor issues with customs in Italy and Lello even paid the taxes for me first! Then I waited and finally, the Ingy arrived yesterday. I would really like to show my appreiation to all the members who have been really helpful and patient with me. Jakub, Chris (Eurotimez). However, special thanks to Lello for all his help. This guy has really gone out of the way for me. He was patient with replying to my pms and even solving the problem for me. He doesn't even know me and i have only bought one DW from him! So thank you very much, Lello! You are truly a great guy! It is indeed my pleasure to have known a friend like you! Mark

    Pam 092

Thanks for the feedback! So will try to source for a Palp crown. But I thought the bezel on the latest "ultimate version" is good and has 60 clicks like gen? Please correct me if wrong.

    Pam 092

After a lot of reading on the forum, I have decided to get the Pam 092 ultimate edition (Puretime). I have been sending pms to people like ssssurfer, V for advice and would like to thank them for their feedback for the various question on different models I was contemplating. What I would like to ask the Pam experts here is that for the 92, what are the mods neede to make the watch even more gen-like? Would be ordering one of V's CG and also try to get an OEM crown off the bay, would a normal stainless steel one be able to fit? Also, will try to get a Lello DW. Any other mods that would be required? Would appreciate all feedback. Thanks
  10. Mine looks just like that! Really sorry, my camera is out! Will post pics of the other watches I have sent for modding works once they are back!
  11. Oh yea, how did I miss that? a pity, this was really a beautiful watch (the gen at least). From where I am from, people seem to dismiss this brand. I used to as well but these couple of years, I noticed that they have really improved in terms of design and movement. Of course, I understand the rep movement is way off (gen has pvd coating on screws and bridges). I was just hoping that the dial was replicated accurately, especially as the gen has a silver dial. Oh well.....
  12. Would like to ask anyone's opinion on this new watch I saw posted by King - Maurice Lacroix (Le Chronographe). I think it is a beautiful watch. The specs as sted by king are : movement :venus manual hand movement glass:sapphire size:44.5mm dial:silver&black case:steel strap: black leather strap Looks good to me , only the deployant buckle, not sure the gen buckle is like that. Anyone has this watch, gen or rep and would like to comment on how good this is? Thanks
  13. Sorry. No pics. Just wanted to show appreciation to The Zigmeister and all at RWG for the valuable information gained. My camera(which by the way is not that fantastic in the first place) has broken down and haven bought a new one yet.
  14. Having read many great reviews on the wonderful work done by The Zigmeister, I finally decided to send my Cousteau Diver to him for some modding works. with research (from this forum), I found out what was needed to be done. Sent a pm to him and fortunately for me, Rob was able to slot me in foe some time in mid April. well, after much waiting, I finally just received the watch from the EMS guy. What else can I say that has not been mentioned many times here already. The watch was beautiful, the lume shines like a torch, all the hands have been aligned properly. One thing I did notice was that after the date wheel change, it has become more gen like in the sense that both day and date seems to change when the hours hands reaches 12 oclock. Well, dont' know what Rob did but beautiful work. As a first-timer for modding works, I have been lucky in getting the master himself to work on my watch. Many thanks The Zigmeister and i will definitely be contacting you again for more works in the future(hopefully, I can get a slot !) Thanks ! Mark
  15. I have a CD that will coming back to me after some modding works done by The Zigmeister. Can't wait to see his wonderful work. Really love the watch and i am sure The Zigmeister will only make it even better! Would like some advice if i should send it for a double AR Coating as well? Any comments and advice would be appreciated! Thanks!
  16. Sssurfer, I am sure you are right. You guys are the experts, that's why I posted to ask for your opinion? Maybe its wishful thinking but I was hoping to find the perfect Pam rep! After peeshow's nformation the how the markers are engraved in the gen, it kind of dampen my enthusiasm for this watch. Peepshow, Thanks. Now its which HBB to buy if I do decide to go with that? Mark
  17. Peepshow, Thanks for the information on the dial. Now I know on the difference between the pics of the gen and reps. Love the watch, now have to decide if I want this or HBB!
  18. guys, Thanks for all the opinions, really appreciate. looking at DSN's pics, it does seems that peepshow has a point about the markers being pushed in from the edges too far. Also, I have another quation about the markers. The DSN pic show the markers are raised or sausage dial? But a lot of pics I saw on the net seems to show a flat dial with painted markers? Can any please verify this and correct me if I am wrong? I have attached a pic of a gen Pam 82 fro reference. Thanks!
  19. Hi, Would like to ask the Panerai experts on this forum on their opinion on this new DSN Pam 82. How does it compare to the gen? What are the glaring flaws? I like this watch but have always have a problem in pulling the trigger on a Pam due to the many flaws pointed out. Therefore, any opinions on this particular model would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
  20. This is a great review and I am also waiting for one. Bought from Eurotimez (very smooth transaction) and now with jakub for AR Coating and installation of Lello DW. Can't wait to get it back. (Actually, haven't even seen it yet as it was shipped directly to Poland for AR Coating!) Would really appreciate any advice on how to polish the crown to get the crown to near the gen polished look? Thanks, Mark
  21. Thanks, Yes it was a lot I suppose. The funny thing is, I don't even have one in my hands yet!
  22. Hi, My name is Mark and would like to just introduce myself. I have been a member on RWG for about a year now. haven't really posted anything as I have been really busy with reading the threads. what I am amazed is the passion and knowledge of the members here. I am also grateful to all the respected members here who have always replied to my pms for opinions or advice. People like The Zigmeister, lanikai, Lello, K2222, SSSurfer have been really patient with me and for that I would like to say a big thank you! I have been more active on the forum these past 3 months and have recently purchased some reps. Throug reading the threads and also advice from members, these are what I have at the moment : Cousteau Diver (wtih The Zigmeister for modding) Corum Admiral Cup (with K222 for Ar Coating and changing to ETA date wheels) IWC Ingy (again, with Jakub for AR Coating and also chaing to Lello DW) Chopard GT XL Chrono Ltd Etd Grey Dial (Just ordered last Friday) Have spent quite a bit and now just waiting for these watches to be back. Will try to post pics when I get the watches back though I am a terrible photographer. For the watches, I bought a couple from the dealers here on RWG and the rest from a local dealer though it may seem to be better to buy from the dealers on RWG as the prices seems to be lower! That's all for now and again, thank you to everyone who have replied to my pms or emails. So far, my experience here has been great!
  23. Hi, Would this fit the Big Bang? If yes, I am interested, please let me know how to go about ordering and payment method. Thanks, Mark
  24. Hi, I am new to this forum. Actually, I have been here for a couple of months now and have been reading up on a lot of the posts here. i have to say that you guys are the most passionate people I know about watches, rep or gen. In fact, I have just purchased my first rep (PAm 111H) and am trying to get the mods done like changing the crowns, hands. I have sent PMs to people like vacuum and Palp and they seem friendly enough. To be honest, I have not thought of buying a rep until I read this forum. I have nothing against reps and in fact find them very good. Prior to this forum, I did not know that there were so many flaws in the reps and I have to say some of you really have very sharp eyes! The dedication you guys have for this hobby is really amzing. I will continue to read and learn from this forum but please excuse me if my rare postings do not make much sense as compared to you guys, I am really a newcomer although I have been interested in watches for a very long time and have been collecting them for a while too. My favourite brands right now would be IWC, JLC and also Seiko. I will try to post a picture of the my rep Pam 111 when I can. Thanks!
