That's really impressive that a 5 year old camera can take pics like that. My 5 year old Cannon A300 POS barely takes standard shots
On a side note, I'm eyeballing that rep currently so those shots really help me see the little details that watch offers. Thanks.
Tough choice. I only own one rep so far and two gens, and i've got a rock solid beater watch in my quartz swiss army - that sees quite a beating when i'm working on my car.
I guess if I had to pick one gen to wear all the time it would be the noobmariner. Good rep, but not so expensive that i would mind wearing it while covered in oil and grease and could also wear it while dressed up for work.
My wife got her first BS in Psychology before she changed gears and moved to philosophy, so we always try to do surveys. This one in particular i jumped at when i saw it. Good luck with the study.
I haven't been here long enough to really feel like i have a say in this discussion, but if I do have a say, this would be my vote. what a gorgeous watch.
I noticed that too. I think he purchased the SS model (since i see the band in his pics) and also purchased the brown leather croc strap which I think looks much better than the gator strap.
Perfect combo I think.
from what i understand TAG is still working on perfecting the 13 miniature belts in this watch so they they will last somewhere from 5-7 years inbetween servicing. At least, that's according the article i read in Watch Time about it. I think they're looking to put this watch into production next year.
I was wondering about that because the description says "Vintage style non-click bi-directional bezel". Saying "vintage style" implies to me that the original didn't click, but I don't know enough about the original gen to know if that is correct or not.
That being said, i doubt my dad would care one way or another.
ok..here's the story. He had a gen of this watch in the 60s when he was in the Navy - purchased from the ship's store. A buddy of his got out of the navy want wanted one, so my Dad sold him his watch thinking he'd just go back and buy a new one from the ship's store. Well..the store stopped carrying them. He's always wanted another one.
I'm looking at this vintage rep Sub for my dad for a birthday present, it looks to be the best vintage sub rep out there, and the closest to the James Bond sub worn in Dr. No and Goldfinger (reason he wants it...long story)
Has anyone here purchased this piece?

Great pics, just now seeing this thread. I've never done single seaters, but I try to do track events as often as possible in my RX7, i've even just gotten the wife on track in her first event in her RX8.
I'm eyeballing this strap on ebay:

Is this the real deal or a rep? I'd like to get a gen strap for my GT but i'm having a hard time telling if this one is real or not.
Thanks!
