  1. I bought a ver.1 white dial to swap it into my graphite dial ver.2 - ver.1 has not as much blue tint on the crystal imitating AR - ver.1 has pearl slightly displaced and the "B" is not as nicely engraved. - ver.1 has better klicking bezel though - ver.1 came with wrong datefont - ver.1 has wrong black hands after the swap I had this:
  2. Thats great! Hopefully they will make this one correct... A good rep of this is overdue!
  3. Agreed. Just make the lugwidth correct... (Unlike the MarkXV replica)
  4. Haha, cool. Looks like we already achieved something.
  5. Yes, Jakub AR'ed it for me. These pics don't do it justice - the dialwaves pop out amazingly. Next to that, my watchsmith fixed the clasp and aligned the bezel.
  6. I am so happy to have it back. Well, it was worth the wait - what do you think?
  7. Extremely well made tutorial, best I have seen so far. This is what makes our hobby so much fun! Thanks for your effort!
  8. Easiest option would be to make the case a few milimeters thicker. I don't know if there is a reliable asian movement with a similar thickness to the eta 2892 A2? Best option would be of course to put the gen item in, but very expensive and hard to source... I would be happy with a casekit without movement. That means correct case, crystal, dial and hands for eta 2892. I would take care of the 2892 A2 myself, then.
  9. Problem I see is that the eta 2824 is too thick. The genuine Mark XVI uses an eta 2892 A2, that is why it is only 11,5mm thick. The lugsize is 20mm.
  10. and by Harrison Ford in Firewall
  11. Tag Link was worn by Matt Damon as "Jason Bourne" and the Steelfish is a lot more "fancy"... I would choose the Mark XVI over both of them any time though.
  12. Maybe they feel it is not pricy or fancy enough? I don't know. But I wore this watch a several times at the AD and absolutely fell in love with it...
  13. I love this watch. And would definately buy it! (In fact, I would put a genuine MarkXV dial in it imediately)
  14. Hahahaha, thx - you made my morning!
  15. Hey guys, this watch really caught my eye in an AD and I need a gift for my fathers birthday. Could you please post a picture of your black Timewalker non-chrono? Haven't seen this watch here yet, only silver or the chronograph... Thanks!
  16. @richyman: very interesting version, not quite accurate but I like the black/red look. Never seen it before. @Andy: I'll bring it to the GTG, so you can check it out yourself, if I manage to get there. Thanks to all of you, comments are truly appreciated!
  17. Awesome pictures Yello! Added to the IWC guide!
  18. Awesome pictures Raymond. Wear it in good health!
  19. check out: http://www.rwg.cc/members/index.php?showtopic=64886 just drop him a pm for questins. He is avery nice person to deal with.
  20. WOW! And they have Splitminute Chronographs, too... Amazing. But why are they using pictures of genuines stating they're replicas? Sorry. It SCREAMS scam.
  21. It is a obvious mix out of the Doppelchronograph "TOP GUN" 3799 and the 3786 Doppelchronograph. The only part taken from the TopGun model is the caseback, while the rest looks pretty much like the doppelchrono. To become a good topgun rep it will need (besides the dimension) an engraving below the ten o' clock pusher with the TopGun-logo, differtent second hands (red planes at the end) and titane crown and pushers. to make a good doppelchrono rep, it will just need the right caseback, titane crown and pushers.. But still I like it: as long as you wear it, it will look good. Just don't show of that caseback...
  22. Sorry to hear that. Maybe they will let it go after all. Good luck to you!
