  1. If you return the fine adjuster to center, you can move the regulator arm to get the rate to where you want it.

Don't move the stud arm, as you will alter the beat, it's trial and error without a timing machine when you move the regulator arm...just be careful, and use your loupe while making the adjustments.

The little arm opposite the screw adjust is for grosser, larger scale adjust right? Then the screw is to fine adjust, say in 4 second increments. I am not worried about a scope, I am getting good at adjusting them to less than 4 seconds a day. I have one seagall type movement that is running at only 4 seconds off a week, talking about luck. I have an Optivisor and it is so nice to see things up real close. :victory:

  2. The layer of gold in the link you specified is microscopically thin.... If I were to guess I would say it is 2-3Mils (just look at the astounding price difference)

I would definitely get this watch from Joshua. he sells it with 14K WRAP - that is a very very thick quantity of gold... You will be paying more but you will get peace of mind.

    Good luck!!

I really like the look of 18k gold and don't have any 14k stuff. Do you think the 14k looks that crappy compared to the 18k?

  3. I have a new Sub watch that runs way to fast. I adjusted the little screw to maximum (slower). The watch is still a little fast. Can I put the indicator back to where is was at the beginning (center), then move the big lever on the opposite side so as to not have the little adjustment screw off scale?

  4. I have used the search function and read many post regarding the different dealers. Please add your opinion or advice, it is greatly appreciated. I am interested in a Noobmariner or the likes. Two dealers here have them for around 100.00 with the 2813 movement. Then Womart has the so-called perfect sub for around 149 that has the 2836 movement. For the two main dealers here, it is around 188 to enter into the 2836 movement. What is the best value and quality out there? Thanks. :victory:

  5. Honestly? I have absolutely no idea. He started editing all my posts with a quote I made in one of his threads, "Putain, de quoi en parle," which was a reply I made when everyone started talking in German.

Then he wanted me to apologise for saying it. Next thing I know, I'm banned.

ps. The translation is roughly "What the [censored] are we talking about?"

rofl :victory: How can you be banned if you have your own forum there?

  6. Oh...G.W. Bush this and that...[censored]

judging by the Stephane you are either French or worse Canadian so please be quiet. If you are Canadian your opinion is useless and if you are French your opinion is quasi-useless unless we are talking about Champagne, berets, or the best way to surrender in war. Worldwide economic stablily could and would continue without either of those states...

Now having said that...I like your watch and nice pictorial.

BTW-if the dollar is so worthless why are 30-year treasuries on a huge run...foreign buyers must still find the underlying credit attractive

It becomes tiring reading negative comments about the French. My wife is from Normandy and she is an incredible human being with so many great qualities that many spoiled, fat American woman lack. I understand to make negative comments about French people is just bigoted stupidity and comes from insecure people with low self-esteem to make them fell more important. :victory:

  7. Swear to anything it's real and professionally installed, cross my (to you unknown..yes) heart.

If the grid is not distorted, then something is definitely off. The case doesn't look uniform on the points that make up the base for the bracelet attachment.

  8. In swimming and diving, pressure is given not only by the depth, but also by the movements of the swimmer / diver and other issues. In addition, the 1 ATM pressure of air at the sea level must be taken in account.

In the end, a 10 ATM watch is good for swimming, but not for diving.

Do you mean cliff diving or deep sea diving?

  9. I have a new Sub 2836-2 from one of the two reputable dealers here. I notices after the first six hours of use it was around 5 seconds fast and after 24 hours it is 16 seconds fast. Do these watches necessarily run fast the first few hours? I know how to adjust the time but was just wondering if it's normal, thanks. :victory:

  10. I needed to revisit this... my success rate has been excellent of late... probably 3 in 4.

Tonite I reported an Omega, which was only questionable to the layman ( just a wrong description.. and a "good" seller) and it was pulled within 2 hours! This has NEVER happened before!

I sit here wondering if ebays' increased recognition, has any correlation to the increased endeavours of PP?

ie, If I keep winding up ebay, am I also increasing PP's surveillance?

    Thoughts?

    Offshore

    Wow. :victory:

  11. I'd find this map funny if I didn't still meet many rednecks who think that the world revolves around the USA.

The culture, civilization, legal system, free economy and language was transported there from Europe just a while ago. For some weird reason lots of Lukes and Bubbas somehow visualize that these great things are all invented in the US... in a country that's just a few hundred years old for Chrissakes!!! I find that almost hilarious.

Nothing against America though... great country. I just despise the arrogant rednecks (regardless of their nationality).

They are the same people that voted for and support King Bush. :victory:

  12. I have a 18k Sub bracelet from one of the dealers here. My problem is when I went to size the band yesterday, I discovered some of the screws are bad. As I tried to unscrew one very stiff screw, it just seized. Now it won't even go either way, in or out. On another link, the screw just spins around all the way in, either tightening or loosening. Any suggestions are appreciated. I do not want to go to the trouble of sending it back to China, thanks.
