  1. Not boasting on the precision or quality of any of these. With two kids, I don't have the time and patience to make these perfect. One day however, I'll whip out the paint brush and do some actual lettering on my own. ;)

    Cool :victory:

  2. Many thanks to all who have added here.

I think I dodged the bullet. For one thing, elsewhere, I read that they closed up shop one step ahead of the law this afternoon.

I DID get in touch with them by phone and cancelled and also e-mailed them...paper trail.

So far there hasn't been a charge to my card, but I did enroll in a month's free fraud protection with the ccd company. Those creeps. Who knows what they'll do with my ccd number ?

You guys and forums like this are hidden. I never saw you on Google, maybe because I didn't go to page 25.lol

How I stumbled upon you, I don't know. There's a lot to learn here, especially about the collectors on photobucket.

One sure thing, I will NOT order anything without putting it on the trusty credit card.

Now, on to finding my first rep watch !

Where did you read they closed up shop?

  3. I've ordered a ss Submariner this past Monday using my credit card from a site out of NY that I'm coming to believe is a scam, bluefakes.

What is promised is a 31 jewel zenith movement in a " Swiss-like " casing. The price is $300. It is supposed to be shipped in a week.

I have to admit that I don't know what I'm doing in the rep market.

They are promising a two year guarantee.

Is this believable or am I getting scammed ? Can I cancel the order ?

Any advice would be appreciated. I've always wanted the Submariner. It's a bag of snakes out there.

Zenith movements from ZenithMotor? They don't have any Zenith movements in their possession. They are just scammers and liers. They are criminals commiting wire/mail fraud and racketering. I hope they get run over by a train. To the shill here, get f**k**g lost!!

  4. I returned a faulty watch to one of the trusted dealers here. I sent it like two weeks ago, registered airmail. The dealer says it hasn't arrived there yet. Should I be concerned or does it take that long going into China? Thanks.

  5. I didn't want to spend 34.00 on a hand removal tool (Bergeon). Are the one for 10.00 pure junk and is the 34.00 worth it? I have a sub that need to have the stem release mech repositioned. I will have to take off the hands to get there, thanks.

  6. Dear fellow members

It has come to my attention from some members that there is someone in the Forums or maybe more than 1 person who is going around sending PMs and EMAILS in the Forums that they have a website for the members to purchase items:

    http://www.724buy.com/

This site STOLEN all my pictures, descriptions and also didnt even do a watermark hide job properly at all.

BEWARE!!!! I am in NO WAY affiliated to this site and if you are UNSURE next time when you stumble upon a site with my stolen pictures, PLEASE DONT BUY from them. I am sure they are just other scam sites who are out to SCAM unaware customers. Thanks!

    Have a nice weekend

Geez man, that sucks. Some people need to have their legs removed. <_<

  7. I followed your instructions to the letter, now your changing them...

On this model, as you can plainly see, the hour and cannon pinion will NOT fall off, they are held in place with the big cover thing, it's plain to see in the pictures.

I did use L&R cleaner and rinse, it's the only thing I have in the shop, and blew the movement with my dust blower and dried and dried it...

I did not use "too" much grease in the barrel wall, you forgot to mention how you remove the "OLD" dried and gummed up grease, when the spring bridle is tight up against the side of the barrel... All my serviced watches run longer than the factory specifications after I am finished with them, no slippage on my end. But dont' ask me, ask anyone who had a movement serviced at my shop.

    Makes hairsprings?

Amazing, considering a difference of 1/10,000" in thickness of a Mainspring will equal to 6 minutes of time change per day on a movement, I am in awe that this person can fabricate a "hairspring"...I can't imagine the tolearnces it requires... There is one maker or hairsprings in the world, a member of the SWATCH group...

I am not willfully ignorant in this topic, but it appears that you are. The proof is in the pictures, and if that's not enough, just "Google" watch servicing and see what comes up, better yet, post your way on TZ and watch the sparks fly.

You can keep your "Swish and Dip" scam servicing, I'll keep to the real one...

I just got done reading your Sub restoration project (the one in the box). That is an incredible documentary, thanks for sharing.

  8. I'm getting the feeling somone else is making an assclown out of himself by quoting the entire 16page long post made by The Zigmeister...!

edit: i see you fixed it, attaboy!

Did you take the foot out of your mouth dummy?

  9. @ Torques

Joe went out of his way to help explain how to perform this task with pictorials, maybe some acknowledgment would be nice? if we dont acknowledge each other's work and time, soon, members will be less inclined to contribute to our community.

bazz, yours is great as well - maybe they should sticky that. Seems like a common problem.

    Who made you my mother?

  10. Ok, I have taken off the back but I didn't touch anything inside. I notice there is supposed to be a little button or tab in that hole to the left of the stem path. There is nothing in there as shown on photos from this website. Maybe that part fell off inside, regardless, from what I am telling you guys, do you think I can fix it or not. I tried putting the stem back in but it does not catch anything inside. Thanks.

  11. Thanks, maybe I misspoke there. They (I believe) are out of the U.S., the money is paid to a bank in the U.K., and the owner lives in Canada. Something like that, not sure. Either way, they are crooks and thieves!

No, he doesn't live in Canada either, sorry.

  12. BestSwiss Sucks! Pure and simple, and their watches are not of good quality, and once you know what you are looking at, they are not even that close to the real ones.. These guys are scammers, I know becuase I was in your shoes two years ago. I hadn't found the old RWG at the time, and this site was not around, so I went by some B.S. review boards that just happened to be run by the same scammers. Expensive lesson learned. My watch broke after a few weeks, and they never got back to me. I tried to get the Credit Card company involved, but they (BestSwiss) had a round about way around it, being based in Canada, shipping from the U.S., money being sent to the U.K. Nothing ever resolved, just had to bite the bullet. Found the old RWG shortly thereafter, and got educated real fast with the typical noob treatment, that was probably somewhat deserving. I then proceeded to read and read, and now do so on a daily basis here. Learning something new everyday. I would recomend a lot of reading here. No need to go any place else. If you can't learn it here, you're not going to. By the way, several dealers here have much better watches than Bestswiss has anyway. Wish I had known that then, for I would be richer and well, now wiser. Good luck in your future purchases, and please, please, if you are going to buy, read reviews here, ask questions here, or PM me, whatever.. People here are always willing to help.

Bestswiss is NOT out of Canada. It is one of around 10 or more all run by the same thief(ves). They are criminals guilty of wire fraud, mail fraud and racketeering, plain and simple.
